A More Elegant Touch

Deloi was not moved by Kressh's words. He would not be swayed from meeting with Master Ike. The fact that she utilized it was only part of the problem. Learning the technique was the problem. Deloi had to speak with Matsu Ike about teaching Kressh the ability. Ike teaching the technique to Kressh would only make it harder for Kressh to become a Jedi Knight. These dark teachings were certainly the reasons she was passed over.

"This is not just about your utilization of Force lightning, Kressh. This is about where you learned it. If you were trying to prove you would be a good Jedi, using darkside force powers is highly counter productive for someone like yourself. Now take me to Master Ike."

 

[Fusion]

As you say, Master Deloi.

Lamia walked down a couple oh hallways until she spotted Matsu, at which point she and Deloi walked over to her. Lamia simply stood and said nothing as the two began to converse.

Matsu looked up from her datapads when she felt Lamia. She raised an eyebrow and stayed where she was splayed out with her robes around her on the floor. She had been waiting and passing the time with research into older histories at Lamia's insistence and found what her Padawan had asked her to find. "Lamia? Are you done already? How much time has passed?" She turned to look at Deloi and spoke staying where she was and offering a smile. "Have you brought my padawan back from her lessons thank you."

 

[Deloi]

Deloi sighed a bit as he wished that the reason he was here was to return Matsu Ike's Padawan. Deloi kept his serious expression as he prepared himself to say the words he felt he must. Speaking on this topic would have been difficult were it not for Deloi's sureness.

"Actually that is not the reason I am here, Lady Snowblood. I would like simply to speak to you on a matter regarding your tutoring of your Padawan, Lamia Kressh."

 

[Syn]

Matsu looked up as she raised an eyebrow again. "What about it?" Matsu remained there on the floor and she looked at Lamia as she spoke. "Is there something I should know Lamia?"

 

[Fusion]

I see nothing wrong with what happened. I already explained the changes in the color of my lightning depending on my emotions I'm feeling to him, but he thinks I am using a darkside technique...

 

[Deloi]

Deloi lowered his head in disappointment at Kressh's choice of words. The problem was not all about the use of Force lightning, but rather the effect it was having. To give more clearness on the situation, Deloi explained the situation a bit better. He was speaking to help in so that Kressh could finally be proven ready for Force Lightning.

"That is only part of the reason. Lady Snowblood, did you truly teach Kressh here Kinetite and Force lightning? She utilized them both and those techniques can truly kill someone. Forget about myself, if she was facing most any other Padawan and used Kinetite in a spar with them like she did in ours, it would have killed them. These techniques may also be a little counter productive in proving she is truly redeemed. I fear these darkside abilities may be the reason she was passed over for Jedi Knight as I have been told."

 

[Syn]

Matsu looked at Deloi and spoke as she motioned for Lamia to come closer. "I taught her kinetite yes because it is a useful skill if you want to practice. Her self control keeps her from using it against a weaker opponent, unless your admitting her your superior I do not see a problem with it." Matsu wasn't going to get into the issues of Lamia being passed over for knight it had nothing to do with her choice of powers instead was all about her species. "Lamia tell knight deloi your sorry."

 

[Deloi]

Deloi raised his open hand up towards Kressh in an attempt to stop her before she apologizes. Deloi believed that Kressh's situation and bias towards her could be helped with a different teaching. More lightside techniques would truly help Kressh out, but it was up to Matsu Ike to decide if they should be taught. Deloi himself knew very powerful lightside techniques and was a master of the defensive arts so he was willing to help.

"An apology will not be necessary. However Kinetite and Force Lightning is almost the last techniques she needs to be taught if she wants to look better towards the ones that will promote her. I think if she is taught powerful lightside techniques, the council will look upon her promotion with less scrutiny."

 

[Syn]

Matsu raised an eyebrow again. "Who knows force lightning? She knows Electric Judgement. She knows more then enough lightside techniques." Matsu moved as she stood up and gathered into a pile in her robes the datapads and holocrons. "The council is not my concern, I do not sit on it and I do not have much connection to it. Her knighthood should no be a question. She has proven herself a jedi in teachings and in actions. Where others fall because they can't handle it she remains strong and fights for the light." Matsu moved and she looked at Lamia while she started to organize the datapads into stacks and held them in her hands. The holocron went to her pockets. "Let's go Lamia we have things to do on the Harlequin."

 

[Fusion]

Lamia followed her master as she began to walk away, but not before sending a brief telepathic message to Deloi.

[Deloi]

Deloi thought to himself in a very quick note as he did not remember doing anything to Matsu Ike. However, a discussion on how she was instructed Kressh would be needed. Deloi could only sigh as he watched them walk away before walking back to his created training course. He had almost completed the training course and would finish it by the day's end. However, after completing the course, Deloi would have to make a quick letter to the Jedi Council...
