It was a bit of a chilly morning on Coruscant, despite the weather forecast predicting mild weather for the day. There was a bit of frost covering the corners of her bedroom windows when the Sephi eventually got up, though, by the time she'd dressed and gotten ready for the day, the ice crystals had melted away. If she'd had the day to herself, Billie might've curled up on the couch with a warm cup of cocoa and spent the coolest hours of the morning either reading or sketching down designs and concepts for her upcoming show. But, alas, the day belonged to something else. Someone else, to be precise.
"Billie? You'll need to leave within the hour if you want to make it on time. Do you want me to call you a car?" called a voice from the other room. Cara, Billie's friend and live-in butler, made her presence even more known when she stuck her head inside the Sephi's bedroom to further prompt the woman to hurry. "You don't want to be late, do you?"
"I'll be ready, Cara," the designer assured the other woman. "Go ahead and call a car."
While Cara went off to do that, Billie finished putting together her temporary ensemble for the day. Ro'vana had mentioned before that there would be gowns and antique masks already there to borrow, and though the woman wasn't thrilled at the idea of wearing loaner clothing, she figured it was a part of the event. Until then, she dressed comfortably in monochromatic, violet ensemble with a pair of matching silk gloves to complete it. Monochromatic outfits. Silk gloves. The Sephi never strayed.
As promised, she was ready when the car arrived. Billie gave a wave to Cara before she left, then slipped inside the private taxi and sat with her legs crossed and her hands in her lap for the duration of the ride. She wouldn't lie; she was looking forward to an event for once.
