Maybe if someone takes more than a few days to post, we should skip their turn for now so that the whole thread doesn't get held up when one of us is busy?

My fear with that is that the character gets ignored completely and sort of disappears from the scene..But then again I have had threads just stalled or completely stopped because one person just didn't show up...let's give it another day (or night, in my case..) and then skip them but still follow the order?

I'd say so. keep the order but if you dont post for a few days ya get skipped.
