So, in curiousity, besides Albedo who fled at the beginning, where there any Bogan survivors? Also, how much of the Bogan ando Prime fleet survived and was the Bloodied Orchid base destroyed the same time the temple was destroyed?

You know, you'd think this would be a lesson that having the entire Bogan nestled in one area is a large risk (though I admit that having several bases would divide the Bogan defenses but would allow for survival of the bogan society as a whole if a base fell instead of the entire bogan being wiped out if the republic manages to find the new HQ)

If you didn't notice it got rid of any silly defenses allowing you guys to actually fight each other. If some of you had actually tried you might have had a fight.

If I was on the Temple then yes, I would have tried, and yes, I might have had a fight.

And actually, I noticed that the people who used it (besides you) were trying to argue that it would shut off the Bogan's lightsabers.

Brandon Rhea said:
Tactically speaking, all the Jedi really accomplished was the destruction of a more or less defunct Bogan Temple on Ando Prime and the killing of some PCs. Ando Prime was meant to be a decisive blow to the Bogan, but the Jedi weren't able to accomplish that.

As Boli's character said in her escape, the losses weren't worth the minuscule gain.

The only thing that could possibly be construed as a 'loss' for the Jedi would be Link's death and the possibility that the Republic might be losing their 15th fleet, right?

If PC duels had been attempted, the Jedi might have been able to get information that justified those losses. ;[

I'm viewing this more as a tie, personally, between the orbital and ground battles.

This battle could at most be considered a Pyrrhic victory for the Jedi.

Unlikely since...
1) Link would have died regardless
2) The Bogan on Ando Prime no nothing of the location of Conscio

Which is why we are moving away from Ando Prime and expanding to multiple worlds.

Ok, so, am I getting to end this thread with a battle? Or did Zen just ditch me and still die anyways?

Thoroughly disappointed. Hit me up if Zen makes a post saying he's willing to edit his last psot so we can continue a battle.

No, it's too late for that. As much as I would've loved to have had a PC vs. PC duel, it's too late for that. We need to move on.

1) Depends. If everything hadn't been immediately blown up, it's impossible to say who would have died and who would have survived.

2) Maybe, but I didn't say they'd reveal the current location of the Bogan. The Jedi could use any information they could get, including an understanding of how they (edit: as in the bogan) work - are they a cult, an organization, a religious entity, etc.

Fair enough. Guess I'll have to find my PC battle enjoyment elsewhere >_<

If you are willing to sacrifice Alice's brother, I'd be willing to allow him to duel Albedo.

I was waiting as I actually have PC pilots I wanted to allow to do the physical out with a final bomb run, if it was no bother that is.. if so keeping it NPC is fine but figured it would be a nice close out.

The way this played out, the Jedi would have technically won even if they lost, since apparently SOLAG placed and detonated charges all over the inside in the space of a post.

Actually it was spaced out over three if you had paid attention. I gave ample opportunity for Bogan PCs to strike back, but everyone was either unable to or just plain decided to waste more time arguing pointlessly in the OOC. I figured that was as good a go ahead to blow shit up as any. Besides which, it was hardly a victory. We get to tell the citizens of the Republic we wasted countless lives to attack a facility that hadd basically already been abandoned and couldn't even hold the system due to mismanagement and miscommunication. Plus I doubt the Jedi will look kindly upon being abandoned by the navy as they were.
