She wanted to run away. And for months, she had done just that. Let Haldir work with Elidan, and though she had taken responsibility for her own actions, she still walked away, letting her fate hang in the balance. She wanted to hunt down the ones that had taken away a person she thought was the only one who valued her, and hurt many others. Broken her vows, her promises.
The bitterness of it still sang in her heart. But she had decided that a long sojourn alone was just what she needed. So she had taken her remaining belongings and vanished from the Order, to clear her head and to piece back together her broken heart.
Back to the place where her life had taken a sharp turning point. Back to the Demon Moon of Dxun.
She couldn't explain why she wanted to return to that place, to that temple. Perhaps it was the memories with Crix, or seeing her former Master's face for the first time. But being left alone, to survive and scrape and work hard, had given her a clarity nothing else could. Still... with walking away from the Order and her former Master, she knew she left some things unsaid that shouldn't have been. Some things that caused more pain than they should have, if she had spoken up in the beginning.
So she called for him the only way she knew how.
The echoing Song through the Force, a tremulous, questing echo that would cross every distance, every uncharted parsec and thrum at him. And she would wait, in the abandoned temple, eyes closed to meditate as her Skreev Mantis would patrol the skies, keeping an eye out for any ships. She could wait. No matter how long it took, she would be the one to wait this time.
