Aleyah Rhydon
Jedi_Exile_2____WIP_by_JosephB222.jpg

Name: Aleyah Rhydon
Faction: Alliance for a New Republic; Civilian Resistance
Rank: Rebel Militia Member; Smuggling Operative
Species: Human
Age: 20 (1202-1122 ABY)
Gender: Female
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 135 lbs.
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Black
Skin: Caucasian
Distinguishing Marks:
Force Sensitive: Yes

SKILLS:
- Navigational Piloting
- First Aid Response

Equipment:

- Single-Bladed Green Lightsaber (Yet to be Obtained)
As a youngling among the Jedi, Aleyah had not yet reached the point where a Master would take her on as a Padawan. Having been disconnected from the Order for over ten years, she plans to one day rejoin her people and attain this right of passage properly, despite her studies of the mechanics with Tyrion before the Fall.

- Fast-Act Medikit Package (Light Kolto Supply)
A compact, but spacious package deigned for mobile wear, Aleyah keeps this compartmentalized first aid kit across her back, strapped over one shoulder and hip for easy access in the heat of the moment. Without many resources to claim as assets after her escape from the slavers, Aleyah's few precious belongings were essential tools with which she used to survive. Prominent metals varying in shape and size are kept in the bottom portion of the package, using them for anything between picking locks and prying a man's jaw open to prevent one from biting his own tongue off during certain conditions. In this section of the adorned pouch, Aleyah also includes a decent amount of food rations and a small blanket that doubled for a pillow.

In the center compartment across the middle of her back, Aleyah kept immediate medical supplies that she'd gathered during her time on Manaan. With much of the crew in poor health conditions, a priority of disinfectant and fresh gauze were a need, available at inexpensive prices at common corner stores. In addition to a set of vacuum-sealed syringes and applicable biofoam as opposed to stitching, Aleyah keeps a capsule of antibiotics mixed with powdered kolto, kept as a reserve to ensure the sickness that plagued them would not return. The little remaining kolto Aleyah acquired on Manaan remains contained in reserve for an immediate situation.

Aleyah keeps nothing in the top compartment of the package at this time.

- Light Thermal Hooded Jacket

- Durable Light Boots

1013-1016 ABY

- Hidden on the fringe of space, secluded from the overpowering force the Sith Imperium reigns down upon the galaxy, the remaining organized, yet scattered, Jedi can afford only what can be spared in such dire times to those still under the grip of the Sith Imperium. With the rebellion counteracting the Imperial march at every corner, resources are scarce to come by, forcing those fortified behind desolate enclaves to ration supplies, all while collectively scouring the galaxy for surviving refugees and those still loyal to the Light. For those that made it from Coruscant in time, from the Sith armada, whether to disappear for years or get smuggled across neutral trade lines to find refuge, resources were just as scarce. The families prioritized nourishment for the sick and the young, still managing to pay off the piloting crew of whatever vessel freighted them further from the imminent nightmare behind. While Aleyah, a young girl, was among these prioritized few for the first several years after the Fall of Coruscant, her adopted family of refugees were not among the wealthiest of traders. Malnutrition was an early obstacle for their group of survivors following the destruction of the home they all shared. Those too old or too weak to manage through the long nights aboard smuggling transports with no heat for lengths of time fell quickly. For some, the shock of sheer reality was enough to kill their hope of survival. For what the galactic war crisis had turned into, the utter destruction of a planet's inhabitable surface, brought even to the doorstep of these average lives, convinced some that no place was safe from the Sith - not even the sanctity of the Jedi. The belief twisted beyond simple pessimistic certainty into a contagious string of suicides. For Aleyah, the only silver lining to be sown was having more rations to portion around for those still strong enough to hang on. This continued state of malnourishment and cramped living residence led to stunted growth development issues regarding the spine and muscle toning.

