Correct! I placed all the castles so as to evenly distribute where each house is located. If you have a spot you prefer, try to call it out and i'll relocate it.

And yes the colored ones have already beeb claimed. The only other off limits ones are Heldrayth, the city in the middle, and kaith to the east.

After speaking with Fyre and claiming myself a castle and a city, I'll be making a house fairly soon. Watch out plebs.

Backstory: House Barran is one of the eldest established houses in all of Trevast; if it weren't for the lack of proper documentation, they might even feel it worth it to make a claim towards being the oldest established house. What is known for sure of their history reaches far back into the Dark Ages, however, and serves to show the heavy ties they have both to the tribesmen north of them and to House Bayne in the South.

House Barran was one of the houses that arose from one of the many clans of supposedly-uncivilized tribesmen roaming around the area at the time; seeing wonderful grounds for hunting and fishing, along with some farming, this Clan Barran reestablished themselves as House Barran, their chiefs now Kings of the Twin Peaks. They created their ancestral seat, Skytouch Tower, then completely true to its name; a solitary tower with a small keep attached erected on the northeastern of the Twin Peaks, then and still the tallest castle/keep to be found in all of Trevast; the valley below they used for farmground. In this time, they also formed their first bonds with House Bayne, when the Lord Barran of those days offered hospitality to the Lord Bayne at Skytouch Tower, knowing how fierce the winters could be up in the mountains; from there, a fast friendship was forged, not just between the two men, but between both houses in full.

Those days were fierce also with battles, either with other houses or with tribesmen from further north. House Barran never fully left its clan or tribe status behind, and views itself just as much akin as to the wilder men to the North; while this has helped forge bonds of friendship between those clans and House Barran, the relationship has been rocky at times. As well, numerous other houses grew in territory, power, and boldness, and continued to try and subjugate the lands around them into their own kingdoms. One of these houses was House Wolnier, which in its furthest eastward expansion came to the border of the Twin Peaks kingdom. After battles with both the clans to the North and with House Wolnier, and others, House Barran adopted the first words it ever held as a house - "Never Surmounted," words which ring true to this day - the Twin Peaks have never been conquered.

House Barran would often offer aide to those houses friendly to it, chief among them House Bayne, which House Barran would eventually be come closely intermarried with. They gave aide often enough to the other House that their other, unofficial words, started to arise, after a joke by one of the old Lords Barran that "Whenever House Bayne prays, heaven sends us to help them!" From that joke, members of House Barran started to declare "We Are The Blessing," from which also came their new sigil. The most notable event of House Barran's giving aide to House Bayne came in the time of the Lord Desirak I Bayne. The Twin Peaks Kingdom was the only state not to fall victim to the Boteri Dominion, holding true yet again to their claim of "Never Surmounted."

During this time, not only had House Barran offered hospitality and protection to other houses displaced by the Boteri, they had also noticed how the charismatic young Desirak was able to unite the other Houses under his banner; House Barran was the last to join the coalition, with the Lord Ollis III Barran, then in his late fifties, telling Desirak a simple thing after his aide was asked - "We Shall Come," from which come the official words of House Barran in the modern day. Then, upon the field of battle, Desirak's coalition was massing a valiant fight against the Boteri, though as the day wore on the odds seemed to shift in the Boteri's favour. Unexpectedly, House Barran and their army rode forth, accompanied by a horde of tribesmen that the Lord Barran had gathered from those savage clans that were friendly to him. With the arrival of reinforcements and the subsequent shift in morale, Desirak's coalition routed the Boteri, sending them back across the Ab'naki before a stalemate was reached and a truce eventually called for.

In subsequent events, the Lord Barran - proud of the young Lord Bayne and unwilling to watch Trevast fall back into the petty squabbling from before - called for the crowning of Lord Desirak I. Bayne, being the first to name him High King of Trevast and to swear alliegance to him. Soon, the fellow Lords all fell suit, and the kingdom of the Twin Peaks was demoted - in title, though not in size or prestige - to a province, rather than a Kingdom. As the years went by House Barran continued to grant its aid, with its small - but well trained and well armed - military, plus the Lord Barran's friendliness with the northern tribes, being a great boon in every war or battle that arose thereafter, including in the removal of Boteri rulers from Trevast entirely, with the then-Lord Theo Barran, Fourth of His Name, personally leading the vanguard in the battle; however, he unfortunately met his end in the crush of man and steel, and the Lordship passed on to his youngest and only surviving son, Erin Barran the Elder, father of Lord Ollis Barran, the Fifth of His Name.

