So I simply assume that they left simply because RL might have them too busy to log on? Until they declare that they are no longer in the faction, they will remain on the roster. Archived characters will be removed

D'Accord can do that, too. I see at least four members that are inactive (last login in March and February, for example)

Mhm. We recently cleared out all archived characters, and are leaving the inactive ones around to see if they will come back, although we can mark them as inactive if it would improve things.

I have no problem with you leaving them in the roster, cuz we all hope that inactive users would come back some day.

Which is why I said the writeup might want to reflect those, not necessarily remove them.

Keep in mind that, excluding the inactives, the membership cannot go below the number of 5 or the faction will be archived. So yeah, so you yourself know what's ahead, noting and being honest about the activity of your members is a good thing. Personally, I'd remove a member that's been inactive for a month or more, especially without a notice of said inactivity as that usually means they lost interest and even if they come back they won't (most likely) be interested in (rejoining) your faction.

On that note, I just went and marked two inactive members with (I) to denote that they are currently inactive.

as this argument continues, I'd like to add that we just had two more people apply for membership. With that in mind, we should still be in a secure number of members

Mhm. Altough the important thing isn't having enough members; more being a viable and active faction in itself. Because of you don't have the activity to keep your members active, you'll soon fall below that threshold.

Hi, I think you're cluttering this with doom, gloom, and condescension. You should probably just chill out some and let the faction be. I don't see anyone from ADI posting in the Accord and condescending on your leadership.

:)

You're not far from it, though.

I'm not condescending, although you are free to think of it that way. I was just trying to give a wider perspective on current issues.

Ok, so, as a faction leader and from a faction leaders perspective, here are all of my thoughts and feedback on ADI and what I think should be done going forward.

Firstly, id like to give cudos to @Commissar Brett . He got put into the spot of FL with very little prior warning and lost a good few members, and the fact that he is actually trying to improve things is commendable.

Now, my thoughts on ADI as a group. I think it somewhat handicapped itself from the start with the heavy comparisons to the Border Alliance, which somewhat constrained itself membership wise and in his it's perceived OOC. Besides that, we're basically talking about a somewhat standard Paramilitary Group. Take that as a positive or a negative as you see fit.

Moving on to the operation of the faction, I think it could be handled better. I like the emphasis put on each individual player and their interactions, but it somewhat sacrifices a big drive of the faction in the faction itself's story. Besides that, there just isn't a huge push to do missions and keep activity up.

I've already talked to Brett at lengths about some of this stuff, so here are my suggestions. I think Brett should either buckle down or start from scratch. I think that the existing membership base, if they willing, should be taken to create a new group he is able to directly create and run as opposed to having it handed to him. The issues with comparisons can be erased and the slate can be wiped clean using what was learned here. Or, Brett can really consolidate things here and push forward as hard as possible. Get everyone running missions, recruiting, organizing things with other groups, keeping active contact with everyone, etc. It may be enough to really get activity back up and going.

I would suggests funneling it down simply to a basic PMC. No fancy bells and whistles, just a PMC.