- From the first moment of Coruscant's evacuation to the last smuggling cruiser along the Corellian Trade Line into neutral Hutt Space, Aleyah's accustomed lack of nutrients had become almost a norm for the underfed and cramped group of Imperial fugitives. Their appetites shrunken, some still too ill to even eat on their own, and all their bodies shriveled to a point beyond recognition. While Aleyah and her handler were the only official members of the Jedi Order, they were all enemies of the Sith. Anyone under the assisted care of the Jedi Order at the time of the Sith attack would have been executed on sight, even possibly considered for targeted bombings. Only a handful of civilians could be considered lucky to have avoided the invading massacre in the streets, the falling wreckage of space debris from the orbiting war. Tons upon numerous masses fell from the sky that day, causing more damage in itself to the city structures and its populace than the Empress's finalized end to the chaos. That ominous, creeping black shadow of a storm engulfing the planet floated endlessly in Aleyah's mind, forever etched into her small, scared perspective from the corner of an escape vessel's window as she was carried into hyperspace, never to lay eyes upon the home she once knew. This disturbing past and decrepit survival experience left Aleyah with traumatic trust issues concerning shared assets of a group, such as food or essential equipment, as well as a fear of being smothered in the dark.

- In the years that followed Aleyah's escape from Coruscant, she and Tyrion, her assigned handler from the Order, changed vessels only twice while among the rest of their fugitive company. Trapped behind the borders of Sith Space, unable to pass a thorough security inspection without safe identification records, the smuggled group had been thinned by various means. Some with injuries not yet healed along those injured during the evacuation fell worse to infection, leaving loved ones empty. Not all of the remaining survivors were stricken by stress or symptoms of space dementia, but each one of them held a reason as to their required needs of assisting living from representatives of the Order. Some were marred by the war, inflicted physical wounds of crippling degrees to a point of honorable discharge. Medical patients of this variety were most often treated on a regular basis through focused physical therapy and light healing techniques through the Force, much like the weekly patients that came for employment psych-evaluation. Many of the original crew were colleagues of Tyrion's, rejoined during the escape. Aleyah couldn't even remember their voices. So many hadn't made it past the first year, their names and faces fading into Aleyah's memory like the engulfing shroud of darkness that chased after them. It wasn't their voices that she remembered, but the tones they used to each other in mourning. It was the loss and sorrow in the aftermath of their downfall that reminded the Jedi youngling that not everything was yet lost. It wasn't until her and Tyrion's first transfer to another starship with their nearly broken remainder before they dealt with their first murder. Aleyah has grown a distinct detachment from forming emotional bonds with those she's forced to be close with, aside from those she deeply considers family. This detachment subconsciously encourages herself to more closely perceive her own current situation, rather than prioritizing her efforts towards the safety of others.

1016-1018 ABY

- Upon changing route closer to Hutt Space from the smuggling freighter, the group found themselves posing as an order of slave properties, making their way through the designated military security checkpoints, and deeper into the mismanaged Hutt territories of piracy and murder. No sooner than the ship passed the final hyperspace checkpoint, the very captain that took in the survivors of Coruscant was slain on his own bridge. The body was immediately thrown into the slave den in the lower decks, revealing a single blaster bolt to the back of a very scorched skull. The intense grotesqueness of the smoldering corpse was enough to make Aleyah vomit instantly. This vivid memory of intense burn wounds stands out as a defining moment of shame in Aleyah's memory, remembering that she could do not nothing but stare helplessly. Following the false slave ship's mutiny, the plane of neutral Hutt Space left a broad market for the ship's new captain, now holding his smuggled refugees as their originally deceptive role. It was just as the Sith began to cut off and conquer the very trade line Aleyah's group had used to escape before half the refugees were sold into slavery. Not many went with a fight after the first three were executed instantly for resistance. With the Imperium snatching up the primary means of supply and demand from the Corellian Trade Line, what little resources the scattered Order had to work with in assisting their captivated allies was now scrapped to the mere rumor of continued survival. It wasn't long before the next words of rumor told story of the Jedi's very near extinction. This was an intense negative impact on morale among the surviving members of Aleyah's group in the hopes that the remaining Jedi sects would still find a way to rescue them.

