"Names can be shared, can be told to others. Though you can feel me through the Force. You cannot share just what it is like and how it feels. You can say my presence is cold, dark, and calm. However those descriptions are vague and can imply to any number of beings."

"Will of the Force. I have heard that saying uttered many times, mostly whenever someone to weak to succeed fails. The Force is a tool, it comes from us, it is there for our use, and ours to command as we see fit. To follow it is to become a drone, empty and lacking sense of self."

*His eyes. Those yellow glowing eyes. They shone like a twin pair of suns out from the darkness that hid his face. Staring into the back of the man's head.*

"Who has informed you the Force is a tool?" Cain asked, a slight tone of mirth entering his voice, "you have been misinformed. The Force is greater than any one person. It gives us freedom of choice, but each of us has a task in life, other than getting there and what we do after, that is down to us. The Force can be used, because it lets us. I don't take orders from it, like some kind of mythical god, but I let it guide me. It guides us for a reason."

"The Force gives us the freedom to do what we please with it. The power comes from within, all one has to do is learn to draw it out and in time learn how to control it. We shape our destinies with it. We guide the Force, it does not guide us."

"I think this is a debate we can never resolve, stranger, but I would assure you the Force is not there to be used. It uses us, surely when you feel its power you realise how it is so much greater than any one of us?" he paused a second, before adding, "but come now stranger, you are not one of these disciples to a petty lord. Yet I feel you are here for a purpose. Why do you observe my students?"

"I came here to see how powerful this cult was and if there was anything to gain from it. However, you and your students seem to be on a mission to destroy it, and so I'm interested to find out just how strong they are. How strong you are. To see which side trumiphs and which fails and dies."

*He could feel the tension, the spiral of Force enegry as those on the street drew it around themselves. Readied for the fight in which survival was not certain. He smiled. Yes this will be interesting indeed.*

(( What are the abilities of these force wizards we're fighting? A basic understanding of the force= padawon, or an experienced understanding= knight? Oh and sorry for not posting I was just trying to give Jedi Man a chance to post.))

Adrion felt the signal sent by Basilak and answered by sending the man back an emotion portraying the need to wait till the correct moment. These next few movements he would make would spell out the length and danger of the battle. In front of him one of the dark robed men broke from his group of three wielding a black sword moving with almost supernatural speed he attacked Adrion.

Calmly controlling his actions he went under the mans attack past his guard slamming the cultist in the gut. The sudden blow sent the robed man sprawling to the ground wheezing and cursing. Immediately shifting positions Adrion sent a weak wave of air to keep the two cultists busy as he shifted his attention to the dangerous robed man behind the group. While doing all these actions he sent a Basilak a signal to strike while the two cultist struggled to dissipate the wave of air sent towards them.

"I have complete faith in my students," Cain said confidently, "but is life and death such a game to you? You seem to care more about watching people fight each other to the death than actually being worried about the fact they're killing each other. I admit I feel the dark side on you, but there is so much more beyond just light and dark, something that indeed my pupils follow."

Derek frowned. He suddenly heard faint sounds of scuffling, and felt flickers of anger in the force. The crowds about him hadn't noticed,as the darkness hid many things.

There was, however, a faint darkness in the force, above him. Shaking his head, Derek looked back towards the man he was following, to see that he had vanished. It would be pointless to hunt for him...

Leaping to the fire escape of the building he was next to, he called to the force and leapfrogged up the building to a second story door. He could feel a terrible, cold darkness somewhere nearby. Creeping along the walkway, he pushed the door open, and stepped inside, coming to a sudden halt with a gasp.

The room was vast, three stories tall... A temple... of evil....

He could feel the darkness, almost as if it were a living, malignant thing, creeping in the shadows. His questing fingers found his lightsaber hilt as he was crept down the stairs to the center of the sanctuary, where he stared at the high, arced columns, and the imposing robed statue in the middle of the far wall.

A faint noise behind him...

Whirling on one foot, Derek saw a blur of movement as a silvery dart whipped towards him. One hand shot up, guided by the force and pushed the dart aside.

Cloaked figures approached from all sides. Six of them, stepping out of the shadows around him. Now Derek knew the force had led him here for a reason. There was something very wrong happening here.
...
...
He just hoped the force hadn't led him here to die...

Basilak jumped onto the man in front of him and easily twirled his neck breaking it in the process. Then he pulled out his red lightsaber and ignited it, allowing his enemies to see him for what he truly was. Then he began a simple twirl to the left which ended up as a fient to distract them while he attacked the men attempting to attack him to the right. Basically he went to the left but turned back quickly enough to cut the man to his right in half. "Come if you want death." Basilak quickly released a strong Force Push around him but it didn't go far.

((Sorry))

Ja pulled his lightsaber to his hand the cyan blade lighting up the night. He whirled striking one of the men in the side as his comrades continued a fight around him. He saw Derek leap to the fire escape and enter a building. Making a snap decision he might later regret he followed Derek into the building to find six more "robes" standing about with swords. Ja shouted,"Hey Derek, how's it going?" Ja pushed out with the Force sending one of the men flying backwards.

Sol had been following in the group in a drunken like stupor for the majority of the day. His night sleep on the previous night was wrought with nightmares and he got only an hour or so of sleep. To him, everything seemed to happen in a flash. One minute a group of dark figures enter their little group, the next lightsabers pierced the darkness. He ignited his without thinking, bringing it up to attack stance in seconds. His eyes lit up with the adrenaline that filled his veins and a grin came across his face. He quickly found a group of the dark figures fighting a couple fellow shade apprentices; he quickly took action and joined the fray.

"I find no amusement in killing. If a person dies, it is because the were not strong enough to survive. That is the natural order of the galaxy. There are the strong, who are meant to rule, and the weak, who meant to follow."

"You measure the strong as being strong enough to survive," said Cain, "yet most people are strong in one field or another. And if they use that strength effectively, be it intelligence in a certain subject, proficiency with certain tools or anything for that matter, then you may have a point. But I would hardly want my rulers to be brutish oafs who have got power as they've managed to kill everyone else. I'd rather someone intelligent. Your way of thinking promotes tyranny, and I think most people can see the ills of that."

Basilak watched as other Shades begun their attack and he was happy. Ofcourse it was because he killed as well. He hid in the shadows attacking those getting near enough and breaking bones for those who thought they could take him down. His blade was a reaper for destruction to those who opposed.

Derek didn't ignite his lightsaber just yet, he was going to be very careful...

Keeping his eyes on the nearest enemies, he reached down to his belt and pulled the pistol out with his left hand. Catch them by surprise. His grey and orange robes would blend in well among the dark room's niches, filled with candles.

"What are you doing this for?" No answer except the deadly hiss of swords being drawn from sheaths.

Fine. No negotiations. His hand shot up and he emptied the clip in the pistol with a blurred salvo of bullets, bringing down two of the assailants before they could move, and killing another as he dived for cover. Always strike fast...

With a deadly snap-hiss, his lightsaber blade burst into life. As he leapt forwards to attack, two more figures appeared behind him, the flickers in the force giving their position away.

He was outnumbered. He needed help.... badly.... Leveling the blade, he reached out to the force for strength, and lept forwards with a roar.
