It was a bit of a chilly morning on Coruscant, despite the weather forecast predicting mild weather for the day. There was a bit of frost covering the corners of her bedroom windows when the Sephi eventually got up, though, by the time she'd dressed and gotten ready for the day, the ice crystals had melted away. If she'd had the day to herself, Billie might've curled up on the couch with a warm cup of cocoa and spent the coolest hours of the morning either reading or sketching down designs and concepts for her upcoming show. But, alas, the day belonged to something else. Someone else, to be precise.

"Billie? You'll need to leave within the hour if you want to make it on time. Do you want me to call you a car?" called a voice from the other room. Cara, Billie's friend and live-in butler, made her presence even more known when she stuck her head inside the Sephi's bedroom to further prompt the woman to hurry. "You don't want to be late, do you?"

"I'll be ready, Cara," the designer assured the other woman. "Go ahead and call a car."

While Cara went off to do that, Billie finished putting together her temporary ensemble for the day. Ro'vana had mentioned before that there would be gowns and antique masks already there to borrow, and though the woman wasn't thrilled at the idea of wearing loaner clothing, she figured it was a part of the event. Until then, she dressed comfortably in monochromatic, violet ensemble with a pair of matching silk gloves to complete it. Monochromatic outfits. Silk gloves. The Sephi never strayed.

As promised, she was ready when the car arrived. Billie gave a wave to Cara before she left, then slipped inside the private taxi and sat with her legs crossed and her hands in her lap for the duration of the ride. She wouldn't lie; she was looking forward to an event for once.

Ro'vana arrived at the ball very, very early. The venue was on one of the most open and highest levels on the planet, where you could smell the fresh air and see the night sky. The building, from the outside, looked almost like a metal castle. On the inside, however, marble mixed with beautiful metal chandeliers and red stair-carpets to paint a picture of a regal palace. She and her band had set up the fancy stage and rehearsed a bit to easily transition from their set to the small orchestra being brought in from Hapes. She felt more out of place than usual. All of the people surrounding her, besides her trusty band, were all rich, snooty, and far too boring- especially the women in the orchestra. The exception is the man who invited her- the host. The host of the party, a large cat-like creature, was an old booking agent of hers when she was fresh out of the club her mom worked at. And a very sweet, gentle giant he was. "It's Bill to my friends," he always said, "And you will always be one of them." His real name, as Ro'vana only found out years after ended her contract with him, is actually Billiam.

"Bill!" Ro'vana waved, seeing the large man enter the even larger ballroom, "So glad to see you again, dear." Bill offered a large paw in the air and a fanged smile as he chatted with his caterers on the other side of the room. "I'll catch you soon, yeah? And I get to meet your little date!" Ro'vana had almost entirely lost track of time because of rehearsal- she had to go meet up with Billie! She can't just leave her standing awkwardly at the entrance! Ro'vana looked around the room, frantically searching for a clock. Her eyes landed on a huge grandfather clock at the far end of the hall- she had just about 15 minutes before she met with Billie. "I've still got time." Ro'vana thought, mentally cursing herself for spending too much time with the band, "We still need to pick out out ensambles, too. I hope she likes Bill's collection..." Speaking of the devil, Bill piped up once more from his corner of the room- "One the pretty lady's here, come bring her to meet me! I'll fix you two up very nicely. I've got the finest gowns in all the galaxy!" Ro'vana took that as her cue to leave, nodding goodbye to her fellow musicians and heading to the grand entrance. Hopefully, Billie wasn't there early.

If she was... "I'll think of an excuse when I get there" Ro'vana mumbled to herself, speed-walking through the venue. Nearing the large, wooden double doors, she pushed them open. She made it in time.

The taxi's thrusters slowed to a dim glow, then rotated forward as it descended in front of the venue. There was a faint humming as the vehicle hovered just a foot above the duracrete platform, but it was barely audible above the ambient sounds of the surrounding city. Distant chatter rose up from the streets below, and the whistling and whooshing of passing air speeders ran a slight breeze through the air.

Billie stepped out from the hover vehicle onto the ground, smoothing down the fabric on her pants as she did. Her eyes settled on the metal, castle-esque building in front of her, then dropped down as the doors opened and Ro'vana stepped out. Her ears perked up ever-so-slightly, but her face remained pleasantly passive.

"Ro'vana," she greeted with a slight nod of her head. "This is certainly an interesting building you've called me to."

Ro'vana smiled as Billie approached. "You'll love this place," Ro'vana said, ushering her inside. When Billie follows, she'd notice the vast difference between the outside of the building and the inside. First of all, the inside looks like it doesn't belong on Coruscant. Marble and polished wood replaces the usual silver and metals used in construction. "It's an artists dream!" Ro'vana spun around to face Billie once more. She hoped that the usual blank expression on her face would change to something of amusement, but she didn't get her hopes too high up.

"Bill, the host of the party," Ro'vana walked forward once more, leading Billie up the grand staircase, "Should be in his closet to help us pick some garments out. His closet is a full room. A full room, dear!" Quickening her pace, Ro'vana reached the top of the staircase and veered left towards where Bill said his collection was. It wasn't too far down the hallway, Ro'vana remembered, so it wouldn't take long to get there. She was so excited that she bolted ahead, ready to meet Billie at the door. Once Billie arrived, Ro'vana would push it open and welcome her inside.

"Welcome, girls, come on in!" said a warm voice, echoing through the room. Bill stepped into the center of the room, his loose satin robe covering his white, black, and orange spotted fur. Ro'vana noticed that he was only slightly taller than Billie, which made her laugh a little. Looking around the room, Ro'vana saw doors leading into even smaller rooms of masks, gowns, suits, shoes, and even a sewing room. "Hopefully Billie thinks this is as interesting as I do." thought Ro'vana, entering the room once Billie had done the same.

"So, Miss Bonheur," Bill asked, turing to face Billie once she was in his line of sight, "What are you in the mood for today?"
