They've actually found Ewoks are quite clever when the time arises. The time only arises once in a blue moon, though. Rain projected the thought with a rather sarcastic tone. "Why in such a hurry to leave? If you're worried of your safety don't be. The targets have a very distinct pattern that you don't fit in," Rain lied smoothly.

Thanks for making that one easy. I'm not quite good at reading thoughts Hanshin chuckled. "Okay, that's good... I think. Hopefully he'll stay in the pattern." He raised his eyebrow and offered a confused frown. He thought the term Blue Moon was poorly used, as they were speaking of a moon, and a green one no less. "Also," He added, "If a rather shady-looking figure..." Yes i'm aware of my appearance "Looks over a crime scene then leaves quickly, the thought first and foremost in your head is not his safety."

Betty made her way over to the two Jedi and the man they were questioning. She showed her badge to the tall man in the dark cloak. She knew of the fallen jedi and how they presented themselves, but she'd seen them before and she knew this man was no fallen jedi.
Inspector West, Judicial Branch. Do you have information as to the nature of this crime?
She asked the man rather abruptly. All the Jedi she'd ever worked a case with always took their time, dancing about the truth and the reason they were questioning someone. She wanted this over as quickly as possible.

 

[Hanshin]

"Wow, you should be more courteous, Inspector. I don't believe I do, as I don't know any of the details. I just see a dead body and a bunch of important people hanging around, drinking." He nodded towards a pedestrian observing the crime scene, sipping an unknown brew. "Well with that, I think I am entitled to leave now. Unless you need me for something" He attempted a wink, but he screwed up and just blinked.

Betty always knew when someone was lying, she just had an instinct for it and she was always right about it too. She gave the man a questioning look but waved him off anyway.
You're free to go.
She turned to the Jedi and talked in a hushed voice.
I don't think he's got anything to do with this, but I can't stop you guys investigating him if that's what you want to do.

Ryaco looked over to Rain and concentrated on speaking telepathically.

I do not trust this man, something about him feels... bad. Shall we continue investigating?

An idea struck Hanshin in the apparent silence. Considering Jedi were so worried about people going down the dark path... that could be used to his advantage. He quickly noted that if the Jedi was still reading his mind, his idea was about to fail. Putting that aside, he decided to go forward with this. Almost grinning, he thought better of it and shifted his weight. He broke the silence, "You seem to be hesitant, Master Jedi. Anything wrong?"

(Betty does not know about the Sith. They haven't been discovered yet. Just wanna clear that up. ^_^)

I've worked with people who appear to be scum but are actully extremely kind and caring. A person should not be judged by your first feelings on them, Rain told Ryaco to meditate on.

Rain turned to the inspector and whispered, "It depends on what my thoughts later will be. We could easily order him to stay. Alaskan invasion excuse could work."

Rain then turned to the dark-clad man. "Hmmm... Hesitant? No. Just thinking before I act," Rain smiled at his small jab.

Hanshin put on a hurt face. "I wish I had that skill" He then smiled. "Since you've thought, what will you act?" He closed his eyes. That didn't come out right... "I mean." He shrugged. "What will you do?" A speeder passed overhead, blowing his cloak backward a little and showing one of his lightsabers. He shifted his weight, covering it back up. Eh. Just my luck. I might be able to explain that to the Jedi, but the inspector... He pushed away the thought.

A passing sppeder came by and blew back the man's cloak, revealing a shony silver rod, the hilt of a lightsaber. He sensed the man's anxiety as well but ignored it. "How will I act? I will ask you to stay on Coruscant while we investigate you. Such a travelled man could easily have a good alibi so it would not take much time." When Rain said, 'travelled' he glanced at the lightsaber.

 

[Hanshin]

"I see." He sighed. "I guess I won't be leaving anytime soon. How long will this take, and where are you going to hold me?" He was inwardly laughing his head off. Travelled?? What the hell kind of word is that? I can play the stupid substitute game too! "I don't want to disrupt you from investigating more... universally accepted suspects" He glanced over at the Padawan and the Investigator, then grinned at the Master.

Ryaco nodded and turned to the man, watching as a speeder whizzed past and revealed the mans lightsaber hilt.

He instincively put his hand down by his side, just incase.

Something indeed felt strange about this man.

"Tell me." Ryaco said, removing his hand from his side, it seemed pointless.

"How did you come into posession of a lightsaber?"

Hanshin sighed. You're a total idiot, aren't you? Even if I manage to explain it to you Jedi, it's kind of hard to convince an Inspector. "You see, well... um..." He scrached his head. "I kind of... I dunno... built it?" He felt the nicks and grooves in the scrap metal he had made into a lightsaber through his sleeve and robe. "And... um... well. I kind of... wait. Erm." He stuttered.

If Rain hadn't had Jedi training he likely would have laughed his brain out. Luckily, willpower was a strength of his. He waited to see how his Padawan would react.

Betty left the Jedi to do their bussiness as she examined the rest of the crime scene. She kept her eye on them though, she could never be too sure about what might happen when the Jedi started to question people, never mind when they started to question people who carried lightsabers that weren't Jedi.

Ryaco thought back to the moment he had build his lightsaber. It had been extremely difficult with the aid of the force. He doubted that someone could create one without the aid of the force. It would be near impossible.

"Then you were once a Jedi?"
