"yeah i got my father's lightsaber"Ryo activated his father's blue lightsaber to show it to his master,also he was so disappointed from what his master said.He knew well that his first training went really horrible and that his skills at using lightsabers is really bad.

 

[Galykia]

I too received my lightsaber from my father. Galykia ignited his green lightsaber. It made him think of his father, making him feel a little sad. He held it back, it would be wrong to show emotion, espeacialy at his padawan.

 

[Count Sam]

Ryo felt a great sadness inside him his master made him remember his parents again,but he was trying his best to keep away his emotions that was something he was able to do,and he knew well that the most important thing is to work hard, and honor his parents by becoming a jedi"well..my parents were jedi who died on the hands of bounty hunters"he said in a sad tone as he glared at his father's lightsaber.

 

[Galykia]

Galykia felt the need to change the subject back to what they were doing. He spread his feet and pointed his light saber at the enemy's throat. He moved the handle of the weapon down, even to the waist, and formed a fist away from the body.

"Do as I do, this is your resting stance."

 

[Count Sam]

"yes master"Ryo said as he focused only on becoming a jedi.Ryo just did like his master,he spread his feet and pointed his lightsaber at his master's throat,and he then started to move the handle down copying all his master's moves as he tried to concentrate and pay attention this time.

 

[Galykia]

"Good. Bend your knees more, it will help you move quicker and be of more comfort." He said as he bent his knees and straightened them over and over, in order to demonstrate what he said.

This stance is balanced, it is good to use upon first encounter of an enemy. It allows to be defensive or offensive, depending on what your foe does. Any questions?

Ryo bent his knees,it was easy for him to do so,but he kind of found it hard to be able to fight in such a stance.Ryo wanted to ask his master how he is going to fight in this stance , but instead he decided to be patience and learn."no questions sir"he said,as he decided to copy everything his master say,and learn step by step.

 

[Galykia]

From this stance, you opponent often takes a defensive stance. Do you know why? He asked. One of the best ways to learn was to be questioned, because when you are wrong, you listen more carefully and retain the info.

It took Ryo some time to think,but finally he answered"because if you know how to use this form well and your opponent attacked his attacks will be encountered easily and he well be left quit open for you to strike"Ryo guessed even though he expected his answer not to be accurate.

 

[Galykia]

No, good guess. Most attacks require them to step forward. This causes them to get speared by your weapon with a quick and simple forward thrust.

If your opponent takes the defensive stance then you must press the attack. Come after me with attacks. Galykia took a defensive stance and waited.

 

[Count Sam]

Ryo listened to his master carefully,as he knew the use of this form. His master then asked him to attack again.Ryo decided to concentrate,and to pay more attention this time as he planned to attack while keeping his stance.Ryo concentrated on his master as he swung his lightsaber before attacking his master again from every side ,but this time he made sure that he is faster,and his strikes are stronger.

 

[Galykia]

Galykia once again blocked the boy's attacks. They were noticibly better, an improvement. He was learning fast.

"Excellent attacks. Just clear your mind, I can sense you are overthinking. Acheive the same harmony you did earlier when we meditated.

 

[Count Sam]

Ryo kept on attacking,while hearing what his master said,as he cleared his mind of everything.He was able to lay down stronger,and faster hits,as he felt the presence of the force much stronger.Ryo was so happy,and glad that he was able to do this,but he did not want to think about any thing now.He wanted to keep his mind clear ,as he kept on attacking his master.

 

[Galykia]

"Not bad for being in a neutral stance. Now watch as I do, I will demonstrate a attack stance."
Galykia moved his rightfoot up and raised his saber over his head at a 45 degree angle to his shoulder and head.

 

[Count Sam]

Ryo watched his master carefully,and copied his moves.He moved his rightfoot up and raised his lightsaber over his head 45 degree to his head and shoulder,as he kept his mind clear concentraing only on his master's moves.

 

[Galykia]

From here, attacks to the rightside and above the shoulder are strongest, quickest, and easiest to get a hit from. This is because your weapon is closest to those areas, as you can see. Don't let it discourage you from attacking on the weak sides. Your opponent might not expect attacks from those sides since it is weaker.

 

[Count Sam]

"I see so if you are fighting an opponent who know about this form well he will expect you to attack from the rightside or above the shoulder,so it will be a surprise to him if you attacked from the left"Ryo said as he listened to his master carefully."But,it will be dangerous and risky at the same time"he added.

 

[Galykia]

"Yes, now attack in that stance, clear your mind, and focus." He resumed his defensive stance and prepared for attacks.

 

[Count Sam]

Ryo cleared his mind,as he striked again with his lightsaber from the rightside aiming at his master's left arm which is on Ryo's right side.He kept on attacking and attacking, from this side for quit a few blows,and then he started to give blows from all directions trying to trick his master.

 

[Galykia]

Blocking and side stepping the attacks, Galykia watched the padawan aggresivly attacking.

Your attacks are significantly better. It is getting quite difficult to avoid with ease. But your attacking a bit to aggresive. When facing an opponent of equal or greater skill, you need to calm yourself. I could easily counter you soon because those attacks are doing little for you and at the same time are making you tired and open. Try again, but focus on one or two attacks at a time, make those few attacks fast, precise and strong.
