It was a quiet, cloudy, and otherwise unremarkable day on Chandrila. An agricultural quarter situated on the defilade of a lush hill just an hour or so hop from Hanna City buzzed with life as two rejoiced the birth of one. A soldier turned farmer and a young local woman brought a bright eyed boy screaming in to the galaxy. Named Aden, after his grandfather, the couple was awarded their first and only child.

For six years Aden grew up on the plantation. It was a seemingly average life; he played with the other children, he watched his father work, and looked to his mother for comfort. Then it happened. The locals began to take notice of the boy's strange and distant behavior. The dreams he spoke of, the wandering off in mid-conversation, eyes fixed on the horizon. The children who had come to play began to dwindle and in time, young Aden was left alone.

His parents too noticed; however, brushed it off as a child with an active mind. They would often find him in their doorway in the early hours of the morning, bringing grand stories of a desire to wander. It was becoming too apparent to ignore. Something was different about the child.

On a warm afternoon, in his seventh year, Aden took a boat to the middle of the large lake which bordered their homestead. His father had returned from chores and spotted the lone vessel floating far from shore. Frantically, he gathered his own and sped out to retrieve his son. "Aden!" The shouts came in quick succession. Yet Aden remained fixed on the horizon, confusion painted across his face. What was it that kept pulling at him? Who was speaking to him in the dreams? Why did he take the boat? Aden felt the small boat rock as his father grabbed hold of it, sweat glistening across his forehead. "What has gotten in to you?! What are you doing out here, Aden?! You could have fallen in!"

Aden turned to meet his father's worried gaze. He felt his father's emotion before he saw the expression, it was so powerful it nearly caused the boy to weep. Fear, anxiety, aggravation. It welled inside of him, a lone tear gathered at the corner of his eye and trickled down his cheek, leaving a stain on his skin. "I don't know father." He said quietly, looking down at his worn boots. "Are you upset with me?" The aging Bishop held his son tightly. "No, Aden. I'm just glad you're okay." What had taken hold of his son?

It didn't take long for the incident to spread. Seven years of strange events surrounding the child had brought the inevitable. On his eight year a man appeared at the home, dressed in plain colored robes. It was a human man, long hair tied neatly in a braid, beard full and trimmed. Master Kel Kinyo, a Jedi. Aden had never heard the term before, except from the children he use to play with and when eavesdropping on his parents.

Master Kinyo spoke to his parents while Aden sat in his room. He heard muffled whimpers, sharp tones, and eventually, surrender. Aden could still remember the day his father had come to his room, firm hands on his shoulders, eyes welled with tears. It was a memory he had suffered for quite some time, the raw emotion he had absorbed was powerful and was suppressed only in the following years of control and tolerance training with Master Kinyo.

It was then he left, taken to a discreet temple locked away in Republic space. The Republican Armies had stood down, the Exiles withdrawn from Republic space. Master Kinyo had trained Aden for roughly four years, putting extra effort in to reinforcing the Code and cementing Aden's resolve. He was an extremely empathic child, Kinyo saw this as a possible weakness to the Dark side. By thirteen Aden had found balance and Kinyo permitted him to move forward in his training.

By fourteen he had become proficient with channeling the Force in to his physical will. Telekinesis such as lifting objects and moving objects through focus and concentration had become a particular talent of his. Aden's empathy led him to become efficient in his sense through the Force; however, the young Jedi was careful to use the ability to its potential, due to his early shortcomings.

With the conflict narrowed to Exiles versus Jedi, the Republic having removed itself, Master Kinyo left Aden in the care of a young Jedi Knight Viseri and left for the front. Viseri, a talented duelist, is who most influenced Aden's development as a Jedi warrior. For five years he trained relentlessly on the various forms of lightsaber combat, most particularly showing proficiency in Makashi and Djem So. Aden had also become adept at mixing Ataru in to his fluid transitions.

