From one view.

From another view, the republic supreme commander forgot her role, and went charging down a Hutt fleet, allowing herself to be boxed in.

Actually, had Tsar maintained position we wouldn't have been able to box him in.

Or I would have been stuck with my back to the planet and no way to maneuvar against larger odds. As is, I'm gonna fight 60 ships for now, instead of 160+.

Seems good to me.

But not for the rest of us.

If we fight in the atmosphere, they'll have free reign to bomb the crap out of you. If they don't chase me down, I'll slaughter one fleet, then come around and slaughter the others.

Also, you're so tightly intermingled with the Bogan that they can't bomb you from orbit without killing their own, something that they likely wouldn't do if they wanted to stay allies with Bogan.

I actually did think this move through.

But not for the rest of us.

This pretty much. Your mission (as far as I've gathered) wasn't to wipe out or agressively engage the enemy fleet, it was to hold position and stay until the ground objectives were completed, pick up the deployed troops and leave before enemy forces could be sufficiently amassed. It was, after all meant to be a surprise attack - in and out quickly enough before the enemy figured out what was going on.

Instead - and with no communication either might I add - you moved away from the deployment zones of the ground forces to engage a superior force, leaving the ground forces high and dry to find our own way offworld. If you had held your position, Jade ships wouldn't have been able to get into range of orbital bombardment and we wouldn't have needed to hightail it out of there.

tl;dr don't try to put blame on the ground forces - we were responding to your maneuvres. Take some responsibility.

Um, no, if I had stayed put, we would have been locked in position. Did you not read my post? Sure, I could have been like, "hey guys, I'm gonna stay here and get us all killed" or I could do my job and keep the space clear.

I didn't attack Jade right off because I had no info on whether or not they were hostile, and unlike some, Adara doesn't believe in killing everything on sight.

I'm not blaming you, I'm just letting you guys know that I didn't forget my job and run off on you. It wasn't for glory, it was to save your butts, something you didn't seem to get.

They wouldn't have bombarded you because that would have been bombing Bogan which would have ticked them off, or at least, that was Adara's thought process.

In other news, oh well, just letting you know, I didn't leave you guys in the lurch.

For the record there was a database error in between me posting and you posting so I never saw it. Chill dude.

Who said fight in the atmosphere? Drop the troops up then go up to a low orbit. The range of your weapons would have prevented enemy ships from getting in range of orbital bombardment unless they went point-blank with your ships.

Also, you're so tightly intermingled with the Bogan that they can't bomb you from orbit without killing their own, something that they likely wouldn't do if they wanted to stay allies with Bogan.

If you keep assuming the bad guys are going to fight with the same code of honour you do, you're going to lose the war single-handedly. As bad as it looks the Bogan could very well have declared the Dark Jedi ground forces as disposable if it meant killing the Jedi. Besides, the bulk of their remaining garrison was slaves anyway.

Ok, well that's your take on it. My take on it was, if I let the enemy gather, they'll beat me, and then nobody gets off the planet, or I can try and defeat them so the fleet will still exist to lift people off planet.

Sorry if that was such a problem. I tried to do my job.

which " does " earn some IC points... Adara would technically have had no clue that Jade, nor the Hutts are obligated to save any Bogan... if anything Jade wiping out both Republic/Jedi and bogan at the temple would have been an acceptable precaution to ward off sensitive information from falling into enemy hands which were more detrimental to the Bogan, and Jade if recovered by the Republic.

Next time just make sure you tell your deployed troops what's going on mate, otherwise we have to dress up as smelly Bogan and that's not pleasant for anyone. :bitchez

Sorry, I assumed that you wouldn't be in a position to react anyways, since I thought the battle was still underway. I didn't keep totally abreast of those threads.

And Adena, yeah, I actually try to make all IC decisions. (WHOOPS had to edit so it made sense) IC. Metagaming is the enemy. So sometimes my character will make "mistakes" because that's who she is, or she wouldn't know certain crucial info.

Like who the heck the JA were and what they wanted. They were just chilling out of range doing nothing so she figured she had more pressing issues.

Which made me sorta worry at first because I KNEW something like that would be required, and I Knew that Banik would be forgiving if not glad I helped keep our secrets secret...

But I have to deal with the fact that the Bogan in the fleets may or may not be aware that I sent bombers... I wanted to pass while I could still utilize the planet alittle, or may site they went down to scout and found the temple compromised etc etc, and hope THEY buy it.. because they would not know about said dirty little secrets themselves.

Tila has a " realistic" answer that should pacify them if asked...because to be honest as far as she knows Bogan WERE honestly evacuating. So shes picturing a casualty rate of like 1 Bogan for every 3 Jedi.... rather than .5 Jedi for every 3 Bogan.

Even still, I think Banik will probably have a 'long talk' with Tila, Albedo, and the Bogan survivors.

lol ... not sure..we'll see though. That will be interesting none the less anyway and I hope it plays out. Technically all data supports that bombs went off in the temple before actual perimeter bombings started...and now there is nothing left that could possibly leak where the Bogan and his followers went ( or that Jade has connections with them) this act may also still pass onto the Republic that Jade " nothing can keep Ru from blowing the cover of their existence now openly " may still be considered a rogue entity with no completely clear alliances. ^_^

least thats what I'm hoping for, but ready for otherwise.
