Hey changed Home Within Range's reward to 200,000 credits. Well be rolling out on that a little bit after the skip
I was just explaining. I don't have any problem with you not being attracted to the Mandos. It's not for everybody. I just wanted you to have all the info.
The sigil system might be cool to bring over, with permission of course, but focusing on ranks doesn't fit with me. :P
Well, the rebels aren't going to be an organized military for a long time, methinks. After all, the rank structure in the old rebellion was pretty loosey goosey. I mean, Han jumped to a General a day after signing up officially. And I mean, even in an organized military, you're looking at favoritism, family connections, etc., etc. In the Mandalorians, the strongest leads, and that strength, wisdom, tactical acumen, and skill are what pushes warriors to be the best, because only by being the best can they gain more responsibility. There are warriors who are nothing but plain old verd in the middle of their lives, because they're happy with their station, ensuring only the best advance to lead the clan, strengthening the warrior and the Clan as a whole.
For me the progress comes in expanding your clan, building relationships, and conquering lesser cultures. A title doesn't really represent progress to me though.
I'm just going to throw my two cents in here. As you gain rank, at least in my clan, you gain more resources, more people, better armor, gear, possibly command of one of the ships, along with the respect that goes along with it. And as the clan grows, all of that power and respect transfer into bigger contracts, more personal access to the Clan's coffers, and even a chance to make a true difference in the galaxy.
I understand what you're saying, but to me the Mandalorians aren't a military organization. They are a family of warriors. Ranks don't belong, especially considering that in the past they didn't work for the faction.
Personally I really don't like the "special forces" direction that Clan Renelo seems to be going. Clan Tracyn has too many ranks for Mandalorians I think, and Clan Skirata is just there. For me there's no clan that really "speaks to me," besides the one that I'm trying to kickstart.
Not interested in making a Mando or joining them!? Why that's the silliest thing I've heard! (I was going to post this in the "Ask Us Anything" thread but decided it was too off topic.