- While it was never revealed to Aleyah or Tyrion as to what instigated the betrayal of mutiny over their former savior, the young Force sensitive and her handler soon heard the rumors of war and territorial campaigns of resistance through the slave trade. Where the Hutts weren't engaged with Bothans in conflict, ships were in constant loop between the backwater scum planets where slaves were flipped for profit based on their breeding capabilities or sheer constitution of labor. More often than not, the burliest slaves were put to use in private armies, shuffled among the front lines as cannon fodder. It was only a lesser evil than the nightmarish Sith victories told in stories barely more audible than the clanking of binding chains. Less than the claustrophobic settings Aleyah had come to terms with, the feeling of being bound from her freedom was one that haunted her nightmares for years, distancing herself from the embrace of anyone or anything. It had been months since the last interaction with any word from whatever part of the Order still remained. Tyrion's limited contacts 'went dark' shortly after the second captain's murder. The youngling's handler had contacts on the outside prior to the evacuation, some behind enemy lines while others resided in neutral territory, but the herd was thinning. Assumedly, it was another of Tyrion's smuggling contacts that attempted to shuffle him and Aleyah to safety, possibly too trusting in a room thought to be private. This paranoia reinforced Aleyah's belief that she and Tyrion would need to break their chains of their own accord, rather than sitting and waiting for help. She firmly believed in the Order's survival, acknowledging that they may not have the realistic capabilities to locate everyone, but perhaps might draw to one another subliminally through the Force. It wasn't until word passed from newly added slaves to the ship did Aleyah and Tyrion truly understand the state of the galaxy.

1018-1022 ABY

- More disturbing than the murderous horrors of the shit end of the stick in Hutt Space or the terrifying doom from the unyielding Sith Imperium were the stories of internal conflict among the few surviving Jedi sects. Brothers and sisters that were considered masters of the Light turned against each other, secluding themselves even further from times of war, or even disbanded altogether from the Order to form an independent faction. Word of these defections from the light transgressed, and all hope seemed lost to those could not help themselves. Only the slaves that carried onto the thought of self sufficiency would survive long enough to hear the tales of unification, finally brought together under the guidance of the legendary Ebberla Daw. A general even in the early conflicts of the war, a Sage Master of the Order after her horrific encounter with the Empress herself, stood out as a blinding beacon to all those that still remained in the galaxy in search of hope. It was this reunion of Jedi leaders to a common effort that influenced Aleyah to convince Tyrion it was time to make a stand. Many of the unifying rumors were discouraged by the militaristic defeat of Corellia and Duros, however reinforced by the outstanding efforts made to hold out on Manaan. By no means could the Rebellion be considered gaining a foothold, but their very survival was all people like Aleyah and Tyrion needed. It wasn't long until they were finally sold to another crew of slavers, luckily sold in bulk with the rest of the remaining refugees from Coruscant. They were due to Nar Shadaa after settling the ownership paperwork, where Aleyah and Tyrion planned their escape.

