So I finally took the leap and went to the dark side. I bought a MacBook Pro today and I love it so far, but it's confusing.

Are there any tips and tricks from the people who have them? Apps I need to get? Anything????

Sorry, I’ve had more problems with Windows than Mac.

That said, I’ve also been saddened by various things with a Mac, so it’s a give-take relationship.

But if I would suggest anything, I’d say get Twitter App.

Unless you want to buy stuff.....it depends...on what you are going to do...

Well that was misleading, I assumed this thread was about actual apples. *Sigh*

I don't understand the dislike for Apple. Every PC laptop and PC desktop that I've ever gotten has had pain in the ass problems after a few months, not because of the computer but because of Microsoft. I've had my Mac for a year now and I haven't had any problems.

I won't be going back to PC as my primary computer.

I dunno too much about Mac's but from what I believe, Macs have a non-customisable system (I could be wrong as I say don't use a mac and I am going by generally word of mouth here) so it could that PCs provide a more customisable interface in regards to computing, plus several over facets, being that PCS are generally more versatile, better gaming platforms I think, and just industry standard I guess. I personally prefer a PC and thats because I haven't tried a Mac to make another justification.

Primarily though, from what my friends have relayed to me on Macs, they is a very big dislike around the fact that there is little gaming support and hardware support and that macs are generally confusing.

Also, PCs != Microsoft, its just assumed such because the biggest marketting OS on PC is WIndows, but it is still possible I believe to get Mac OS on PCs and there are other OS like Linux, etc.

Either way I like it if someone who has a Mac could clarify any of my statements since I really myself don't know, just going by want i've been told.

Mac is perfect for people who don't fiddle with there computers.

I got a pc because I couldn't afford a mac and I've had more problems in 6 months then I had in 3 years with my mac.

Mac's are for people who mess up their computers because they don't know what they are doing.

Seems logical. I like to go into my computer and really mess with it. But I can understand why in that case alot of people prefer macs if your not tech savvy its probably a better system to use.

Basically this, I've had PC's for years that never once gave me any sort of problem. I ran XP up until a few months after windows 7 simply because I was capable of keeping everything up to date that needed to be up to date and modified things that needed to be changed.

I have never tried apple because you can't easily send documents from an apple to a pc that has Microsoft word. Have they fixed that problem yet? Oh, and by the way I am an ASUS man.

Yeah, it’s simple. Save in RTF format.
