Character:Solara
Planet:Bespin
Settlement:Cloud City

-------------------------

Solara was happy today, she got to deliver the payment to the administrator for the apartment! It gave her the oppurutunity to actually walk around the floating structure-if only for a little while. Dad said their wasn't supposed to be to much traffic about today, she was glad for that... to many people hurt her mind.

2,400 credit payment, that's what she carried at her side. Solara thought it was a pretty big responsbilty her father intrusting her with his money-so she didn't need to mess this up. Despite her fathers words she found herself constantly looking about-searching for large groups... for a while she didnt see anything, just her and a passing citizen every now and then-a flicker of emotion every little bit.

Her dad however, ended up being wrong about half way to the office. An influx of people came in. Likely location was from the landing area.

THAT wasn't the problem though! The issue was the mass of emotion that came with these people. Solara tried to focus, to distract herself from the thoughts. It was hard however with so many at once. It was to the point she could barely focus on where she was going anymore.

And then BOOM she ran into someone face first. Her focus broken, and not bothering to take notice of the persons apperance she got up on one foot grasping her head.

"S...sorry... I was distracted"

Khelsea wasn't happy at the moment, she had not succeeded on her quest to restore the stolen goods to its rightful owner. She had the chance to explore Cloud City briefly, which was enjoyable. Her friend Kai said that he'd join her later after he received the information the pair of Jedi had traveled to Bespin for, and hopefully he'd be more successful than she had been on her task.

The two Jedi had arrived on Bespin mere hours ago in order to secure a shipment of tibanna gas for the Jedi Order courtesy of the Rebellion. However, things went awry quickly and not only did they have a tagalong alien girl thanks to Kai, but the trio had witnessed a daylight robbery which resulted in Khelsea flying solo over to Cloud City in an attempt to help recover the stolen briefcase. They had caught the thief but it turns out he had already delivered the briefcase to another gang member, and interrogation revealed that he was part of a crime syndicate based on Cloud City. Long story short, Khelsea tried to intercept the accomplice before he was able to disappear for good, but she had been unsuccessful and was now walking back towards the hangar and was about to arrange a rendezvous with Kai. She hoped he had been more successful with his task, since the gas shipment was important for the Jedi Order.

Walking at a brisk pace, Khelsea kept her eyes on her surroundings just to ensure she wasn't being followed for various reasons. Just when she was turning her head to look forward again, Khelsea walked into something and felt the impact right away. Looking in front of her, Khelsea saw a girl that looked more or less human. Her pink hair was a distinguishing feature, and she was very thin. The girl had taken the worse of the impact, and since Khelsea was still standing, she helped the stranger get back on her feet. Khelsea was worried as she noticed the younger girl grasping her head. "No, it's not your fault. I'm sorry too... Is your head okay?" The young Jedi watched the younger girl's facial expression, and noticed as the stranger grimaced in pain. Khelsea was worried, but also upset at herself for not paying enough attention. She didn't usually manage to do something as stupid as walk into another person, and she was just blaming Kai earlier for doing the same thing.

She ran into another girl. Her head ached with the mass of emotions. Anger happiness sadness all the feelings rocked her, it was to much at once.

focus focus

But their were to many now... she didn't have time to concentrate.

Her voice-the other girls voice, concentrate on its melody-its tone, what she says. The action helped ease some of the pain and stress the build up caused. She was sorry....? Why? She helped her back to her feet, and Solara managed a small smile in response.

"It's fine.... just... theirs to many people, their emotion hurts... are.. are you ok?"

Despite her own hurt she was more worried she might have hurt the human girl upon their collision. One eye remained shut as she spoke to her, their conversation serving as the distraction she needed.

The girl had an allure of beauty about her as well, it wasn't that Solara felt attraction as much as it was her form was simply interesting to see, it was easier than most for Solara to distract herself at least, she was glad of that.

"Crowds are the worst...."

Even as she helped the pink-haired girl up, Khelsea noticed that the girl seemed to be dazed. What she was saying didn't make much sense at all. However, Khelsea tried to listen anyways, and as the younger girl spoke again, Khelsea was led to wonder if there was something else she wasn't understanding. "Could it be she's feeling all the emotions around her?"

Deciding to check on her theory to see if she was correct, Khelsea focused on the Force and flooded the girl with feelings of warmth and friendliness. She wasn't sure how the girl would respond, but it seemed as if she might be reading the emotions of those passing by her? Maybe? Or perhaps she had hit her head and was delusional. Either way, Khelsea felt responsible for helping the younger girl. Kai managed to entertain the girl he had run into earlier, and had potentially found a candidate to join the Jedi Order. If her theory was correct and the pink-haired girl was Force sensitive, then it was clear the Force had brought them together and Khelsea would try her best to help the girl in any way she could, including bringing her into the Jedi Order. "What do you mean their emotions hurt? You can feel other people's emotions?"

