An idea for Chiss weapons

Was just looking randomly through things, looking at older beam tube weapons, when I came across these lol, I think it has a lot of potential, yeah, let me start some write ups. Should I follow the forms of the technology profiles?

Looking over this, I've got to ask, don't the Chiss already have weapons of this type in the form of our Maser cannons? Which, as particle beams, cannot be blocked by lightsabers?

No, the thing about Masers, is they are inherintly...stable...the particle beam weapons are unstable, which gives them the ability to explode on contact with a lightsaber or force shield. However, knowing this, I can add maser stability, with Particle Beam Unstability and create a new weapon for our use.

please do, creating weapons like that is what will push the Chiss back to the front of all things technological. we have been lagging behind and this is unacceptabke imo.

Quick interjection; particle beams are nothing at all like masers.

Masers are electromagnetic radiation weapons, specifically of the microwave frequency, amplified until they emanate (thus, weaponized). They were a lot like blasters, which also used electromagnetic radiation, but solely in the form of photon radiation (thus EM damage). Masers are more concentrated, and deliver both EM damage and kinetic force, so in a simplified way, you could see them as "blasters+" or blasters on steroids.

Particle beams are elementary particles with no electrical charge (thus not powered by electromagnetic radiation like blasters, masers and lasers). Instead, their power comes from particle acceleration via propulsion through electromagnetic fields, such as atom smashing (think of the energy that comes from matter and antimatter particles crashing into each other at light or near light speed).

The two are quite different and both effective weapons. Just my geek moment

Well Xeno, like always its cool, but I already have a solution for the differences in the weapons! And yeah, its why the two are NOTHING alike :p Why I have to create something specialized for it lol. Give me a little bit and you can have fun poking at the shiny new technology blaster!
