It was time to switch tactics, she had no choice unless she truly wanted to retreat. With her knees bending she let them fall to the ground. Her chin lowered as far as it would naturally. Demoly brought her hand to hover just over her right wound, but not to touch it. Her hand was full with her sabers hilt.

"I don't have a choice like you do. I sold my soul a long time ago...there is no excape from the dark side for me." She was no longer portraying a threatening stance and would not strike at him if he came up close. No, something else was on her mind.

It was working! He had done it. He was gleaming with happiness in reaching her. Stepping closer, he watched her change in demeanor. He would have to show her some faith. So, he held his still ignited lightsaber at his side and bent over her. Standing under a foot away, Teferrus thought for sure he had brought hope to her where once she had none.

Yet in her weakened state, Matt flinched in mind's connection of a flashing vision. Unable to decipher it at this moment, he was simply shaken by it; and he hoped she would come to know the Light as he had, and give him a chance.

[NEARBY...]

Standing in the doorway, the woman's body fell to the floor limp before him. Teary eyed and huddled in the corner, the boy simply watched as the cloaked figure stood tall in darkness. Yes... he was here. He had indeed come for the boy, as all of his children's missions carried some connection to what he desired. And at this time, he desired this boy. Easily keeping tabs on the unsatisfactory battle, if he would even call it such, Ledo was disappointed. He wondered how low his child was capable of sinking, and to what devices she would attempt in disparity. None could escape him, and should she fail - he would find her and END her!

"You should leave," She warned him, "Don't try to help me." She stood up to meet the man, using the one able hand to, hopefully, push against his chest to 'nudge' him away. However, she used the weakest amount of pressure she could on him and as a woman it was a very soft push indeed.

The touch lowered his defenses even more. He looked over the slight damage done to her face. She was, truthfully, beautiful. And though she had sustained electrical scars there, he still wished to convey her enduring polish.

He would hold back the emotion, this was not the time for that. He instead, softly in turn, reached for her pressing hand and held it with compassion; his lightsaber deactivating. He worried that this was all a trick, but keeping his lightsaber hilt in hand - he was somewhat ready for any attack. "Let me help you." He was close now, their foreheads coming together gently. "I can. I can help you."

What the Jedi hadn't seem to remember, or decided to ignore, was the only hand Demoly could use still grasped her lightsaber hilt in it. And it was pressed against his chest on a slight angle now - even closer now that he held her hand. Conveniently, she already had her finger on the trigger, all it would take was the smallest amount of pressure to ignite it. Which, she applied, and as her dark crimson blade ignited so close to his chest she would use all the force power she had left to grip him in place. There was always a chance for escape but she thought she had the advantage now. This was her tactic - her next move in the game, using the Jedi's blind code of honor against him.

"Jedi are so predictable...you fell right into my trap." Her ego had returned, she was proud of herself for pulling off the simple, yet it seemed, successful act. She did not have to lie, she just spoke, so this is what she expected sold the act the most. However, she sensed fathers anger, and only hoped he could see her move as a devious one. She would not know until she faced him again, and in the back of her mind she hoped their next meeting wouldn't result in a punishment.

His eyes widened, milliseconds before the act; though as he jerked away, his body held still and was skewered.

"ECK..."

His mind hadn't the time to react in understanding; not to wonder why, or to wish he had not trusted her. Lingering in the upright position, he was held by her hold over him. He had proven the fool, having not aired on the side of caution. He only wished to save her. Though his brain played back the last pure thought in his existence. That which was mentioned earlier as a selfless act of the utmost impact. Yet without giving it, his life was taken; he could not offer it as he might have thought to. Though his last wish was of her well being, he now wallowed in darkness; a lost soul...

[Elsewhere...]

A smile wrapped in malice, curling in solitude. "Good..."

It was actually quite the experience for Demoly seeing as she hadn't been that close to a man since her ex. Father may get close but never that close. For a moment she thought about it and as she did her grip on the dieing Jedi loosened till it dissipated into nothingness. Letting her lightsaber go out she didn't smile but a cold, under her breath, chuckle escaped her lips. Now she would find father - or he would find her. She sensed he was unusually closer to her then he was on her normal hunts.

((OOC: Let's skip the whole walking bit and say she found him - or he found her?))

"And so..." The voice preceded his coloring, as pigmentation stretched up his robes in sections of eerie reaches through shadow; appearing behind the falling Jedi, just as her lightsaber went out, before her view.

"Your weakness has been revealed?" Ledo's vague tone would not settle well, as he sometimes enjoyed being misunderstood. It led to further understanding in the subject's rationalization in how they perceive his question to point at themselves. Yet, waiting for her to begin her response, Ledo would interrupt her should she try. "And so did you use...", he'd roll his eyes down at the weak Jedi's smear, "his weaknesses to their full extent."

