  • That's how I see things, of course, and because it was so inopportune, I had arranged it so that Earlich's flight would take a few days, in case the hunters wished to attempt to intercept him. Which is bad, really, because I'd have much preferred a ground battle where I felt I had an advantage. Still, I hope that clears some of the OOC up, and if you have any more questions about the scenario, I'd be happy to answer them.
All of that is good and well, but it leaves one BIG question unanswered:

How did he know he was being hunted in the first place?

Well, that bounty on his head was posted VERY early in the timeline; within the first few weeks of starting, actually. He was doubtlessly aware that the Mandalorians were on his heels, and he played his cards accordingly. That he continues to do so is not out of character.

That being said, I did realize that his departure was very inopportune for the hunters, but if I recall correctly (I could be wrong about this) I had been arranging to go to the Galactic Alliance before he was going to be handed over. It's been on the drawing board for a while, and the fact that the two events were set into motion roughly around the same time is coincidental, not a calculated response.
    Okay, here's the second reason.

Mar was less concerned with being safe and more concerned with being inconspicuous. In war, or even in prison, Mar would be safer than if he was an actual civilian. A Duro stands out in the Chiss Ascendancy like a sore thumb, so the longer he stayed there, the more vulnerable he became.

Now it probably comes across as a flight for his life in the actual thread. However, closer observation will reveal that he is using that as his excuse to speak to the Jedi Council, playing on Validus' sympathy to get a hearing. Once he is in the Council Chambers, Mar reveals that he is comfortable remaining where he is, and that he is more or less offering his services to the desperate faction.
I do have several very good reasons for his departure that have absolutely nothing to do with his being hunted.

Firstly, the goal was not to seek Jedi Sanctuary. The goal was to find a new employer. The Chiss had NEVER employed him in the entire time I positioned him there. You have to understand, Earlich arrived in the Ascendancy when Mars was still in charge, within the first month of the timeline, and he wasn't hired since that time. He felt like his talents weren't being used, which was completely true.

Aaand the post is way too long, so I'll send you a few of these. Sorry about that.
Lupe wrote up the three current Chiss space missions since I have been busy, just to let you know and give him the due credit.
Where would you like this thread to be set in? If it's in Chiss territory A'den will be fully armed (Fetts have trust issues). I suggest neutral grounds
Thanks, mate. I've reapplied. Also, I've read your character Geist Weiss (absolutely awesome) and was wondering if you'd like to join an rp with Asuka and him for her first rp if she gets approved since they're both alchemists? It'll be sort of a 'reawakening/amnesia' thread where she's no memories of her past or what she's doing in the first place and starts anew. Would you like to?
Where do I go to reapply Asuka as a master, by chance? I'd like to hurry and apply her so I can begin rping her.
Care to do an rp between A'den and your chiss? I want to build Fett and Chiss relations
I'm sorry, no. Relatives just arrived so now kinda starts me not being on. I'll hop on tonight to post, so if you could PM me I would be highly grateful.

    Sorry mate, I suck.
    Dang.
You know anyone in Mexico that can find it and send it over? Or you think you'll need to rewrite your ideas?(which I've done and hate, I understand).
