[ASK] (Training) spar of knights

Raleigh had not seen a good light saber confrontation in a along time and most jedi of his ability were either busy.......or otherwise uninterested. Raleigh really needed to get back into the swing of things as a lightsaber duelist so he had studied all the jedi he could find that would meet his needs in combat. There were some promising Padawans that he was interested in dueling but he was mindful of the judging eyes of his contemporaries. With minds ultra quick to judge, he saw that sparing with padawans even if they had proven themselves to be of questionable merit in the eyes of other jedi. At least this mindset might be looked over if a padawan challenged him to a duel which he would carefully accept and deny.

It was then that he approached a Jedi by the name of Paxson that he had felt to be of well refined combat skill which made him a perfect choice. Exited to get the dueling muscles going in a safe and educative environment, Raleigh was a little ashamed to admit he was exited. Having asked him to meet him in the woods outside Theed, Raleigh meditated in the force and cleared his mind to ready himself for the sparring to come.

Feeling the silky breeze of Naboo touch his skin as he centered himself and allowed the force to give him focus, Raleigh sat on a patch of fallen leafs and twigs among tall trees as he thought the forest would be and interesting location for the match up. Birds chirped in the background as they watched the still knight reflect on the training that was to come, reflecting on his own abilities and on duels in the past he participated in.

Normally meditating wile practicing his telekinesis and saber form, he wanted to meet Paxson ready and fresh so that he could go all out with the jedi as he hoped he would too to test their limits. Knowing that it was simply a full contact spar and not a savage duel, Raleigh had fixed his light saber to be on training saber level so that only burns would come from attacks.

The forests of theeds where full of life. Even so Jack could feel Raleigh. His was strong in the force and Jack could easily feel him. Arriving behind Raleigh Jack waited. He knew that just how he was able to feel him in the force, Raleigh would be able to feel his presence, not to menstion it was rude to interrupt some one in meditation.

Sensing Jack approach was even more grateful then Raleigh believed it would be as he was respectful to wait till he finished meditation. Hoping Jack did not waste any energy coming here as he wanted him at his full ability for a complete challenge, Raleigh soon finished his meditation with a deep and soothing breath as he uncliped his lightsaber as he stood. Stretching to get the feeling of being in a sitting position for too long, Raleigh soon turned to meet Jack face to face and gave him a nod of acknowledgement "thank you for coming. I hope this spar is educational for us both but although it is a full contact confrontation, I hope that we don't rough up each other too much but I doubt nothing a few bandages and a good rest in bed will not heal" Raleigh said as he raised his lightsaber in a neutral form. Standing with both feet apart and with his lightsaber held in front of him with both hands and the tip pointing at Jack, Raleigh was ready to start.

Being skilled in many types of fighting disciplines and styles, Raleigh had brought proxies for all including a training blade that symbolized his anti freak sword that was made to **** into sith spawn flesh. Having retained his blade from 10 years ago as a spawn hunter, Raleigh saw that the sub order had declined....but if he had the knowledge to imbue weapons with the light side then perhaps he could revive the order. It was a long shot but he needed to pitch it the masters aside to finding some one skilled in creating the weapons of the hunters. But for now, Raleigh had a spar to do and he guessed he needed all of his mind in this fight to truly test himself. "ready?"

Jack returned the nod. "Good day and yes this will most surely be educational to both of us." Jack uncliped his lightsaber and ignited it. Turing it to the training level. Holding the lightsaber loosely Jack prepared him self mentally. "I am ready."

Raleigh nodded to Jack's readiness and soon began tha duel with a little trick of his own as he had learned down the years. The second he finished talking, Raleigh expressed mastery of telekinesis and subtlety by suddenly attacking Jack from all directions with rocks from the ground with out even moving a muscle. Prodding his defense with telekinetic attack, Raleigh kept a distance and continued to pelt him with all loose objects to force him into an offence or a force duel.

With out any warning a bubble appeared around Jake and the rocks bounced off it. Then the bubble was gone. There was no point In keeping it active longer than needed.

