The issue with an NPC leader is that you have less direct control over the faction. Since NPCs can't go into threads without one of the persons PCs is there as well, it also means less characterization, and more risk of death if they do join a thread, since NPCs are considered less skilled than PCs.

But maybe I'm just old fashioned ;P

Nal Hutta is currently a "resource" planet in the new combat system. If a faction completes 3 ASK missions on the planet they gain control of the planet and the benefit of the planet's "resource." If more than 1 faction completes the missions in a 2 week time frame there is a battle for the planet. I am not sure how this would play into your current plans but it seems unlikely the staff would give an independent faction control of a resource planet. Currently, the Jedi and Mandos are completing missions for the planet.

I'd like a fair amount for each. While it would be fun for us to all be rich bastards, I'm sure someone wants to actually be doing the missions.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Would make more sense for the enforcers to outnumber the others, haha, though I suppose NPC's can contribute to that in a large way. But as I said, my old man wouldn't be of much use unless he had at least two rings. :)

All the same, I'm glad that it means I've got something to do with my char and that I won't be archiving him. Can't wait till this gets approved.

And another question — we gonna do any recruitment threads for this?

I'm throwing in my name for the group, though not sure if I'll make another character or simply move Virrion IC due to my busy work load ATM. If the group is approved I'll decide for sure then.

Also as for the base control issue, the factions could simply use a mobile (albeit small) fleet for it's base of ops. Kinda like the Flotilla from Mass Effect. Or perhaps with @Malon approval we could use the Imperial space station as a template for one this faction could use as a base. Just ideas off the top of my head.

After thinking about this the last few days, I feel like we're talking about different things. By this, I thought you meant doing propaganda threads or something. Like sending out invitations to people not already interested. I'm now thinking you're implying something more on the lines of bringing people into the family In Character. While I'm not against that idea I need to finish up Caiden's profile before I start anything. I'm also fine with people saying they've been around this whole time. Just maybe during the time skip the syndicate wasn't too active for fear of Sith retaliation? Maybe? IDK?

ALSO, and this goes for everyone, I will be doing a social thread for all members to participate in once we get approved. My plan is to do a "Welcome Home Gavros!" kind of party theme lol.