Khelsea looked at the younger girl and squeezed her shoulders while expressing her feelings through the Force, waiting for a response.

Solara flinched at the sudden increased rush, however her face took on slightly more serene look when the emotions had a chance to flow it was almost... calming. Hard to describe, like the rest it but a burdon on her of course but, the intention of the emotion seemed soothing, it was confusing to the teen.

The older woman was... asking her questions? So she couldn't feel it ether? Of course, no one did. The woman's emotions weren't like others though, was that intentional? Today was supposed to be simple. Why was she going through this to begin with? Dad.... he had been way wrong with the schedule.

"Yes... everyone... its overwhelming, their wearn't supposed to be so many out right now"

Focusing on the girl and her emotion was helping, focusing on one subject lessened the rush, helped her ignore it. Its all she could really to right now.

Khelsea noticed that the girl seemed uncomfortable. It seemed that she was feeling the emotions around her, perhaps she was sensitive to their Force presences and emotions? She wasn't sure but this was certainly an interesting situation.

Wanting to find out more and make sure the girl was okay, Khelsea spoke to her again. "So if we go somewhere with less people, it'll ... hurt less? I'm not entirely sure I understand. Can you explain if we go somewhere else?" Khelsea would lead or let the girl lead them to somewhere quieter, where she could find out the truth about the girl.

"Yes... theirs less on my head with less people around miss.. ."

In truth if Solara was of calm enough mind she would have been the one to guide the radiant one to her parents house, the most secluded area she knew of. However ad it stood it was all she could to to focus on the girl and putting one foot in front of the other. She wanted an explanation... that was fair enough, mama and dad didn't usually give her permission to do so but.... this was a special case right? This girl was helping her after all.

"Yes... I'll tell you about it."

It was no problem of course, the girl was trying to help her after all-she had to repay her somehow. So, when he was finally led to a quieter section and allowed to gain her bearings she eyed the girl she could compare to a gem, in fact chances were she'd probably spend a fair amount of time looking into gems sum lay to find one fr comparison. The thought made her chuckle briefly, before she turned her attention back to her rescuer.

"So... where do I start?"

Still not entire sure what the girl meant but curious about the situation, Khelsea went with the younger girl. She was an interesting individual, and possibly with the ability to feel the emotions of those around her. It wasn't like Khelsea to be distracted by something like this, but it just seemed like the right thing to do. She could feel that the girl harbored no ill will towards her, and at the very least if she could help she would.

Khelsea noticed that the girl was looking at her quizzically, so she led the way towards a quieter area, where they finally stopped. In an well lit and spacious but abandoned looking alleyway, Khelsea turned to face the pink-haired girl.

"Hmm, start from the beginning!"
Khelsea's smile and voice was encouraging. She wanted to hear the truth, and having a positive attitude would probably get her there faster. "I guess just tell me what you feel, how you feel it, and anything else significant?"

It felt better in the alleyway, farther from the barrage of emotion back where they were. It eased the pressure, allowed her to focus on her rescuer. She gave a smile in response to the girls own. Positive feelings in small doses-that was nice.

"Well.... its hard to describe really, I've always felt it-like this intanagble bond or force connecting me to someone elses emotion. I've always been able to feel the emotions of those around. As for what I feel..."

Solara paused for a meant, thinking it over. What didn't she feel? Happiness anger sadness. Hope despair grief. All of it, even I'f some were worse than others. It was why she liked secluded areas. This alleyway served that purpose nicely.

"I.. feel the emotion, all of them... as i said its not easy to explain...."

The girl looked to be receptive of her feelings through the Force, which was a positive sign. As far as Khelsea could tell, the pink hair girl didn't have any training or understanding of the Force. Maybe she could briefly explain what Khelsea thought the pink-haired girl was going through. But first, introductions were in order.

"Sorry, I didn't introduce myself and all I've done is ask you questions. I'm Khelsea, what's your name?"

After getting the girl's name, Khelsea began talking to her about the Force. "Well, it seems like you have some sort of power that not many others are able to use. Have you heard about the Force? Or the Jedi?"

"Solara Umbra"

She replied in kind, why was she sorry? It wasn't like Sol was any more formal right? Still she appreciated the gesture, Khelsea sounded nice regardless. It was always interesting the variety of names people were given, or at times just gave themselves. Just a simple combination of letters could have such a charm to it.

The Jedi? Sol didn't know much, mom mentioned them every once in a while in passing but never actually what they did or anything... were they important? Did they know about her power or something? Sol wasn't quite sure herself.

"No.... I've heard the name, mom mentions them on occasion but aside from that... nothing, why?"
