Veltharion
Veltharion is a headstrong Barabel Shaman of the Bleeding Hollow Clan from Barab 1 who was captured from his homeworld during the Force Eternal era and is now training as a Sith Acolyte.
Biography
The sole surviving member of his clutch, Veltharion was born with a strong connection to the ancestor spirits and, as he aged, became particularly sensitive to the whispers of the Hungry One, a manifestation of wrath and rage that demanded the sacrifice of the Clan's enemies. Hunting the dangerous creatures of the surface by night and warring against rival clans in the tunnels and warrens by day Veltharion quickly ascended the ranks of the Clan Warriors, wielding magicks and blade. Each death was an offering to the Hungry One and with every sacrifice, he drank more deeply from the well of dark power.
Life continued in this simple, if brutal, back and forth of death and battle until a new enemy arrived on Barab 1. A metal bird descended from the stars, carrying tailless lizards that wielded fire-throwers and glowing whips and swords that cut through the crude metal of the clan's armors like it was nothing. Beset on all sides, Veltharion was eventually knocked senseless and in his last moments of consciousness heard the tailless ones speak of a Scorekeeper and a hunt.
Found and brought to Korriban three years ago, Veltharion has sworn his service and loyalty to @Azar Kressh and dedicated himself to the Sith Pureblood's cause. He views the greater conflict in the wider galaxy as something beyond the scope of his understanding; he is a weapon in his new Longfang's arsenal and is content with that role.
Personality & Traits
Veltharion is a Barabel from a particularly brutal and warlike clan - in the warrens and caves, might makes right. He is a deeply spiritual and superstitious creature with a penchant for dark humor that only he seems to understand.
Coming from a clan that clung to tradition Veltharion has been slow to adapt to the "magic" of modernity and still has trouble with even the most basic of technologies.
Powers & Abilities
Veltharion is a skilled warrior and hunter of his people, adorned in the bones and fangs of his many kills. He is a powerful shaman, able to invoke the names of fifty generations of ancestors and call upon their power to aid him with spells and dark rituals - spells to control the minds of beasts, hexes to induce fear, illusions to dominate the mind and ensnare the senses, even call upon the elements themselves with gusts of wind and tongues of flame.
Since being found by the Sith, Veltharion has refined his shamanistic abilities with the Dark Side of the Force, viewing it as a manifestation of the Hungry One.
