Yes, you read it correctly. Along with the Alternative Star Wars Saga, I now have plans in the works for an Alternative Star Trek Saga. The ASTS will be a re-imagining of the original Star Trek TV series and will follow the established canon of Star Trek: Enterprise. This re-imagining, titled Star Trek: Federation will focus on the five year mission of Captain James T. Kirk and the starship Enterprise as they work towards peace with the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire. "Episodes" will feature stories that are completely original, ie. written by me, while others will be nearly identical to original Star Trek episodes, such as The City on the Edge of Forever. The cast of "Federation" includes:

Matt Damon as
Captain James T. Kirk

Adrien Brody as
Commander Spock

Gary Sinise as
Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy

James McAvoy as
Lieutenant Commander Montgomery "Scotty" Scott

Rosario Dawson as
Lieutenant Nyota Uhura

Daniel Dae Kim as
Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu

Wes Bentley as
Ensign Pavel Chekov

Sienna Miller as
Yeoman Janice Rand

So far, I have written the synopsis for the first episode of the series and I have begun the script as well. The first episode, titled simply “Enterprise”, will be a “passing of the torch”, so to speak, from the crew of Star Trek: Enterprise to the crew of Star Trek: Federation. The episode description is as follows:

“After a horrific massacre on Gioghe at the hands of the Romulans, James T. Kirk is promoted to Captain and is given the command of the starship Enterprise, succeeding now-Commodore Christopher Pike as its commanding officer. At Kirk’s official swearing-in ceremony, a deranged Starfleet Intelligence operative bursts in and begins to spout out information about the late Commander Charles Tucker III, the legendary Chief Engineer of the original Enterprise. Starfleet Command brushes it off as nothing more than the words of a lunatic, but the leader of a shadowy sect of Starfleet Intelligence known as Section 31 contacts Captain Kirk en route to Starbase 13 to tell him that the information was correct: Charles Tucker did not die the way Starfleet Command said he died. In fact, he could still be alive. At Starbase 13, another former officer of the original Enterprise, T’Pol, is secretly transferred aboard Enterprise to aid in a desperate search for the truth that could mean the difference between war and peace with the Romulan Star Empire.”

The guest cast of the episode is as follows:

Robert Duncan McNeil as
Commodore Christopher Pike

Jamie Bamber as
Commander Gary Mitchell

Jolene Blalock as
T’Pol

Connor Trinneer as
Charles “Trip” Tucker III

Scott Bakula as
Jonathan Archer

More information on the guest cast for this episode will follow soon, as will segments of the script. It is interesting to note that some of this script is based off of the novel titled “Enterprise: The First Adventure”, “Star Trek: Enterprise - Last Full Measure” and “Star Trek: Enterprise - The Good That Men Do”.

Stay tuned!

Now here is a picture that a user on DeviantArt made. I'm adopting his uniform design as the design of the uniforms in my stories, albiet with a few minor modifications:

It's not like I said that the original series is bad. These are just new stories.

I still don't know about Damon. For some reason, I can see Damon's head on the body of Khan.

I am unsure of this. Not being a particular star trek fan i have nothing against a revamp of the original series'es.

On the other hand, it would need to be done pretty well, but hey, i imagine that wouldn't be too hard...

Aren't those cast members you used the ones they're possibly using for the new Star Trek Movie??

I thought the original was ok... but was beaten by the next generation (prepares to start war...)

There are rumors about Damon, Brody, Sinise, McAvoy and Kim, but no one working on the film has said anything about them.

"Teaser" Descriptions for the first three episodes. The first three episodes of the series are an arc, in case you weren't able to tell from the descriptions. If you haven't seen "Star Trek: Enterprise", particularly the shitty final episode titled "These Are The Voyages....", then you won't really understand these first three episodes.

Enterprise:
A grizzly murder during the first mission of the starship Enterprise under the command of Captain James T. Kirk brings the ship into the Phalanx, a disputed territory on the border of the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire, where they uncover a secret that could devastate the very foundations of the Federation: Charles Tucker III is alive.
GUEST STARS: Robert Duncan McNeil as Christopher Pike, Jolene Blalock as T’Pol and Connor Trinneer as Charles “Trip” Tucker III.

Leap of Faith:
Deep in Romulan territory, Captain Kirk locates Charles Tucker III and brings him back aboard Enterprise, to prevent an assassination attempt against him, where much of the crew turns to him for help about their problems with their assignments aboard Enterprise.
GUEST STARS: Robert Duncan McNeil as Christopher Pike, Jolene Blalock as T’Pol and Connor Trinneer as Charles “Trip” Tucker III.

Trip:
After surviving a devastating attack at the hands of the Romulans, Enterprise must press forward to move deeper into Romulan territory in order to prevent classified information about Charles Tucker III, the Romulan War and the crew of Enterprise NX-01 from leaking out to the general public, or else the very foundations of the Federation could come crumbling apart.
GUEST STARS: Robert Duncan McNeil as Christopher Pike, Jolene Blalock as T’Pol and Connor Trinneer as Charles “Trip” Tucker III.
