"I don't work for anyone. I work for myself."
Her voice came out scratchy and metallic, devoid of the amusement that had snuck up on her.
"I'm not threatening you. I'm warning you. I don't want to rescue some maniac."
She paused.
"Some dangerous maniac."
Her faceplate turned to look at both...
This happens to me every once in a while. I've always found doing other shit for a while helps. Books, boozing, tracking a man into deepest cambodia to assassinate him. Just, anything that isn't a videogame. Eventually, the urge just comes back by itself.
Never used them, except for sir at school, where it was mandatory. I tend to be pretty informal with people, so it feels alien to use words like that. I don't see how they could be considered bad, but if someone used them to/at/on me, I would be more amused than anything else.
Eden scoffed, the noise leaving her suits vocaliser as little more than a burst of angry static. She had made sure that the vocaliser unit removed all traces of gender and identity from her voice, with the side effect of making her seem a lot more intimidating; exactly as she had intended.
She...
Well, the fact that Valve's games tend to have genuinely innovative mechanics (see portal) or fantastic characterisation and pacing and atmosphere (such as half life) as opposed to Gears, which was always just running to the next piece of cover, shooting, rinse and repeat. At least games like...
Eden smashed her way through another bulkhead, sealed to keep the virus in. And, no doubt, the outside world firmly out. She grinned as she tore her way through. Whoever had designed this place probably hadn't paid enough attention to the outside, focussing instead on the risk of the virus.
She...
Augustus nodded slowly at Beric. This was a turning point in their relationship; the balance of power had been firmly torn down, and another portion of the friendship and trust between them torn asunder. One day, if Augustus survived long enough, he would have to attempt to make amends. Yet...
With a noise that wouldn't have been out of place in the apocalypse, Eden's drop pod hammered into the earth surrounding the facility. She had considered making it impact the facility proper, ploughing a path into the complex, but had reconsidered. She didn't know enough about the buildings, or...
Silent Requiem dropped out of hyperspace, it's sleek black outline almost impossible to see against the stars. After a quick scan of the system, the computers ensured that all cloaking protocols were engaged. She had spent a long time sneaking around, hiding from authorities and so her ship was...
I'm not bothered by post order, I am, in truth, startlingly easy going. Only time I care about posting in order is if its an important moment, like, fighty, talky etc!
Eden was aboard her ship Silent Requiem, travelling from one hell hole to the next. This was how she spent most of her time; passively searching for trouble to get into. Her powerful on-board computers taking care of almost everything, piloting, communication, and most importantly, looking for...
This sounds really interesting. I think Eden would work quite well for the setting; a weaponised virus being the kind of thing that she would want to see gotten rid of, and a viral biologist the kind of person that would be very useful to have on side. There's a link to her profile in my sig. If...
I watched a video where a guy preyed on two guys (video was from their pov) working together whilst singing the jaws theme. It was HILARIOUS. The game looks pretty good!
