It was a day marked by chilled winds and cloudy skies on Belasco. Thanks to the rapidly approaching winter months, the warm salty breeze from the Great Sea had shifted with the changes in temperature, cooling the seaside city to a chilly forty-some degrees. It wasn't unbearable—even with the wind chill the temperature had yet to dip below freezing—but it was clear the citizens of Senta hadn't all gotten the memo yet. Half of them wore winter coats, half of them still figured shorts would be alright, and half took one look outside and decided today was not their day.
Korre never minded the cold weather. She liked how the wind bit against her skin, like little kisses of ice whenever it brushed against her cheek. She especially liked the reemerging winter fashion. There was nothing more cozy than a wool coat, a turtleneck, and a pair of nice, thick pants. In fact, that was exactly what she wore. The all black ensemble was broken up by the warm brown coat, which played up the ginger color of her hair.
Now that Korre had somewhat settled into her position as Prime Minister, she figured it was time to establish a relationship with the one galactic leader she had yet to meet with. She had met with the Jedi grandmaster just before the Galactic Senate, and though she and Emil had not spoken since she was a senator, they had met once before. That left only one person—President Thorne.
The Belascan woman had invited the man to tour the National Museum of Science and History in Senta, Belasco's capital, with her. Though she ran the chance of the tabloids losing their marbles over their meeting, Korre wasn't entirely worried about it. They were bound to to put something in the tabloids about her eventually anyways. Korre had already gotten clearance for Emryc ahead of time—he was already vaccinated—so the man would not be subjected to the usual health screenings and ship scans others would have to go through. She had done the same for Ilana and even Alex.
The Prime Minister waited patiently just inside the museum, biding her time as she sipped every so often from the lip of her coffee cup. On this particular day of the week at the museum opened early for private tours. Korre had been "lucky" enough to snag them one for the morning. She was looking forward to this meeting; she was incredibly curious about this ISC president.
