  • 4+ myself and you're better then me :( First person I've said that in a while, and please don't think I'm a conceited person or anything when I say that >.> And it is fun, I'm fairly new as well. Great community and setting and whatnot. Good thing running here - and a cool niche for Mando chars. :) Looking forward to great storytelling with a skilled writer! ^.^
I just want to let you know you're a GREAT RPer. There will always be a place in one of my threads for one of your characters. You keep me on my feet :)
    Aha congrats :)

And let's wrap this up and start a new one. In the new thread, we'll get really started. This was more of allowing her to see his bad side and whatnot, so it would be nice if Zara could form a better impression in the morning - he'll be way different then. We'll get their relationship moving in the right direction :)

Let's say one final post from you and myself and we'll close it down. Then I'll post the new thread.
Oh okay sorry for misunderstanding. I hope you don't take it the wrong way at all. Complete a bio when you get a chance to help straighten misguided folks like myself out :P
Are you confusing verd'goten with the Protector "blooding" thing? Those are separate. Because the "blooding" is becoming a full member of the Protectors. Verd'goten is the rite of passage trials when a Mandalorian becomes an adult. Usually done at age 13 after 5 years of training.
I don't get your character really, was she born a Mando? I'm pretty sure she'd have to pass verd'goten to be in the Protectors...that's a really basic rite of passage. You're not an adult until you pass that...
It goes farther than simply getting in. Right now the work climate is intensely hostile and, not to put too fine a point on it, shitty. It's the same thing that happens whenever a Democrat gets elected at the perceived end of a war - the military is getting cored out and the troops get the shit end of the stick.

Then the military is the best way to get it. I assume you're able to pass the checks required to get a Top-Secret security clearance, correct?
Don't join the Army at nineteen, you're too young, too immature, and I've had it up to my eyeballs with little kids who join and expect their sergeants to be their parents (all of them have, and I promise you won't be as much an exception as you think - I work with MI). Join the Army at twenty-one or (better) twenty-two after suckering the Army into paying for your college education and get a commission as an officer. That way you're guaranteed to have at least gotten something out of the military.
Yeah, I'm in the Army. You pretty much picked the worst time to enlist - the military's down-sizing and is a favorite target of the current government for spending cuts.

How old are you, and what are you looking to do in the military?
