At The Scene Of The Crime. (OPEN)

Lei nodded gently before putting his hands in his pockets.

"Well I should get going... Gotta get home" Lei kicked the ground with the toe of his foot, it wasn't exactly a lie, he had to get going but he didn't really have a home to go to.

"I'll see you around Ryaco was nice meeting you! Good luck!"

With a wave Lei'Vor walked off.

"You too." Ryaco said, turning as the boy walked off.

He had a feeling they would meet again.

 

[Hanshin]

Hanshin sighed. He walked over to the Padawan. "Wow, you two fit so well together you might be the same age!" He joked. "So, what now?" He looked casually around, surveying the scene. "Since you know what I'm doing, you know that it's absolutely nothing."

Rain sat on what would normally be a two person bench. The fact that Rain was sitting in the middle, had his legs crossed, and was levitaing slightly kept anyone from sitting down with him. He was thinking of anything that could be a clue for the murderer. The same thought kept swirling over and over in his head. Why were the extra wounds there? There were no breakthroughs in thougt and Rain sighed. He floated back down to the cold metal bench and sat for several seconds. He opened his eyes and stood up, walking into the large crowd of people walking to various places.

He took out the communicator Betty had given him and asked, "What was the name of that poison, I'd like to research it."

"Don't stop living you're life because of me, Hanshin." Ryaco said sternly.

"I'm just making sure you don't leave Curoscant."

 

[Hanshin]

Hanshin let out a small laugh. "Living my life consisted of leaving Coruscant and figuring out how to stop using the Force involuntarily. One of them is now impossible, and the other sure feels impossible." He leaned his head back in his hands and shrugged. "I'm one of those people that makes it up as I go along, so I was going to decide what to do next after I left." And since I tried my best to sever all the ties to my past... He added silently to himself.

Betty finished clearing up her kit and oversaw the removal of the body. After a short while she once again approached the two Jedi and their 'suspect'.
Master Jedi. I must return to my offices now. I would inform you that this investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Republic Judicial Branch. Any information attained by the Jedi as to the whereabots or identity of the killer known as the Sapphire Rose must be reported to me. The Jedi have not yet been requested to aid in this investigation, so please contact me should you find anything that may be of use.
She managed to speak with no malice or show her mild annoyance that the Jedi had deemed it upon themselves to investigate these crimes. She handed over a small communications device that would allow them to contact her directly no matter where they were in the galaxy as it would tap into the Republic information net.

The communicator hissed for a moment, almost as though it wasn't working. Then came the voice of the Inspector;
I'll have to get back to you on that. I'm rather busy at the moment.
Then the communicator went dead.

Rain put the communicator back in his pocket and sighed. He'd have to do it by himself. He continued walking and made his way to the Jedi Monostary to look in the Jedi archives. An hour later he had a list of known sellers of the poison. He narrowed it down to about ten. Knowing it would take awhile to do all ten he decided to ask for Ryaco's help. He found the boy's mind in the crowds of people and said, I'm here for two reasons. One, to check how you're doing with Hanshin and two, to give you a list of places to investigate for a certain toxin. Rain then read Ryaco several addresses and told him the name of the poison. Keep Hanshin with you but make sure he doesn't interfere with the investigation. Rain then went to check out the remaining locations.

Ryaco recieved the telpathic message and agreed to look.

He walked over to Hanshin, who was seated nearby and motioned for him to stand.

"Lets go, I've got something to do." He said, pulling his hood over his face and walking into the croud of people.

 

[Hanshin]

Hanshin stood up with a plastered-on happy face. "Oh, really? That's good. Can I help?" He said this in a sarcastic manner, not really believing he would be permitted to. He set up to follow the padawan, and wondered what he would get to watch his protector--no--captor doing. That still wasn't just the right word, but he dismissed that train of thought as it was totally useless and boring.

"We've told you 1,000 times! We did not sell poison to the murderer!" the human shoted at Rain and began to slam the door in his face.

Rain caught the man's arm and said waved his hand infront of his face as he asked, "Have you dealt with the murderer?" layering his voice with the Force.

"We have not," the man replied in a monotone voice.

"Thank you, sir," Rain said as he turned to leave.

Rain checked off that place as a possible seller. The pungent air of Coruscant attacked his nose as he stepped outside and established a mental link with Ryaco. Just checking in on you. How many places have you checked out so far? I'm on my way to my last one right now. When we're done we'll meet at... Rain took a moment to look for a suitable place and eventually told Ryaco the name of a small cafe.

Ryaco peacefully knocked on the door of the last house on his list, the last had been relatively easy... all the locations had given records of sales and a complete list of products sold, none had sold any of the poison recently.

He knocked again after getting no answer.

The door suddenly opened slightly to reveal a simple chain lock keeping the door locked from the inside, a man was now peering through the gap.

"Good evening, I would like to check the records of a certain product you sell." Ryaco said calmly, examining the man through the gap, who was obviously nervous.

"Sorry, we're closed." The man replied, staring at Ryaco.

"Unless you want me to force my way in I suggest you open the door."

"Yeah, good luck Buddy, now piss off. I didn't sell no poison to anyone."

"I didn't say anything about poison." Ryaco said, reaching out with the force and slowly unlocking the door.

"Oh... well, um. Please, just leave."

The door suddenly clicked as the chain fell off the lock, Ryaco slammed his palm into the door, sending it flying open and knocking the man to the floor.

He ignited his lightsaber and held it by his side, not intending to harm the man.

"Now. The records, please."

Ryaco read through the list, there were two people who had purchased the poison recently... he figured Rain would like to know both names.

Just checking in on you. How many places have you checked out so far? I'm on my way to my last one right now. When we're done we'll meet here.

Ryaco received the message and concentrated on the link.

I have two names from the last store on the list, I'm making my way to the café now.

Ryaco turned to the man, who was packing the files away.

"Thank you for you're time." Ryaco said, before walking out the door and turning to Hanshin.

"We're done here. Lets go."

The names intruiged Rain. First results they'd gotten. He began walking faster to the final location. Several minutes later he stepped out of the building with no new names. Ryaco's had been the only results.

As he walked to the café he took out the communicator Betty had given him and said, "Betty we have two possible suspects. Run the names Cyrinity Arlos and Rangu Ando through your database." He put the communicator back in his pocket and several minutes later he entered the café and saw Ryaco and Hanshin sitting at a table.

Rain smiled at Ryaco and said, "You're names were the only results. I gave them to Betty so we'll wait for her reply before we continue. They may want us to take reinforcements." The Jedi turned to Hanshin and said, "I ran your name through all the databases I found and didn't find sales to you. Go as you please."
