Physiology and Persona
| STRENGTH AND CONSTITUTION | As a nine year old boy, Ascalon is physically underwhelming due to his still developing physique and muscle mass. Nevertheless, his constitution, health and physique are typical of a boy his age and development. |
| DEXTERITY AND AGILITY | Much like his constitution, Ascalon's agility is also typical of a boy his age. However, his dexterity has matured beyond most children his age due to his upbringing around droids and tinkering with machines. |
| INTELLIGENCE | Ascalon is a "holo-worm", as it was much easier for him to delve into holo-books rather than socialize with other kids. Ascalon was never evaluated to receive a formal quotient on his intelligence, although at the very least, he's proven himself to be technically knowledgeable for his age. A true tinkerer, Ascalon loved to tweak droids and machines, even taking them apart then putting them back together again. Ascalon also showed himself able to hack or bypass electronic locks with datapads, suggesting he has a natural affinity toward multiple technical fields. |
| CHARISMA | Ascalon is reserved and timid in large crowds or around individuals he doesn't readily know, and is shy to a fault around strangers. More often than not, he won't even speak in the presence to others unless it is to someone he already knows. In addition, he is also socially awkward around other children his age, arguable moreso than he is around other adults. This is due to Ascalon avoiding children, which in turn restricted his social interactions almost entirely with adults. |
Talents and Abilities
| COMBATIVE SKILL | Ascalon couldn't survive in a simple fist fight to save his life. Besides shutting his eyes and aimlessly throwing his fists around, he has no martial instinct or ability whatsoever. The most that could claimed by him in a formal sense are the very few training sessions he's had at the Jedi Temple for wielding a training lightsaber via Shii-Cho and Aurum. |
| FORCE PROFICIENCY | As he had only recently formally joined the Jedi Order, Ascalon's skill with the Force is virtually negligible. However, he has shown manifested potential with what degree of training he has recieved, most notably with his telepathic and precognitive abilities. Like many siblings in the Force, Ascalon has a telepathic and Force Bond with his older brother. |
| SECULAR PROWESS | Perhaps the one area Ascalon could say he truly shines, the young boy is a glutton for reading and studying literature, be it fantasy holo-novels to bland technical manuals. In addition, Ascalon shows early signs for talent with electronics, engineering and mechanics. |
Personal Possessions
The only personal possession Aska kept from Corellia, N0-D1 (although affectionately called "Nodi"; pronunciation "Nho-dee") is a very small repulsor droid that functions much like a maintenance remote with some astromech subroutines. Ascalon originally found Nodi when he found it as scrap in a junkpile to be sent off to the trash compactors when he wandered about the university where his mother worked. Feeling empathetic for the droid as it was still active, although largely broken, Aska took the droid for himself, spending months fixing and tweaking the droid "back to health" as it were, and was the first expression of Aska's affinity toward mechanics. Nodi still possesses the programming for astromechs and maintenance, but for all intents and purposes, simply follows Aska around wherever he goes. Nodi possesses limited programming, but does maintain virtual sentience and it's own personality, and communicates in droidspeak. Nodi's virtual personality is remarkably similar to Ascalon's, save for Nodi being even more cautious and nervous around strangers than Aska is, much to Aska's own bemusement. In all manners of speaking, Ascalon considers Nodi to be his best friend outside of his mother and brother. |
Relationships
| Amadora Isola | Amadora is Ascalon's mother, whom he was deeply attached to, as any child would be to their mothers. Even with the prospect of training to become a Jedi, Ascalon was not, and still is not, fully convinced that leaving Corellia was the choice he wanted to make, at the expense of leaving her. Although Ascalon is academically inclined like his mother, their interests are almost complete opposite ends of the spectrum. Whereas his mother is geared toward biology and social studies, Ascalon finds such endeavors colossally boring, and instead finds favors with technological pursuits. |
| "Father" | Ascalon has no memory of his father, and the knowledge is minimal at best. What he does know is that his father was an Echani. Ascalon has pale skin, snow white hair and blue eyes as a testament to that. In addition, Ascalon and his older brother aesthetically appear to be identical despite not being genetic twins. This is due to an Echani trait, where siblings of the same parents appear identical to their parent of the same gender; in this case, his father. As such, the most Ascalon really knows is that his father was an Echani, and that he and his brother both must appear virtually identical to what their father looked like when he was their age. |
| Vitalis Isola | Vitalis, or "Vee", is Ascalon's older identical brother, and although the two were sometimes called "ghost twins" back on Corellia, as many Echani siblings are, they two are polar opposites in terms of their personalities. Ascalon is attached to his older brother, especially after the two were brought to Tython together, although he can become rather irritated by his hyperactive personality and reckless exploits, the latter of which often included Ascalon being dragged along and thus reaping the punishments together. |
| "Auntie" Aine Wolfe | Aine Wolfe is Amadora's best friend and Ascalon's and Vitalis' self-declared parental guardian after the two joined the Jedi Order. Because of the closeness of their relationship and that she was the initial adult figure Ascalon was introduced to, Ascalon often refers to Aine as "Auntie". |

Personal History
| Ascalon Isola was born and raised on Corellia, inheriting Force Sensitivity - and apparently his academic affinity and leanings - from his mother, Amadora Isola. Although he'd never met his biological father, Ascalon is aware that he was an Echani due to his physical characteristics, and that of his older brother's. Ascalon was raised in the bustling capital of Corellia, on the East side of Coronet. Unlike his brother, Ascalon seldom left home due to his uneasiness of the locals, many of which being the hallmark smugglers and pirates entrenched there due to the "hole" in CorSec patrol routes. Ascalon discovered his own Force Sensitivity without realizing it almost a month later; in a dream, Aska found himself surrounded by fires and embers, with the most distinguishable aspect of the dream being three loud thunderclaps which preceded a tornado of flames. Although mentioning it, the significance was not taken as anything more than a simple dream until a repulsor-tram accident occurred, causing a massive fire in a neighboring district. Hours later, the cargo of the tram reached critical mass and detonated; three city-class gyro generators exploded like claps of thunder, and the gravitation distortions destabilized the ambient atmospheric pressures, creating a large fire whirl. It was then that it was realized what Aska saw wasn't a dream, but a Force Vision - a manifestation of precognition. Like his brother, Ascalon was eventually sent away from Corellia to study the ways of the Force with the Jedi Order. Since then, Aska had departed to Tython and had enrolled to become a Jedi Padawan. |
