There he was, in the planet he was born in, again. Only a few months before had Ben Vailak left Coruscant, but it was the will of the Force for him to return here again. "So be it..." He thought and made his way in to the newly restored Coruscant Jedi Temple.

"Well... this is it. My new master is behind these doors." Ben was about to enter the room in which his new master was supposed to be in, but he stopped. "I don't know if I can do this... what if I'll get left behind again?" Such thoughts were spinning in his head, as he was about to enter the room. "No. I mustn't stop here. I must continue. I must move on!" Ben nearly said that out loud and opened the door.

Kalza was meditating behind the door, silently. She was floating some inches above the ground, and her lightsaber was on a table a few meters away. In fact, she felt Ben much before she felt his presence. He seemed nervous. They're always nervous, She mused in her relaxed state. As her padawan entered, she opened her eyes smiled a dazzling smile, slowly descending to the ground. "Good day, my padawan. I am Jedi Knight Kalza Duras. You may call me master. I shall be your new master. I understand your last one left you?"

Ben smiled. "Another female... the Order is full of them. Not that it's a bad thing. I heard the new Grandmaster is a female too... well, whatever." He dozed off for a second there, but returned to real life.

Ben walked up to his master and took a bow. Good day, master. I am Jedi Padawan Ben Vailak. Nice to meet you. He looked up to Kalza. Yes, my previous master left the Jedi Order, for reasons unexplained. I guess she just didn't like it here...

"There are many like that. Dissidents, fall to the dark side. You shall do no such thing," It wasn't a question, it was a command. "I will instruct you further in the ways of the force, the Jedi. Do you have a lightsaber?" She said sharply, looking Ben over.

Erm... no. Ben replied, embarrassed. I haven't really gotten to the point where I have my own lightsaber yet.

Kalza smiled and shrugged, her sharpness dissipating as rapidly as it had appeared, leaving her back to the serene young Twi'lek she usually was. It was obvious that this boy had no intentions of going to the dark side just yet. "Here..." She said, force pulling one from a rack behind her and levitating it over to Ben via telekinesis. "This should do as a substitute for now," She said with a customary smile.

[It's your decision what colour it is! =D]

Ben grabbed the training lightsaber and activated it. The colour was green. Wow... this thing is really cool. I can't wait to begin my training with it. He smiled.

Kalza nodded and smiled back. "Soon enough, you shall create your own. But remember, young padawan, a lightsaber is not what makes a Jedi. It is part of us - not just a weapon," She said wisely, swiftly drawing her own, orange-bladed lightsaber. As she ignited it, she asked, "Have you had any combat training yet?"

Very little, the basics only. Ben said as he was still checking out his training lightsaber.

"Very well. I want you to go down to the archives and read up on the various lightsaber forms. Come back, and we shall decide which one is the best for you," Kalza said, nodding. "Also - be sure to have a quick scan of the Jedi History and Code if you haven't already; but we'll have time for that later," She said, and sat down in a meditation pose.

Ben nodded and put the training lightsaber on his belt. Understood, master. He said and left. I already know the Jedi Code and such, so this should be over quick.

Nevertheless, it took Ben a few hours to read all about the forms of lightsaber combat. After he finished reading, he came back to the training room, and found his master still meditating. I'm back, master. He spoke. I have read about the forms of lightsaber combat, and I have found Form IV: Ataru to be most appealing to me. Can you teach me it?

"Ataru?" Kalza said, surprised as her padawan returned from his studies. "Quiet the impressionable form indeed. Awkward to manoeuvre in tight spaces, however,"

Ben nodded. Every from has its flaws. I believe I will be able to master Ataru. How should we start learning it? He looked at his master.

Kalza paused for a moment, tapping her chin. Suddenly, out of the blue, she threw her suddenly ignited lightsaber at her padawan. It was set to burn, and would stop before it could hit him, but she wanted to test his reaction.

Ben immediately ducked down. What the hell was that all about? He shouted, clearly surprised.

"Interesting... quick reflexes," Remarked Kalza, drawing her lightsaber back to her. "Perhaps you will be a good Ataru student. I suggest you should take up the study of Niman on your time with the order, too," She suggested. "On Ataru... Because it is such an aggressive style, Ataru is not generally optimal for use against multiple opponents, and it is somewhat ineffective against blaster fire, particularly from multiple foes," She explained. "However, it utilises the power to confuse your enemy... and look cool," Kalza said with a tiny little smile, remembering her ambition to use Ataru all those years ago.

Ben stood up. Niman was my second choice. Now that I think about it, maybe it does suit me better... Ben turned around. Ah, it's too confusing! Now I don't know which one to choose...

Kalza gave a tiny tilt of her head. "Look into your heart," She said with a deep stare.

Ben closed his eyes. "Concentrate... which one would you use to fight evil? To protect the innocent? To make justice prevail in this Universe?" He opened his eyes. You know, Master Kalza... He turned around. Perhaps I'd like to study Form VI: Niman instead.

"That makes things all the more simple. Niman is the form I am a master of," Kalza said with a grin. "Would you like me to explain Niman as well?"
