Wrong. The Bill of Rights was drafted and ratified in the early 1790's, immediately after the rewriting of the Constitution in the late 1780's. The Revolutionary War ended in 1781 if I remember correctly. No! My point is, that laws involving gun control only affect law abiding citizens. And I honesly believe that gun control is stupid. If you want proof of it look at the second amendment of the constitution: "The Right to Bare Arms" was made durring the Revolutionary War. Tking gus away is a violation of the Bill of Rights that the US constitution endorses.
"The Right to Bare Arms"
As to why banning ownership of firearms amongst private citizens is not a good idea, I'll just leave this here:

As to giving a small child, a toddler he could be called even, a gun, is just a lack of responsibility and the parents saw what came of their lack of responsibility.
I completely agree. If Obama ever tries to take away my short sleeve shirts, it's war!

BURKESVILLE, Ky. — Authorities in southern Kentucky say a 2-year-old girl has been accidentally shot and killed by her 5-year-old brother, who was playing with a .22-caliber rifle he received as a gift.
I think it is stupid regardless of the state.
People should know better.
First rule of guns is that they are always loaded.
Checked the chamber and clip etc? No it isn't safe. You always treat it as loaded.
But you pulled the trigger and it clicked and did nothing because it isn't loaded? Did it 50 times?
No, in your mind that gun is still loaded.
I always treat you like your loaded :P
'hot hot hot as a tater tot'Oh Snap?
Frankly, you can say the same thing about any dangerous weapon. Doesn't make the weapon any less dangerous.Again, giving the kid the rifle isn't really the problem here. I had a rifle as a kid as did many many people I know and we never shot anyone. The problem here is improper instruction and leaving the kid and rifle unattended. If the parents had taken the proper steps to explain to their child just how dangerous the rifle actually was and secured it whenever they weren't with their child practicing in a controlled environment then this wouldn't have happened.
