I agree, although I don't know why he would lie about something like that. I don't know why anyone would lie about global warming, unless they want to try and tax us for it or gain more control over the people.

Well I can't speak for everyone, but Gore is heavily invested in green technology that's meant to combat global warming. If people suddenly turn away from that, he stands to lose a lot of money.

I see. But what about other government officials? Are they trying to somehow take advantage of the populace? Or are they just crazy?

I don't think there's a vast conspiracy of government officials who know they're spewing crap just to trick people. I think most of them who say they believe it really do believe it and just want to make sure that the future of our planet is secure. The only people you should be looking at as potentially deceiving people are those at the University of East Anglia.

And possibly Al Gore.

And the politicians who jumped on board to try and win votes before they even knew what the crap they were talking about OR checked their facts.

But nah, not much of a conspiracy, when compared to some of the other lobbying groups out there...