The city of Riverwatch, just a short ways southeast of Skytouch Tower, is the largest city in the Twin Peaks province; situated just off the banks of the great river Ab'naki, right at the fork of it and one of its tributaries, it is both a center of trade for the northern regions of Trevast and a military emplacement, always at the ready in case of another attempt into Trevast by the Boteri Dominion, always wary and watching for such an attack. Skytouch Tower, meanwhile, has long since expanded outward, becoming a castle fit for as old and large a family as House Barran; however, the original tower is still the tallest, and the original keep is still the main piece of the rest of the castle, and overall, it is just as defensible as it always has been, holding true to House Barran's original words - "Never Surmounted."

Backstory:

The House of Vaiken were once petty kings of their own, known for their hardy warriors namely their archers, skirmish infantry, and the backbone of their armies, the feared Falcon’s Teeth and Silver Legion. The Vaiken’s are hardened warriors, famous for holding against the northmen for centuries. While some people excel at facing others on the field, the Vaiken’s prefer to skirmish and make a threat evaporate with the least amount of their blood spilled as possible. The House of Vaiken has grown rich off their minerals and natural resources and have spent their money on various improvements to the towns and cities of their demesne. Their motto, “We Hold the Way” sums up their personality. They have the sombre duty of defending the north from various hordes and have sent many of their subjects and sons to fight and die for the collective defence of their realm originally and then the realm as a whole.

During the unification, they held off their foes for 20 years and finally negotiated a settlement. The first was that in exchange for their surrender, the crown helps finance the cost of the beacons and forts that the Vaiken’s constructed to defend themselves and in extension the realm. The agreed settlement was that the crown would pay for 55% of the upkeep of the forts and listening posts and the Vaiken’s turned over the Falcon crown and swore to be their man until the end of times (after paying a hefty price in gold).

House Vaiken always looks northward, while many look to the East, the Vaiken’s cast a wary eye north, because you never know when things can stir...

The Lorminwulf, are the feared skirmishers of the House of Vaiken. They are equipped with board shields, swords, axes, bows, and javelins. They are trained to think on their feet and only engage directly if they have superior numbers or terrain. They have made whole armies disappear in weeks. They will constantly be on you, nipping on your heels, stealing your supplies, murdering your outriders, they are the heralds of death, for not close behind is the silver legion and Lundevan… and before you know it, you will slip into death’s embrace.

Just when I get out - they pull me back in.

I was told we are short vikings. I shall remedy this . . . shortly.

I already have the North-eastern mountain spot, mang. Just letting you know. Assuming you mean the one in between those twin-mountains. Talked about it with Fyre and he gave it to me a day or two ago.

I also feel like, whatever ends up being done, our houses will have a rivalry. One focused almost entirely on defending from the North...and one that never fully gave up its clansmen origins and tries to make allies out of most of the northern tribes.

Welp. Looks like I need to find a new place for House Wolnier. XD It's cool though, I can tweak their story a bit and make them more of an eastern style of people.
You don't need to relocate. I gave you the north western spot like you requested man.

lol I saw. that's why I deleted my old message. I thought I'd done it fast enough to avoid being spotted. XD

That being said, I was thinking on things and I might take House Wolnier in a different direction culturally. Make them more easterner rather then northerners. Is Kaith still available to pick, cause I wouldn't mind relocating them there.

Kaith is off limits for story purposes, but the two castles near it are available. South of Elijah's position.

@Cainhurst Crow is relocating to the south-eastern most castle, so either of those choices @Necris will work. I'll adjust the map accordingly later today or tomorrow.

Backstory

The Hawk Lords of old were a large band of vicious savage tribes men occupying the high mountain regions of the kingdom known as dangerous and vicious raiders, of the Tribes of the Hawk Lords the Wind Striders were the largest and strongest and has endured even to this day as a prominent member of the Household.

With Unification driving back the wild tribes into the cold Northern Wastes the Hawk Lord's endured and lingered con raiding from their high hilltop holdfasts for generations. Strongest and largest of these holdfasts was the Hawk's Nest chosen for its formidable natural defenses. As years passed the wildness of the tribesmen faded and they sought more civilised alliances with the nearby houses and growing cities.