Protection bubble? Knowing full well the ability and having experienced its weaknesses first hand 10 years ago in his duel against the crafty Della Fray, Raleigh wandered if he could get passed that. just as the barrage of pebbles and fist sized rocks bounced from the bubble, Raleigh drew his training sword from its sheath in top sprint and was on Jake in a split of a second with a jar-kai backed Djem-so assault. Stepping on Jake's foot as he reached him wile keeping his training blade from sight in a reverse grip thanks to his lightsaber's glow, Raleigh slashed Jack in a powerful and fast ark of lightsaber light from his left side of the neck down. Trying to predict Jake's actions through the force and his eyes for the most minute of changes, he knew he would likely try to get pass his quick slash so the plan was to parry with his reverse grip "blade" aiming at his wrist or hand to keep the blade away from the lightsaber's beam. Knowing his anti freak blade could slice through dark side creatures like butter, he was not keen to find out if it could parry sabers so he never used it as such....even if the training blade he held was not his Raphael blade he obtained from the span hunters 10 years ago.

Jake easily moved his foot back to avoided being pinned. Then with his free hand he pushed the lightsaber up long enough for him to duck under it and jump back. Once clear Jake sent a force push towards Raleigh.

Raleigh's assault was relentless after wards as his sense allowed him to feel Jake's muscle movement to allow him to hint that the opposing knight was vying to make a distance. Taking this prediction into account, Raleigh pressed the offensive hard the second he jumped back wile taking advantage of the greater range of choices Jar-kai gave Raleigh despite his lack of mastery. Seeing and sensing his attack with a powerful force push, Raleigh used his reverse blade hand wile empowering himself with the force in a short burst to move even faster then before and parry his force push.

Swatting aside Jake's force push hand with his bladed arm, connecting the mock sword's blade to Jake's wrist, Raleigh redirected the brunt of the blast to the side to only be hit on the side of his face and the shoulder. In one fluid motion, Raleigh aimed to stab Jake on the chest hard with the same force augmentation expressed in his parry but knowing it would have been only a mid wounding stab if it were a fully charged lightsaber and if it landed due to the circumstances placed on him as he would have been swept aside by the mount of the force push he would have been unable to redirect. Due to the circumstances of the duel, a potentially grievous wound was instead replaced by the typical training saber like burn if it landed. Raleigh's muscle control and strength behind the stab was just strong enough to land the wounding blow but with out too much strength for him to not parry a counter attack with the flick of his wrist and elbow.

Flying a few feet of from the push with a loud grunt, Raleigh flipped in the air after being hit on the shoulder but quickly regained his composure after he landed on his feet to see if his wounding strike managed to hit for the slight half of a second before resuming the assault accordingly to what came next.

Has the Jan came for him Jake redirected his hand to be under the blade and sent a powerful push that sent the blade up words. With that done Jake stepped forward and gave a mighty swipe with his lightsaber. It was aimed low. At the same time Jake sent another push aimed at chest hight.

Jake's parry of Raleigh's stab backfired on Jake as when the blade reached t'ward's his chest, the blade was forced up dealing a wound Raleigh was not aiming for. Using his current superior speed and strength due to his burst of valor and speed, the blade was forced up, burning across Jake's chest and part of his face with the nerfed blade leaving a minor burn streak across his face. Raleigh's implemented trakata to switch off his blade and lessen the damage as it happen before him,glad his saber was not at its greatest strength due to possibly having cleaved Jake's face in half if it was at full strength wile remembering that Jake's wrist would have been slit by his parry if he was using his real blade on the off hand unless he had wrist guards.

If Jake were to push pass his burns, Raleigh would have force jumped over him wile chaining the jump with a force push of his own to the back of Jake's head. If it was a real fight, Jake would have been dead by now but the burn across his face was worrying to Raleigh so the fight had to end...now. switching up his lightsaber to show he wanted to end the duel now, Raleigh kept a good eye on Jake if the moment that he were to go berserk happened.
