- Bounty: Giblar Xoffi and the Xoffi gang.
- Giblar Xoffi is a con man turned gang leader and is fast becoming a warlord neighboring Mandalorian space. He wishes to gain power by manipulating the public on Bandomeer and even intends to run for office if given the chance. Giblar and his men have been seizing supplies and property under the guise of other local groups and then metaphorically and literally fanning the flames afterwards. Other acts of sabotage against agricultural equipment are believed to be their doing. Dozens of mercenaries and well armed thugs are on Giblar’s payroll so use caution when taking them on.
- Assets assigned: 2 Kom’rk transports and a 24 Mandalorian compliment.
- Payout per teammate: 25,000 credits
- Wanted: Dead or alive.
A pair of Kom'rk starfighters flew through the blew tunnel of hyperspace as they drew closer to Bandomeer. The two multi-role starfighter transports each held a dozen diversely decorated Mandalorian warriors. Each of them were well armed and prepared for the mission ahead.
Hokaan Veren stood among them and double checked his ammunition. He had a blaster carbine, his two side arms and a magthumper grenade launcher slung on his back. The phoenix badger was heavily armed and armored. Unlike many of the warriors present, Hokaan was not equipped with a jetpack. But he expected them to not make a fullscale planetary assualt when they arrived.
Clearing his throat, Hokaan prepared to the warriors present in his ship and had the pilot connect a channel to the sister ship. He had lead a squadron of starfighters against the Hapan ships over Kashyyyk and was now trying to lead a more nuanced group of Mandalorians in a slightly more delicate scinario. This was different than an open full scale battle.
<"Listen up."> He ordered in Mando'a. Some might ask for attention but Hokaan demanded it.<"We'll be arriving soon at Bandomeer. Now some of you were there when we moved on Ploo IV. Basically it's the same deal here only our target isn't being blatant about his take over of the planet."> He tapped the control to have a holoimage of Giblar Xoffi appear in front of them. Each of them had already been briefed and had time to research the planet ahead of time but this was as good of a time as any to give people a reminder and set a tone. <"That means minimal civilian casualties, no collateral damage, and be professional. Remember, we're the good guys. When in doubt, use stun settings on your blasters."> Rancor Squadron was a breed of supercommando that was trying to be better than everything that came before it. So far each engagement had resulted in minimal Mandalorian losses and Hokaan hoped to keep that trend running. Good public relations and internal morale were essential for their continued success.
The Veren clan membered continued without skipping a beat. <"We will be in a densely populated area and I don't need to remind you that Bandomeer neighbor's Mandalorian space. This is our opportunity to show how well we work together. The enemy out number us probably ten to one and most of them look like your average galactic citizen most of the time so only fire if you're sure you've got it right. We don't need the holonet branding us as mass murders...again."> Mandalorians had a history of doing the dirty work of other factions and being the scapegoat for catastrophes. Hokaan knew he would be responsible for the warriors under his direction. <"Ideally we'll be in and out without spending a full rotation. Worst case we spend a long weekend here and do our due diligence."> Hokaan also hoped they did not need to call for reinforcements. As isolated and backwater a planet Bandomeer was, the world had its fair share of stubborn battles. This job was rated for them to maybe tangle with some combat speeders but not much more. But there was always a chance a criminal like Giblar would have some connections to the black market and the military grade hardware available.
