Like my threads keep stagnating and I don't understand why. Even the mission threads seem to have stagnated. IDK if it's my fault, or? Anyways, I'm looking for people who wanna play with Vinn or @The Nameless One and will actively participate. I'm pretty open to ideas. I guess if you're interested, let me know.

That is the curse of being one of the more active RPers on the site. Something you could do (I only know of two of our characters, and I am not aware of a third) is that you could create a third character that you could use to PvP with. PvP rules dictate the 48 hour rule, making it so that your thread doesn't die out, or someone loses their character implicitly. That kind of forces that your opponent is going into the thread knowing that they are going to have to be active.

Otherwise, you can simply add more threads to work on at once. It is entirely possible to have 20+ threads going all at once, and seeing that some threads can die out or not even be posted on for days at a time, it isn't like you are forced to reply to all 20 threads daily or even at once. In fact, out of the 20 threads, you can assume that several of them are going to die out and several more are going to just move very slowly. The rest may very well remain active to some degree. You can create many of these threads to revolve around a personal story Arc.

Another option is that you could try working on your own personal works off site! I know that I am getting quite a few ideas from the threads I am working on that I would love to translate in one way or another into my own personal ideas. If you have anything that you'd like to get written that may not actually be possible on the site (FanFaction of Star Wars or an original idea), then you can spend a lot of your free time between threads on that.

A final option is that you can Host a few of my mission threads form E-Corp Archeology. I have recently realized that getting through 10+ threads per season may take a little while longer that I initially thought, and getting help on completing them would not only be good for the E-Corp story Arc, but it would also help to promote some activity elsewhere on the Site. I would be comfortable enough with allowing you to NPC my character Alastair since you've been in a couple of threads with him, and I am confident in your writing ability to not only progress a story but also to portray my character effectively. If that is something you are indeed interested and/or comfortable doing, I would be happy to have a Conversation with you regarding the details of what that entails -as I have a specific vision for how many of these threads are supposed to turn out, although I will not be able to participate in as many threads at once.

I wouldn't recommend 20+ threads, burn out is a b****, plus you end up being the one that causes the threads to stagnate. I recommend two options, other than creating a third character, is also a good option for diversifying your RP experience. The first is to start a thread or two with newer members of the site, they tend to be some of the most active in the short term, however there is also a higher rate of threads dying off or being forgotten. Lots of turnover here, but it is still a quick fix. The other option is to hit up a few people you enjoy RPing with, or would like to RP with and try and think of a story arc involving your characters, whether the group is two members strong or 5-6 small, discussing where you want your characters' stories to go, ideas for threads, and creating a unifying narrative designed for your characters as a whole, this is by far my favorite option, although it can take time to locate people, or come up with a proper narrative. The second option offers more consistent RPing, but I typically go for a mix of the two, keeps things fresh as well as consistent. It also build friendships, so that's a plus. Although it forces you to take a hard look at what you want from the RP. Blowing s*** up might be fun, but deep interpersonal connections and emotional ties between characters is where the meat of it all is, at least as far as my tastes go.
