Elves who live in mountains and use curved swords. XD In fact I think it'd be neat if in the north, a bunch of the more savage tribes and clans are elves. Break the stereotype of the wise and peaceful race. Or if someone else would like to take elves, I'd probably make them like tall dwarves.

That may work. I don't want to get too fantastical though. More realism.

But what you have described thus far may work. The only thing Is it needs to make sense that all of these kingdoms are unified.