Ledo seemed to praise her just as he punished her through lack of tone, as he knew she could feel his displeased emotions all through his menial task of acquiring his newest student. There was a connection between him and all of his children; though some more evident than others, he'd utilize their beneficial moments as they suited him. He wanted her to feel it, and use it. "How... does this make you feel?" He'd turn his head to the slightest degree, barely motioning to the Jedi below; yet it couldn't have been more clear that he was referring to her newest kill, as every motion of Ledo's had meaning and Demoly would know this by now.

As Ledo appeared before her, Demoly's eyes quickly fell to the ground and her chin lowered a little further down then usual. She could feel his displeasure as clear as she could see him before her. The way he spoke didn't exactly give that away it seemed and Demoly answered accordingly, "He was...a challenge...but I discovered a new power, I will harness it better next time, father..."

Already her amber eyes where on the ground so all she had to do was adjust their height to look at the dead Jedi, "Nothing, father, but I fed off his suffering as he died..." The last question slightly confused her - what was he looking for? Just to confirm she was lieing to the Jedi or something else she wasn't aware of?

Always looking to the future, Ledo noted his child's response. More the curiosities of an old teacher coming through, Ledo calculated her chances against a true opponent. This pitiful boy held no standing in his eyes, and only happened across him when hearing of Teferrus' Master nearby. No doubt he had felt the loss of his student, as Ledo felt each of his failures' deaths daily. So many were giving their lives for him, his nerves had nearly dulled to its pain in loss of connection.

Turning away, the Fallanassi believed it time for the child to make her own path from his guiding aim. She had but one kill left in training, and it would be a difficult one. Teferrus' Master would no doubt be on his way back to the Jedi Temple on Alderaan, and though events unfolded unrelated to the Animus and it's goals - there still might be a chance of unearthing secrets Ledo would rather stay buried. "You will take the Jedi's transport. You will follow it's footsteps back to the last known location, and from there gain a better perspective on your next target. Teferrus' Master was once a pupil of mine... While he will not offer much more in lightsaber combat than his student, his experience in the focused perspective of the Force will broaden your understanding." True, this character was of great power, but his dogmatic approach left much weakness; and so Ledo would expect the worst, while seeing opportunity for furthering his goals. Event's of his own had yet to unfold in his favor, and so he'd have to still rely on his most immediate 'hands' to quell the reaching weeds back to their roots.

Ledo grumbled through to Demoly's and his connection, speaking with the use of his vocals no more; "You will search out this Master, and show him the folly of his ways. Once aboard Teferrus' ship, you will send me the transmission codes. Do not hope to see me again. For when you do, it will be the last thing you ever do.

Ledo would vanish, as quickly as he appeared; and so he'd leave her to it. To begin her days as a lone reaper and bringer of truth in death. Once Ledo made sure he had the means to contact Demoly as he pleased, he'd send her the details of her target
(NPC) and remind her of his ever present gaze through the darkness. This mission (RP'd in the "STORY" section) would take some tracking, also a useful tool need learned by all of his children. Ledo expected this next target to hold challenges in the multitudes, as it most likely would become a numbers game; Teferrus' Master was a teacher at heart, just as Ledo had taught him to be. He'd no doubt be training a student currently, well on their way to becoming another wasted talent in the lies of 'servitude'.

((This will give you time to rp Demoly in other threads as well as ours, go do as you like while searching for this next target. Soon Horizon's bar on Coruscant wil be of use to Animus' members. Gonna try to train her in dealing with multiple opponents to focus on an objective rather than her own ego, as others have shown to their downfall. Demoly would be sworn to secrecy about Animus on her adventures, to never mention it to another soul. However, that doesn't mean she wouldn't necessarily make acquaintances or allies outside of the Animus. Ledo doesn't see ALL, he just makes it seem so to keep a fear in his children. One more kill, bro! Then on to the actual "LIST"! :bitchez ))

((OOC: Awesome, this gives Demoly a ship! I'm going to stick that in her profile. I wanted to RP out any extra equipment like this and so...it happened naturally it seems. That bar also sounds like quite a fun place to rp...Oh, and I was aware Ledo can't always watch Demoly but she thinks he can which she rightfully should; it adds to her [ST]crazy[/ST] her slightly "off" persona. Shes...unique. Also, more training would be nice...I OCCly need it. ))

Demoly recognized the hardships of her next task but also looked forward to it. For after this fight had been over for a bit, it all settled in, it was thrilling. as much as it was life threatening. Even if it had left her with a scared arm, a few bruises and burns in her skin she would hold them as trophies of experience but also have more caution to prevent adding more to her collection. The days ahead would prove to be most interesting as her real life started up again.

The one thing that would disturb her would be the lack of fathers physical presence albeit less fear would be over her shoulders from his immediate grasp. Demoly's eyes moved up only slightly to catch her fathers disappearance. As she did she sent her mind out to answer him, Understood, father. That was it - a chapter of her life coming to a end, making room for the new. It was worthy of her chronicles.
