Darman ran towards the recruit as she began to rise onto her feet. As he approached her, Mandalore probably did the last thing she would have expected. With one great leap, he dove over the recruit and landed swiftly onto her back side. With a quick attack, he shot his elbow towards her back.

OOC: Grrr...you didn't state if you stayed on top of her or rolled off. You've got me blindsided on this one. You bugger...lol

She had no time to roll away as he dove down on top of her, delivering a hard blow to her back. Landing hard on the ground again, she was trapped beneath his weight. Trying to catch the breath that had been knocked out of her, she knew had to do something before her had her hog tied. Pulling her arms up underneath her, she tried to push herself up and knock him off, knowing if she reached back, it would give him the chance to grab her arm and twist it behind her back again. Yet, she did bend her head back a little, closing the gap between her armor on the backside of her neck.

OOC: I actually meant my post as if I jumped completely over you...lol. But I'll keep going.

After a few seconds, Darman rose off of the recruit and backed up a bit. It would not help the training at all if their fight just turned into a wrestling match. He walked backwards and let Arya rise from the dirt ground, smiling.

"Keep up your attacks. You were pushing me back for a second there."

OOC: I wasn't sure....lol. "...he dove over the recruit and landed swiftly onto her back side." I had to re-read it several times and went with what I thought you did. :p

She got to her feet, the luster of her armor had faded a little, yet she didn't care. He had pinned her and that was something very few men were able to do and still live. This would not be a day she would forget. Any man who could best her only proved that she needed to get stronger, which she constantly strived to do.

She began to pace side to side, looking at him and wondering just where his weakness was. He was used to facing frontal attacks, but seemed weaker from behind, she noted. Faking to the left, she dodged to the right and ran at him. Jumping into the air, she pulled her body parallel to the ground, falling and sliding toward him. Moving one leg to slide between his own, trying to wrap herself around his leg and then deliver an uppercut to the soft unprotected area at his groin.

Darman reacted quickly to the uppercut, blocking the punch near his only weak spot. Because of her dive towards the ground, he could tell she would be attacking towards his lower body. Smiling, he shifted his two legs together, trapping her leg between his. He then spun 180 degrees, dragging the recruit along for the ride. Mandalore then faced Arya and sent out a swift punch towards her chest.

He was learning himself, she thought as her attack was thwerted. Men did everything they could to protect their precious jewels. Yet, as he trapped her between his legs, she knew he had something up his sleeve, her head tilted back, watching him as her butt dragged through the grass. Trying to pull her leg out from his grip, she struggled, but knew there was no way to break free just yet.

As he reared back his hand and let fly with a powerful punch, she barely had time to bring up both gauntlets in an X to block the attack. Twisting her wrist around with one hand, she made a grab for his wrist. If she could grab hold of him, she would twist his arm and yank down, attempting to dislodge his shoulder.

Darman felt his wrist being grabbed by the recruit, but just as quickly he grabbed with his other hand onto the recruit's arm. With a great heave, Darman lifted the recruit from the ground and held her into the air by her arms. After a moment, he threw her back a few inches away from him, then crouched again.

"Don't stick your limbs out into combat, it won't work out in your favor."

She cursed him under her breath as he flung her away and she re-established her fighting pose. Crouching low, she ran forward and jumped up into the air, aiming a high kick toward his adam's apple, wanting him to choke on his words. It seemed the young recruit had lost her temper afterall.

Darman crouched low and let the recruit jump over him. Mandalore quickly spun around threw his palm out again towards her back, wanting her to stop.

"What do you think you're doing, recruit? Do not attack me with rage."

OOC: Let the fun commence. :whistling:

Landing, she spun around and glared at Mandalore through his visor.

"Is this how you train other, recruits, sir?" she asked vehemently. "Or, do you just enjoy throwing the females around like rag dolls, watching them to see how long until they break and return to just bearing the new generation? If you haven't noticed, I'm not like any of the females here. You call this training?"

She reached for her helmet and pulled it off, throwing it to the ground. Dark hair fell down around her shoulders, framing her dark-tanned skin as violet eyes stared at him, seething with anger.

"General Fey and the former Mandalore were better than this," she finally said, spitting upon the ground before him.

Raising her gaze back up to the visor, she took a step toward the one called Mandalore. "Instead of just fighting, you could offer instruction, share some moves from your experience. A true warrior will make sure that none of his followers continue to flounder. You want the truth? My training focused upon the firing range and agility training. Now, shall we train, or do you enjoy beating down those of lower rank than yourself?" she asked him, knowing she was being insubordinate.

