Autumn
When I first left my people and entered the galaxy, it was for vengeance. My people were attacked by force wielders before the war, men and women alike who used lightsabers. In my search for vengeance I left what little I had behind to seek out those who had brought pain and misery to my people. I was a woman who had nothing. At least that fact hasn't changed.

I wandered the galaxy for a time, learning the ways of the galaxy and learning what I could of those that had wronged my people. However it proved that the blame could potentially rest on either the Jedi Knights or their dark cousins. Over time I came to terms with my grief and my loss, and turned away from revenge. It was looking after a strange Taen child that saved me - Elliot.

In my youth, on my homeworld of Tae'Sha, I had spent much time working around and with our starships, large and primitive compared to those seen in the rest of the galaxy, though my unique perspective on design proved useful for the now defunct Jade Galactic, where I worked to provide food and shelter for the boy and myself, rising quickly to become head of starship design. Such peace was short lived, however. Jade Galactic soon rose in power and their ambitions became too great. I fled as the entire company was declared an enemy to the Republic, taking what little we could back towards the Core Worlds. Elliot I left to what I hoped would be a better fate. I haven't seen him since.

There was little work in privateer starship design, so I looked elsewhere into new channels. The answer seemed to lie in the Republic Navy. Worn down by the so-far grim outcome of the war, the Republic was desperately short of experienced naval officers. Though I had limited experience in fleet command, my unique expertise on ship design as well as my other...native talents, proved their own worth, at least enough to be considered.

All things considered, it's not exactly how I planned my life out, but it's a start.

I love it. Well, except for the pic. That still creeps me out.

Nice. We need more naval commanders.

The aim with Autumn as a naval commander is to return to more conventional and in-universe naval warfare more realistic to how the Republic navy theoreticaly would and should operate, focusing more on tactics morale and completion of objectives and major objectives rather than absurd weaponry and complete annihilation of enemy forces.

Ill probably get raped trying to do so but Im that fed up with current trends in naval combat I feel the need to try and enforce a change towards the plausible.

I'm sure there is some silly stuff and I'm probably guilty of it as well, but I can't think of any battle where any enemy forces actually got annihilated.

Anyways, it'll probably be nice to have more people in the Republic adding some "realism"(as much as we can with a type of warfare that's never actually occurred). And maybe the Tae perspective might add something to the RP, especially if we come across the Alsakan Restoration movement.

Do you take everything completely and totally literally on purpose?

Annihilation is probably the wrong term to use but both sides have a tendency to let themselves lose far more forces than they should before considering withdrawal, leaving massive holes in their fleet structure and requiring a lot of time to rebuild their numbers in protected space when they could be better utilized by being deployed in numerous minor strikes in that time.

Tae - a custom race I made myself. For more information click my signature pic - it's in there somewhere.

EDIT: For the time change I'm rewriting my profiles and redoing the Templars faction, so I'll be sure to include more easily accessible write-ups on the Tae in the future.

as well as changing the pitch of the battle field and taking back our ability to control when and how things are fought...

and you have experience doing both and the above.

I mean....the Sith were in a worse situation back then, and look how that turned around, I'm just hoping we can make lightning strike twice.

this time for the good guys though....
