The Newcomers

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

Maia stood back slightly watching the two looking at their children. When she heard Rayla upset about the light, she swiveled it away from her eyes so she wasn't being blinded. She smiled before saying. "Congratulations you two. I'm so happy for you."

 

[Tristyn]

She was a bit dazed and ignored much of what was being said and what was happening. She accepted the newborn into her arms and curiously looked him. She played with her own lip with her one hand as she wondered why she was given this baby, then it struck her, causing her to jolt up from shock, surprise and joy,"WAIT THIS IS MINE!?"

 

[Algarus]

Adun chuckled and nodded as he kissed her cheek "Yes, it's yours. These are our children Ray." Adun looked away as he felt his eyes starting to water again.

 

[Tristyn]

Ray glanced at Adun and then back the baby before going,"Aww!" She pulled the baby up close to her and hugged him gently. She closed her eyes and began to cry out of pure joy, even if she was still half asleep,"Oh Adun! Come here!" She pulled him over with her free hand and forced him to join the hug,"Adun! He's so cute!"

 

[Algarus]

Adun hugged Ray and looked down at the little girl he held. The tears were flowing freely this time, and thankfully Maia and Ray were the only ones who would see this. "And our daughter is as beautiful as her mom."

 

[Tristyn]

"Aww I love you all so much!", Ray continued to hug her children and Adun until she stopped and noticed Maia standing in the back of the room,"Maia!!?? Is that you!? Come here and give me a hug!!"

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

Maia smiled wathing them and then she looked to the ground for a second before she heard Rayla's voice calling to her for a hug. "Yes, it's me." She said. "Ok!!!" She said with a tiny squeal of excitement. She walked over and gave Rayla a hug. "You're a mother!! And I'm so happy for you!!" She said excitedly.

 

[Tristyn]

She spoke while crying and struggled to form words,"I-I Know I'm-I'm a mom!! Guys I'm mommy!"

 

[Algarus]

Adun laughed and pulled Maia into the group hug. For the first time in almost a year, he felt like he had a family once again; he was going to be father. "I can't believe I'm going to be a father...." Adun didn't have a free hand to wipe his tears away, so he just let them flow.

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

Maia smiled as she hugged both of them. "You're going to be a great family! You already are!!" She said smiling.

 

[Tristyn]

She stayed stiff for a couple of minutes while still hugging everyone just us tightly as before. Her crying slowly went quiet and she happily drifted to sleep again with her children in her arms.

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

Maia looked at Rayla who fell asleep with the babies and looked to Adun and smiled. "We should probably let her rest." She whispered.

 

[Algarus]

Adun smiled down at Rayla as she fell asleep and handed his daughter to Maia. "Here, Maia. Want to hold her?" He chuckled at his now sleeping children. "I wanted to know if...you'd like to be their godmother. I don't think Ray would mind it. What do you think?"

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

Maia gladly took the bundled up little girl and smiled. "Sure. Thanks!" She said in a whisper. She looked up at Adun with a shocked excited look and she smiled a tear now coming to her eye, as she looked down at the little girl in her arms. "I would love to. It would be a complete honor."

 

[Algarus]

Adun laughed lightly and picked up his son from Rayla. He was happy to hear how happy the revelation made Maia. "Good. We're family from now on, so we all have to stick together."

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

The smile stuck on Maia's face as she heard him laugh a little bit. She then looked down again to the baby girl, who was just yawning. "Awww, she's soo cute." Maia said in a lower voice. "And I promise, if anything ever happens to you or Rayla, I will always be there no matter what." She gave a serious look to him, but kept it soft enough to show that she was calm but serious.

 

[Algarus]

He smiled and nodded. "Thanks Maia." He looked down at the sleeping bundle in his arms. He was curious how his children would develop given their heritage and their status as hybrids now. Maybe once all this was over he'd take to Ray about settling down somewhere.

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

She smiled back as she held the sweet little baby in her arms. "Your welcome." The little one yawned again and when she did, it completely stole Maia's heart. Her little face and nose, mouth, hands everything, were just so adorable. "What are their names going to be? Have you picked any yet?" She asked quietly.

 

[Algarus]

Adun looked up at Maia and nodded. "The girl is Tamara, and the boy is Cain. That's what Ray and I decided on."

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

Maia smiled when she heard the names. "Wow, they're beautiful names." She said.
