[Grace Zann]

"What the actual Kriff!?" Grace would shout in shock, as both Tyr'din was shot down and Harleen fired on herself!? Did she not think to turn the corvette first? The bad news only got worse as the Bravebird somehow managed to avoid ever single attack thrown against it. The other ship (@AutoFox), also managed to avoid the heavy laster fire, to the surprise of very few...

Without Tyr'din in the air, morale from the Zann Interceptors was already falling. They were outnumbered. Grace would shout orders to her bridges' comm operator. "Tell all personnel to evacuate the drive yards. Now!" The lead operator would give her a nod back, confirming the order. Meanwhile, the mercenary forces continued their advance. Unfortunately, there were few things standing between them and Grace's corvette...

Knowing that defeat was imminent, she would move to damage control. "Everyone. Redirect power to the sheilds! We have no choice but to--" Her orders would be cut off by the sound of a bomb impacting the engines. Just their damn luck. Several more booms would follow, and despite the power of the ship's sheilds, the crusader was beginning to struggle. The light cannons of her vessel would begin firing into the various fighters, but it was all in vein. The engines were on fire, and her corvette would begin falling from the sky...

 

[Harleen]

Harleen began to push the ship forward, its engine kicking in full, The gunners, especially those responsible for the bottom mounted guns, had opened full bore, a full wing worth of targets easy to spray upon, batting down incoming (NPC) ships left and right, though more and more got through as Harleen began to push the Corvette away.

Then a single X-wing, if still dedicated to his approach, would need to fly upside down under the belly of the corvette to get to the front windows of her corvette, in doing so would require it to fly through the currently firing cannons, and make the course of movement highly dangerous, and potentially deadly to attempt, as the ship's guns began firing down upon the area the X-wing would need to fly through, preventing, for the moment at least, its attack on the corvette.

Grace's ship had taken a hit, and Harleen had heard her call for an evacuation, they'd be abandoning the shipyards.. at least for now, as her corvette had lost most of its top mounted guns, Harleen began to evacuate the area pushing up toward the atmosphere of the planet.

Keep the Tractor beams ready, if anything comes up here, snatch it.. Harleen ordered her crew, as she kept pushing to leave the planet behind, with two dedicated gunners on each beam, if anything came within range they'd be able to hold it still with their tractor beams, preventing an additional approach, all while continuing the assault with its bottom mounted cannons.

 

[Aden Archer]

With the combined assault between Bravebird and Ears, the corvette would start to be falling with it's engines on fire "Good work Ears" he said. Aden and Ears were safe from the corvette's laser cannon fire due to being in it's blind spots, but it did score hits on some of the Cutlass fighters, doing damage to some, downing others. The some of the others were trying to avoid turbolaser fire from the other corvette. Aden didn't think much about the common mercenaries in the wing, he was primarily concerned with himself and his acquaintances more so. Plus, the dead can't be paid right? Is that how it works?

Aden kept his speed low and took in the battlefield above ground, he saw that the other corvette was beginning to leave into the atmosphere. The veteran pilot would then take of his rebreather and then push up his visor and breathe a sigh of relief, the fight is coming to a close, and the gunner in Aden's ship would then inform him of what he is seeing "They are evacuating. Want me to shoot them?" Aden would then answer "Negative, let them go. We are just here for the shipyards." Aden would then comm to the rest of the mercs "Attention all raider craft, no need to pursue the Consortium ships. Try to disengage and form up on me." Bravebird addressed them as flight leader. The shipyards are next.

Aden would be ready to turn his ship around towards the direction of the shipyards, but he wanted to be ready should the Consortium vessels keep trying to engage. Anyways, Aden may have used up three of his bombs, but his Y-Wing still has plenty of bombs left, to say nothing of the other ships and their high explosive missiles, or in the case of Ears, one big laser cannon.

[Zhaan Duran]

With only slow-tracking turbolasers left to fend off Corsair, this Crusader II had little left to fend off the nimble X-wing. Unfocused fire from guns that couldn't turn fast to target him only slowed him down at best. Heavy bolts flew wide from their intended targets, none hitting the X-wing. Firing at a whole wing with a pair of guns meant to target corvettes did scatter them, even downing a couple, but it was far from precision or rapid-fire discouragement.

Not to mention the sheer amount of Cutlass fire and missiles that'd also be coming in the entire time.

