Arla heard the report of a blaster that was different than the ones that had been shooting at her, and she had to assume that was a good sign. A sign that things had gone pretty much the way they had planned, and that was excellent news.
She emerged into the hangar bay to find that their target was down, and she snickered slightly. Fine, so the job hadn't been "easy" but the final execution had been great. Nevermind the fact that they had nearly been blown up because that wasn't relevant.
Nice work, she said, giving a nod and almost a smile toward her new partner. She couldn't help but think that she'd made a good choice in hiring the woman, and she was eager to see what she managed to get up to in the future.
We'll round up the mark and then maybe get some real food and drink. And then some sleep, she said with a sigh. She was more tired than she wanted to admit, but it was another hunt well done.