- Upon arrival of the eternal Smuggler's Moon of Nar Shadaa, Aleyah and Tyrion masked themselves in a group of preselected slaves for auction. Once shuffled in the crime riddled streets, the pair made their move. The shackles were only an obstacle of mobility, but an unforeseen arming of lethal weaponry. In the confusion of a distracting brawl between disputing merchants and buyers over an exceptionally brutish slave, Tyrion took the opportunity to slip behind the slight view of the large slave and the traitorous slaver watching over them - Tyrion slipped his bindings over the neck of his captor on his side of the arguing crowd, wrestling him to the ground beneath the stampeding feet of hustling slavers, urgently attempting to conceal himself and force the slaver into the stampeding crowd that was turning into scuffle. It wasn't until Tyrion had freed himself and slipped Aleyah the key before he disappeared into the mob, pulled closer into the brawl taking place around the massive slave. As Aleyah stared, she wrenched her wrists from her own captor, keeping hold of three thin women, though varying in age. The oldest was a wretched savage that played with her own feces aboard the ship, shuffled in not too long ago. The other, a widow of suicide after the mortal injury their young boy fell to from the falling wreckage of Coruscant's streets. The fowl older woman was wrenched with her as Aleyah yanked on her restraints, sending the frail demented woman stumbling into the slaver as he grasped for the chains' connecting handle. The chains tangled as he tumbled forward, Aleyah quickly working to free herself as she moved to the widow. They were both free and making a run for the ship, Aleyah spying the crowd for Tyrion. As a last ditch effort to buy themselves time, her handler was in the center of the brawl, eventually spread to the very feet of the hulking slave they fought over. Tyrion pulled a blade from somewhere she couldn't perceive, slashing free the giant's shackles before darting backwards into the observing crowd. It was all she could do to restrain from running straight for him, returning to his side as the Order's charge.[/u] Aleyah made her way back to the slaver's ship with her freed associate, despite focusing on her own and Tyrion's survival. It was only his guidance that gave her the courage to continue on, boarding the ship and making her way to the bridge.[/u] It was her task to get that ship in the air - with or without the only man to have never wavered from her side by his own loyalties. For the moment she hesitated at the helm of the ship, peering from the front blast shielded window to catch only a glance of Tyrion pushing forward in the crowd, a clear view of him from the pilot's chair where she sat. With a great smile, relieved that she wouldn't have to make that awful decision of leaving him behind, Aleyah was instantly crushed, catching only a glimpse of the slaver's spear piercing through the center of his ribcage from behind. Tyrion did not fall or waver, but only freeze in place, unable to move any further. Aleyah's face dropped, but only in disappointment that it could not have happened earlier, where she could have had the chance to do something about it. This loss reinforced Aleyah's belief that it was her own dedication to the cause that allowed her to keep going and accomplish the task at hand, accepting that lives are lost in times of war - it was only a matter of how useful that sacrifice could be made.

- With Tyrion gone and the slavers distracted, Aleyah took control of the ship and made course for the Outer Rim with the recently freed slaves and her remaining group mates, not hoping to engage a Sith patrol on her first flight out alone. With the basis of keeping a low profile, the war was an all time red flag. She needed to stay in the neutral territories and find some remnant of the Jedi Order, hopefully a trace that can lead them to an organized hideout, where she would do anything to avoid getting caught in the middle of the skirmish. While she supported and encouraged the resisting rebels wherever the fight may be, Aleyah needed to find her people before heading into this galactic struggle with a vendetta. She was no fool in thinking an established rebel base would be set up for her to simply come home to. The Jedi were in hiding, well away from the war, as opposed to the remnants of those that fight with small strategic strikes to the Sith's spread, but endless forces. Stories of heroic raids on medical supply lines and reinforcement brigades were seen as definite accomplishments, but even in the hopes of finding a Rebel strike group, it would mean floating out in the middle of Sith traffic. The young survivor's only option was to take her newly stolen vessel even further off the grid, and possibly even farther from the very Jedi she sought. Without any means of communication between survivors, she chose to enter the starship into an extended hyperspace route circling along the rim while she payed tribute to her fallen guardian. Relieving herself from the stressful company of those now under her care, Aleyah secluded herself to the captain's chambers, wanting nothing more than to fall into a deep trance of meditation, just like Tyrion instructed her to in times of crisis or panic. It was a shame he wasn't a user of the Force, but neither was she to a trained degree. At only ten years of age during the Fall of Coruscant, the Jedi youngling hadn't yet gained the opportunity of formal training. It was under the community outreach aide program to those in need of assisted living that she learned very basic and generally useful techniques from Jedi early training. Even those without influence in the Force gained insight from this, and it was a last homage of respect to Tyrion. It was this moment when Aleyah first subconsciously began to open her mind and senses to other presences in the Force, probing the endless night for signs of the Light Side of the Force.

