This Olympics has been the first where Canada won gold medals on home ice, and now we have BOTH of the gold medals for hockey - which is pretty much our national pastime (I think the official national sport is lacrosse or something, but **** that, hockey is most popular).

Also, we broke a record for gold medals. So yeah, somewhat historical. It's also a part of the rise of Crosby as a major Canadian star hockey player - he's now gotten a Stanley Cup and Olympic Gold, and he's still very young.

We won both hockey tournaments, took home the most gold of any hosting country, or any country period, in the Winter Olympics, and is pretty much the only thing Crosby hasn't gotten until this point.