Duran still flew his ship up along the side and fired his torpedoes, but he'd had to dodge one spitefully-accurate shot from the chin gun that'd clearly been waiting for him on his way up. Corsair's missiles would instead strike behind the bridge itself, detonating against the much thicker bow plating instead of the window. Nasty-looking damage, but almost purely cosmetic. Zhaan clicked his tongue irritably and banked, sharply turning his vessel into his loop to try again.

Then new orders came in; the defending ships were either retreating or crashing. Good enough, he decided! "Copy, Bravebird. Winging clear." Corsair flew beneath the Crusader 2's metal wing, keeping to the massive blindspot between its various guns, and changed course to meet back up with Bravebird and Ears past the two corvettes.

Zhaan flicked a switch to arm the next pair of HE missiles along the way. With the defenders wounded, either crashing or limping away, the shipyard itself was wide open. "Full sweep, ladies and gentlemen. Let's get paid." As an added bonus, the corvettes were facing fully away from the raiding wing and their target. None of the guns could target them on the retreat in any reliable way.

[Helen Holcomb]

Helen gave another feral grin as the enemy corvettes turned and began moving off, watching them as they retreated. The Lepi followed Bravebird's trajectory, keeping in the Crusader variant's blind spot. She fought the urge to swoop in and do some damage anyway; she had come here to hurt the Syndicates, and letting two of their warships go seemed unwise at best. Even so, she decided to hold off for the moment.

Other opportunities to hurt the slavers would arise, she was sure of that much.

"Ears, copy that Bravebird. Falling in on your beacon."

Helen was careful to stay out of either of the corvettes' potential lines of fire, but they were rapidly disengaging and were already beyond the effective range of any weapons capable of reliably engaging her ship. Reaching up, she adjusted her targeting computer to target designation mode, and transmitted the resulting data to her allies.

"All ships, marking targets! Fire at your discretion but make sure these go down! We don't want the Zann to be able to roll back in and fix this place after we leave!"

[Aden Archer]

With nothing left in the raider wing's way, the attackers were free to begin their attack run on the shipyard complex. The Cutlasses were able to cause a good amount of damage on their own with their laser cannons and high explosive missiles as they attack made their attacks. Explosions would ring out across as buildings were being destroyed. With Aden's Y-Wing, he would fire off proton bombs from it and when they would arc down they would cause big, powerful explosions, and he never missed his mark, he made every bomb left count and used every one of them to great effect. With the combined firepower of his bomber craft, his partners, the whole shipyards would be destroyed.

The people evacuating would be able to escape for the most part. Aden wasn't aware of any third parties that infiltrated the shipyards because he was hawk-focused on the battle overhead, but they would have time to get out of as well after getting what they came for.

One last time after exhausting his craft's payload, Bravebird would fly over the shipyards and spin his craft and look out the canopy taking in the devastation. Truth be told Aden didn't feel one way or another about the Zann Consortium, it was nothing personal. Aden just accepted a job and he was going to carry it out.

With the shipyards destroyed, Aden now relaxed, would then star flying with his craft pointed diagonally up at a steady speed. The veteran pilot would sigh, as it's over. The job is done, the raiders have done what they came to do. The Cutlass raiders would be flying quite a bit beneath Aden's ship but all heading the same way. Aden would then comm to all the craft "Bravebird here. We're heading out, all aircraft report." Truth be told, Aden always wanted to say this. The main people involved would be up first, and then the Cutlasses following them. This would give an accounting of who survived this raid and who didn't.

Aden needs to report the job is done and return the Y-Wing from who he borrowed it from, and do that favor for him. Ugh.

After the all clear was given by his ship's instruments and confirmation from his astromech droid, Aden would push some buttons on his dash and pull a lever, then see blue streaks through his viewport and he would be off to lightspeed, leaving the Kowak system.

[Grace Zann]

Things could not have gone much worse... At least the crusader was still in one piece. Grace would need to go to Hypori and find back up at this rate. Somehow these mercenaries managed to outgun them. "Set course for Hypori, we will return shortly..." She would announce to the bridge. The various mercenary pilots would begin plotting a course, but with heavy hearts and broken morale. How did a crew of fighters manage to outclass a set of corvettes? Those must have been the best pilots in the outer rim.

The crusader would begin flying upward toward the atmosphere, and would quickly bolt off into hyperspace.
