ATTN: One Master Position Left

Hi, folks.

So far we've filled three out of four of our Jedi Master slots. We are currently searching for one more Master, but after that the rank of Jedi Master will be closed to applications. Anyone else seeking the rank is going to be required to rank up the old-fashioned way.

=P would have been nice to have kept the Master rank but oh well. Back to taking Padawans haha, at least the system is more 'free' I suppose.

We're enforcing lower ranks and training more people because it really aids in the development of the character, and it keeps the upper echelons of the Order from being flooded by inexperienced or unprepared Masters. This new timeline is being eased into, and all of the members of the Order still have a good chance of becoming a Master eventually if they pour hard work and dedication into the cause. :)

The position has been tentatively filled. More information tomorrow.

You guys are ****ing egg-headed morons for not giving Garuga his master position. He's done more than 90% of the idiots that did **** all and Garuga signed up for every battle. He, Will and Malon were easily the top Jedi people. Look where Will and Malon are and Garuga can't even keep a position he legit earned.

Hi Sreeya,

We meant no personal offense to you or Garuga, and we respect the efforts that all former Masters put into their profiles and the last timeline. Unfortunately, we set a limit at four masters to be appointed by each Councilor, and we are sticking with that. There were other applications as well that were possibly worth of being deemed Master, but we've made our decisions and we feel that this is the best path of action to take for the benefit of the New Jedi Order.

We talked about the fact that people who had been one rank before would likely not get that rank again, especially if they were Jedi Masters. Will also made it clear in public that while your rank from the last timeline would be influential it was by no means a determining factor. This holds true for everyone. There are a number of people who had a higher rank than they do now who earned that rank, but they don't have it because we went with Sreeya's idea to limit the number of Masters and have people, regardless of their previous rank, start at the bottom or as a Knight.

The individuals we picked as Masters were picked for specific purposes. Each of the four Jedi Masters serves under one Jedi Councilor (not counting Will), so we took into account their specific RPing talents and specializations in order to choose them for the appropriate specialized Councilor they will work with. We didn't choose people because we liked them better, because they were our friends, or for any other reason other than what I just mentioned. There were a number of people we talked about who weren't chosen.

Knight to Master training will not be overly difficult. Those who are not a Jedi Master now will be able to find themselves being promoted fairly quickly with enough activity and effort, and I don't see that being an issue for anyone who wants to go for the rank.

I think boli intended to make a replacement Master character that would be easier for him to RP...if my convos with him are any indication, he found RPing a Jawa to be significantly more difficult than he expected.