- During the years of Mandalorian conflict, Aleyah and the surviving crew steered clear from the accumulating starship grave site, literally leaving a hole in space where no one seemed to enter. The border of Mandalorian Space and Imperial territory was a fine line when it came to trade routes until the Empress herself intervened. It was a miracle that the clan banded together for at least one galactic common enemy, but the only benefit there was that everyone was leaving each other alone - except for themselves. The Mandalorians continued their internal conflict while the Sith sat back and rebuilt their armada from the years of waged warfare. The both concerned themselves with issues of their own oriented nationality, while the Jedi continued to stay in isolation, excluding themselves from the war of the Rebellion and the Empire, while the Sith continued to run rampant. There was little the Order could do in this state, but even the Rebellion's continued 'futile' efforts never seemed to stop or pause, always pressing forward. If those without powers of the Force could hold onto a strength of will for that long, Aleyah wondered why the Jedi couldn't muster up as just as much to help. Except that she knew exactly why the Jedi couldn't lift a finger - or wouldn't, depending on the perspective, but her's saw that even with Jedi involvement, the oncoming Sith oppression can not be stopped by simply rallying to a banner. No, the fates of the galaxy would fall under another category, aside from the conflicting balance of the Force. Aleyah took amusing comfort in the thought that the Hutt Empire might actually rise against that of the Sith's, ultimately leading to a stalemate in the war where the Rebellion and Jedi Order could sweep in to clean up the mess.

- With the very Hapes Consortium coming to a collapse against the overbearing 'politics' of the Sith and the Siege of Manaan finally coming to a close, the galactic trade lines were in utter chaos. The ultimatum offered by the Selkath spread across the galaxy almost quicker than the rumors of the reunified Jedi Order under Ebberla Daw. The use of Kolto had long since been used as a primary source of medical aide, but especially in these times of war, any means of advantage was a means for supply and demand. With Bacta quickly becoming a rare find, the possible destruction of kolto could have thrown not only the war into a downward spiral, but the general care and treatment of civilian life in every political faction would suffer. This would effectively destroy the medical economy from the core worlds out, leaving the Imperium little choice other than to abide by Selkath neutrality. It was more than a shock to hear about the Sith backing down from a threat, but Aleyah supposed the siege had gone on for so many years, it must have been the only option. She wondered what it may have been like to conduct aquatic warfare, the different strategies involved in the reef-like terrain and how their underwater civilizations must have fended off mechanical attacks. These were all fields of scientific strategies she'd studied before on Coruscant, even in her early years of schooling. In the days of the Alliance however, even her grade of younglings were prepared for early engagement in some form or another, may it be physical combat or distant logistics. In her case, it was evacuating those unable to take care of themselves. With little other choices, other than remaining on the fringe of space with the bare minimum supplies and what little they could afford to trade, Aleyah changed course for Manaan, hoping the newly established neutral territory would bring more fortune than that of Hutt Space, and hopefully reveal traces of the Jedi Order.

OOC: I didn't delve too much into her family aspects. I pretty much feel like they would have died on Coruscant, and given that her appointed instructor sorta provided the guardian role, I figure she's got just enough going on that she can find a place to look around and try to get back in touch with one of the Jedi groups. Probably looking at the secluded forest temple on Arbra or searching for the archive preserving Light of the Force. Whichever fits better with the timeline's situation of events. I based the time that passed (1013-1022) on the current Story main thread. Any and all criticism in either the character basis, reflected speculation on galactic events, or theoretical intention for the character to pursue are all welcomed and encouraged.

*The underlined parts are more specified facts about character development regarding strengths and weaknesses or key moments in her progressive capabilities*

I dig it, The underlined parts are cool, but almost function as a tl;dr.

Looking forward to see you back in the fold, Zach! (Despite never having RP' with you in the past).

lol, it's kinda funny you say that. I originally used the underlines as a part of outline, but ended up using it for precisely that (tl;dr) since I didn't want to use the standard template.

Glad to be back, and I'm looking forward to it as well. I figure rolling on the Light Side this time around might be a nice way to change it up. I've got a whole indi Firefly-esque crew and ship design in the works for the next SWRP Saga (timeline reboot, or whatever's happening in the future when Part II comes to a close).

EDIT: I plan to fill in the blanks between the ship transfers with a larger variety of slaves that come and go for grapevine chatter, but more along the lines of traumatic slave experiences and the such. Very eery character development, but nothing important aside from establishing that she's got issues. Also, updated with timeline years to clear up when things are happening.

EDIT: Cleaned it up, reworded, expanded certain topics.

Sounds like a plan, I'd love to.

Doh, my bad Gaba. I thought the Loremaster position was turned into the Sage Master some time before the skip, I'll change it now.