Darman walked towards the recruit, glaring within his helmet. Upon approaching her, he sent out a quick jab towards the woman's gut. After a second, he took a step back and crossed his arms.

"Now that I have your attention... I needed to see your breaking point. If you begin to get smart with officers during a battle, I wouldn't be too sure if I could trust you. Your ego is too big, to be blunt. Do not be so offended over the little things.

Now, if you really want to start the training, we'll begin. But, I need to know if I can trust you."

She jumped back, avoiding his jab, and lowered herself into a fighting pose, yet rose when she saw he was not going to attack again.

Suprise filled her eyes as she listened to his words. Arya had heard about how the others had received his announcement as taking the mantle of Mandalore. Yet, during her tenure as a recruit in the clan, she'd never come across him. Her days were filled with brutal training by General Fey and planning with another captain.

"My father was a traitor to the clan, but I'm not. I serve Mandalore and the clan. They are my life," she answered him. "As long as you wear the mantle of Mandalore I serve you."

"I see. Well then, let's continue."

Darman walked over to the massive boulder and looked at the weapons on the ground. With a quick motioned, he kicked his leg up, bringing up a blade soaring through the air. He snatched it quickly, then tossed it to the recruit.

"We'll begin with an blade attack form for fighting multiple opponents. Any questions?"

She reached her hand out, catching the blade by it's hilt and tested it in her grip. Her temper had eased somewhat as she turned her back to him and bent down to pick up the helmet. Driving the sword into the ground, she pulled her hair up and once again donned the familiar armor that struck fear in the hearts of all who saw it, the armor of the Mandalorians.

Grabbing the hilt of the sword again and plucking it from the ground, she raised her visor to Mandalore's and finally answered, "where are the multiple opponents?"

As the Mandalore heard the recruit's words, he let out a quick smile. Within a quick few moments, a rustling could be heard in the distant trees. Within seconds, nine dark shadows jumped out from the surrounding trees and landed around Darman and Arya. He quickly nodded to the fighting droids as he began to speak.

"Keep your center of gravity low and your blade reversed. Knock away the attacks, then counter with your own quick one. Don't forget to keep moving."

Darman smiled and slowly backed out of the circle until he reached the massive rock. With one quick jump, he landed ontop and sat down. With a nod from Mandalore, the droids closed in around the recruit.

As soon as the rustling was heard, Arya dropped into a fighting stance, watching as droids began to emerge from the woods around them. Turning around, she saw them coming from all sides, surrounding her. Her eyes darted back to Mandalore, tilting her head sideways a little, wondering just what his game was.

Yet, as he nodded his head, she saw the droids circling in around her. There was no time to ask what setting the droids were on. She figured from the former General Fey's training that they wouldn't be on a low setting. He didn't believe in doing anything half-assed. Swinging the sword once in her grip, she jumped into the air, kicking out, round house style toward two of the nearest droids as her hands brought the sword downward in a powerful swing, aiming toward the "neck" area of the droids in an attempt to sever it's circuits.

The first two droids were knocked into the air and were thrown a few feet backwards by the recruits kick. However, after a few seconds recovered themselves and rose. The other droid brought up it's arm to block the blade, but instead had it's metal limb severed. Although it wasn't what the droid was hoping for, it was better than not having a head.

Two droids then attacked the recruit at once. One droid swung its mechanical arm towards the recruit's face, as the other kicked out towards her legs.

OOC: Oopsie, I didn't check this. Sowwy, D-man.

Landing on her feet and turning her head around to see two more droids coming at her, she barely had time to react as an arm made a swing for her head. Turning and raising her blade to counter the droid's swipe, she blocked his punch with her blade, sparks flying from the contact of metal upon metal. Yet, the other droid's attack hit right on the money. With a jerk, her blade slid down the droid's arm as she felt her legs go out beneath her, landing upon the ground. Arya knew not to stay in one place for long, though, as she reached for her sword and rolled out of the way. Getting back onto her knees, she held the blade with both hands, swinging toward the legs of the approaching droids, hoping to sever at least one's legs.

One of the droids walked directly into the blade, easily having its two mechanical legs cut from the rest of its body. The rest of the droid fell onto the dusty earth, its motorized circuits beginning to shut down. However, another droid came running from behind its fallen "brother" and jumped into the sky, hoping to kick the recruit off of the ground.