The Hawk's Nest has continued to grow over the years of occupation from simple wooden fort to a monolithic mergence of chiselled stone and carved rock and it difficult to tell now where mountain stops and castle starts, all of this has been possible because The Hawk's Nest is ideally positioned in its environment, it sits upon a wealth of silver veins of which the Silverhawk's took their name and a vast fresh water lake hidden deep within the mountain it calls home, and over the years as the castle has grown it has also cultivated agricultural gardens and pools of fresh water and fishponds to sustain its population during the harsh winters that see it isolated from the rest of the world or indeed through sieges.
tumblr_nnqq7h5xlf1tv3g49o1_500.jpg

The wealth of The Hawk's Nest grants the Silverhawk's the ability to maintain a well equipped and trained army, The Lord's Silverhawk pride themselves on their armies and their own martial prowess, yet while their maintain a professional and disciplined force they still retain the savage fighting styles of the tribes men of old.

The Army of Lord Silverhawk While small is made up of

1000 Wind Strider Warriors
soldier_of_fortune_by_asahisuperdry-d99q9z4.jpg
The Wind Striders are the elite specialist troops of the Silverhawk Armies, they are the masters of the traditional tribal combat forms and methods of warfare, experts in ,multi role deployment they are able to work as forward scouts and infiltrating archers to front line combatants, tough and hardy they fall into the category of heavy infantry as while they can ride they dislike fighting from horse back, their weapons and armour as designed for close combat shorter than a longsword they excel at getting inside an enemies attack circle and capitalizing on more brutal forms of combat.

They are commonly deployed as shock and awe troops, striking from a flank to turn the enemy forces.

2500 Infantry 60/40 split between light and Heavy
b6b321ea44242a2b7ed0cb5ae70e40b1.jpg

The light infantry of the Silverhawk army is a well equipped highly trained solider, afforded tailored armour to fit each man and woman in the ranks they forgo elaborate decoration and liveries they instead favor a simple etched hawk upon the breast plate, each soldier is trained in the use of the halberd, axe and sword and forgo the use of a shield instead forming large blocks of disciplined warriors.

tumblr_o34bi40Y3A1t5z3yho1_500.jpg

The heavy infantry take their amrour one stage further adding heavy leg and arm armour many within the Heavy infantry take to wearing leather covered breast and back plates to seperate themselves for the light infantry divisions, The Heavy infantry do not use halberds instead favouring more specialist weapons such as maces, warhammers and poleaxes. Many Knights of the Hawk spend much of their time in the army serving in the ranks of the Heavy Infantry before their elevation into the Knights. Some of the younger Wind Striders also serve in the Heavy Infantry to better learn block warfare tactics.

2000 Archers/Hunters

archer_by_goshun-d5d2kqp.jpg

Archers serving the Silverhawk's are no less equipped, many wear armoured brigandines or coats of plates and have the finest bows crafted for them, they form the main defense of the Hawk's Nest and know many hidden tracks and bolt holes on the approach to the Castle's gates that they can punish the enemy from

pathfinder_society_character_by_camron_brown-d8j9hwm.jpg
Hunter while appearing the least well equipped and most shabby are by no means overlooked, their training is hard and intense for they fulfill the role of the forward guardians of the Hawk's Nest and the advance scouts and spies of the Silverhawk's they are trained to be invisible and are masters of the bow and crossbow. They are also the only soldiers in the Silverhawk army to have made use of Arbelesques but found them to be cumbersome and too unreliable when out hunting, though they have a stockpile of them in the Hunters Lodge within the Hawks Nets to be used in defense of the castle.

1000 Knights of the Hawk

18c645dc779a5faa0ea98a3fcedc78e8.jpg

The Knights of the Hawk are House Silverhawk's personal Knights each one is a highly skilled warrior that has served for a number of years in all other roles of the army, each man and woman in the Knights is a bloodied Wind Strider meaning they have been accepted as a tribesman even if they were born from beyond the tribes lineage, these warriors are the iron clad reserve in any Silverhawk army comfortable in fighting in any role on the battlefield they are clad in the very best armour and awarded the finest weapons that can be forged.

500 Nighthawk's
The Nighthawk's are a law unto themselves free of the chains of command they are Lord Silverhawk's personal retinue and follow him when ever he leaves the Hawk's Nest, they are capable of filling any role on the battlefield and are given the freedom to arm and armour themselves how they please which gives them a wild mercenary feel to their appearance, they manner and behavior only strengthens this appearance but only a fool would believe them to be a rabble of paid mercenaries, they are the truest of servants each one sworn to uphold the Silverhawk name and give their life in defense of the their Liege Lord.

100 Nighthawk's are always left to guard the Castle they and they alone are charged with ensuring that the castle never falls into enemy hands by any means, They answer only to the Castellan who is their commanding officer.
