Lord I hope this faction isn't approved.
Since it's wanting to ally with the Republic, instead of being made by spite of being fired due to incompetence, I think it has a good chance of being approved.
The Taung joined the Hutts with promise of a good challenge. The Republic aren't that good of an opponent, they're too goody-goody. The Hutts, on the other hand, are ruthless and willing to do whatever it takes to win, not to mention having the advantage by now.
And what do you have to complain? So a few of your Mandalorian wannabes join the enemy and the remaining ones have to fight their traitorous brethren. The Hutts still have the greater power. It's two empires (Hutt and Bogan) vs. a republic of politicians worried more about their own reelection than their constituents (for the majority, not all), not to mention they're hampered by moral values, thus occassionally will prevent them from going all the way needed to crush the opposition.
