It's also pretty exploitive of Snyder to use the 9/11 and Katrina imagery like that. And to use a white family for their Katrina parallel.
...bizarre, much?

However, this movie is about Batman and Superman punching each other so I will be there.
You could easily make the argument that Batman has the same capabilities just through a different medium. Throughout the comics, Batman has always held more cards in his hand than any of the other heroes he deals with, especially the Justice League. Hell, there's an entire arc where Batman has contingencies to eliminate each member of the League if they should ever stop being defenders of justice and they start to utilize their abilities for evil or personal gains. Now I use the term justice here loosely, because it's Batman's idea of what justice should be.Me personally, I'm all for Bruce Wayne's logic.
Superman has the power to destroy the world. Anyone with that power, whether good intentioned or not, does not have the right, nor should have the right, to exist.

Batman is a vigilante with personal vendettas, personal prejudices and a lone-wolf mindset. He is just as dangerous as Superman to the world at large, just not in the "i can punch through your whole planet" kind of way but the "espionage, intelligence, and backstabbery" kind of way. The only reason he's not viewed as being as dangerous as Supes is obvious, but it's incorrect. The rhino is a dangerous animal, sure. But his methods are obvious and the plan to take him out is pretty straightforward. Batman is a mamba, a black widow, or a stalking cat - if he wants you dead, you'll be lights out before you realize what the hell is even going on.
An evil Batman is infinitely more frightening than an evil Superman, at least to me.
I cannot overstate how gravely the implications expressed here disturb meMe personally, I'm all for Bruce Wayne's logic.