While not sparring or performing physical conditioning, Bishop would study the archives available and performed a number of extracurricular practices. The most notable is his desire to become proficient in piloting craft. Aden began studying the role while with Master Kinyo, which typically involved reading Republic manuals or flight school textbooks. When he transitioned to Knight Viseri, they were able to stick Aden in the cockpit of an outdated starfighter. It is here he broadened his horizons of utilizing the Force in to roles which some would consider outside that of being a Jedi.

The time had come. Dwindling numbers and the raging battles against the Exiles led Bishop to knighthood. He sealed his ceremony by constructing his own lightsaber, the first excluding training sabers. Aden sought his kyber crystal alone on Jedha. Constructed with black coated durasteel, the young Jedi fabricated a crossguard hilt, imbued with kyber crystal. Why he had chosen the design, he did not know, he simply went with what was, he felt, right. The saber ignited and a deep, dark beam of green energy emitted through the three spouts. It hummed with strength and with hope.

His destiny became clear when battle torn Jedi returned with stories of the Tragedy at Ilum and the true threat of the Dark side. While some retreated others disappeared, Bishop knew he would find purpose in neither. There were those who said they were going in to the darkness to find the Exiled and bring them to justice. They spoke of cleansing the Dark and upholding the Light. They were Crusaders, and they were Bishop's path. He left for the Unknown Regions in a large group of like-minded Jedi. They never looked back and many, would never return.

PERSONALITY

As a child Aden was curious, often bombarding his parents with questions as to why or how something was the way it was. Dismissed as nothing more than natural young inquisitiveness, as the years passed his questions faded and his silent pondering mimicked that of an elderly scholar. His thoughtfulness of the galaxy around him caused a gap between himself and his fellow children eventually leading to his isolation.

This isolation left him with a subconscious desire for companionship. Bishop grew a close bond with Master Kinyo during his early years in training and again with Knight Viseri. Known as a generally friendly individual among his fellow Jedi hopefuls, it appeared that Aden was on the path to becoming a well-versed emissary of the Jedi. Master Kinyo attributed Bishop's ability to forge friendships with his natural empathy through his connection to the Force. A gift and a vulnerability.

This changed as stories of the Dark side's horrors came to their ears. He held the Jedi Order as the bastion of peace and balance in the galaxy. How could someone who was once Jedi cause such terror and destruction? Many nights the young Aden lay awake trying to make sense of such a thing. There were moments when he believed he could feel those lost; their sadness, desperation, and dread. These were likely his own feelings manifesting within the Force.

Aden felt vulnerable. He was unbalanced and conflicted. He knew that such a state would lead him down a path to become that which they trained to face on the field of battle. Through rigorous meditation and reflection, Bishop began to seal off his attachment to personal relationships. While he maintained them, he adopted the philosophy that such attachments were not necessary and would only bring temptation.

In time balance came, but with a sacrifice. Bishop had magnificent potential in his sense in the Force, yet he was unable to withstand the onslaught of emotion which he commonly absorbed and thus he focused his Force teachings on using the Force to extend his physical touch and capabilities. When he came under Viseri's mentorship, Aden found release in the lightsaber art form.

After years of strict regiments and preparation, Bishop's mentality had shifted from kind and inviting to steadfast and calm. Conversations with his peers were typically constructive, enlightening, or not held at all. The idle chatter of friendship had escaped him. After his knighthood, Bishop drifted away from those who failed to adopt the proactive mind set of the Crusaders and fell in line with those who sought to defend the Light at all costs.

While Aden considers himself a part of the Crusader sect, he does grow weary of their tactics and believe it pushes them closer to the Exiles than the Jedi. Aden prefers direct and matter-of-fact speaking, though will occasionally insert sarcasm to address his point. His desire to preserve the Jedi Order and maintain balance in the galaxy maintains the highest priority.

Please remove the armor from the profile until it is approved and either have no armor for the time being or link an approved armor set.

The armor still needs to either be linked to an approved set in the tech boards or removed completely.
