HD-wallpaper-abandoned-city-town-darkness-birds-scary-fantasy.jpg

The cry of crows echoed through the dead streets, rain continuously poured down bouncing off half broken roof tops into smashed gutters, pooling in the streets creating rivers of mud. The hem of Wodan’s thick black cloak was soaked to the knee in the reddish brown mud of this forsaken planet. Both he and Carellion had arrived on a private shuttle an hour ago, but the dense nature of the abandoned city meant they had to land upon its outskirts.

Probe droids had gone ahead, looking for signs of life, although none were detected the Probe’s themselves had never returned to the ship. That and the thick odour of the Dark Side prevalent here, ran shivers down the Firrerrian’s spine. A large part of him wanted to walk back up the durasteel ramp, sit down in the pilot’s chair and send themselves right back up into space and down a hyperlane to home. But he couldn’t, Wodan would have to learn to stomach such places if he was to truly thrive within the Sith. Darkness was their home, Korriban was filled with it, but it was more alive and thriving than this wretched hell hole.

“I bet you regret agreeing to come.” He said, turning to face the Annfyn next to him, a cheeky smirk on his face. The cloak’s hood was pulled up over his head, keeping his as dry as possible, but it would mean Carellion could only see the Firrerrian’s fanged smile in the darkness. The moon was out that night, brighter than most planets, it lit most of the ruined city in a dim grey light.

Turning a corner they stopped on one of the larger open squares within the city, it was still too small to land a spaceborn shuttle, but the freedom from the overhanging buildings was a relief to the Noble. Ever since they stepped foot within the city he had felt as if a thousand eyes were watching his every move.

The village wasn’t one of the most pleasant places that Caerllion ever visited. It seemed to be totally devoid of any signal of life, besides for some crows crying in the distance. Every corner of the area was flooded with Darkness, which sent shivers through the Annfyn’s body.

Unlike his fellow Acolyte, his shivers were from excitement. Since his baptism in the ichors of Korriban, Caerllion could feel how his magick seemed to increase when he was in a place with great presence of the Dark Side.

Of course, his sorcery would still be at the strongest in Korriban. It was interesting how he had developed a sense of longing for the planet, like how he felt about Annwfyn. He needed to find some time to visit it, perhaps to practice some of his magick in the place from where he drew his powers.

While he walked with Wodan, Caerllion’s pants became soaked with mud. By this point he didn’t mind that anymore. It seemed to be so silly if compared with his last experiences. At least it was a village and not some type of swamp, full of giant spiders. He could deal with any creature that came to face them, less with these arachnids.

Not so much. The place can be shit, but the company compensates for that.” the Annfyn had started to feel good around Wodan. The Firrerreo was competent and could make a good conversation, very different from the crybaby that he thought that the other Acolyte was. He wouldn't mind having more missions with someone like him.

When they stopped in one of the squares, the Annfyn noticed how Wodan seemed to be distraught. Like him, Caerllion also had the impression that they were being watched. He had used his magick to find any signal of sentient life, but it didn’t detect anything. “So, where do we go now?

Wodan couldn’t help but chuckle at Carellion’s comment. “I have heard I am excellent company.” He said just as they entered the clearing. The Firrerrian shivered as the cold of the night seemed to catch up with him, it was that or someone had walked upon his grave. Turning to face the Annfyn, he pulled out a small holo device from under the heavy wool cloak.

With a press of a button a light blue hologram of the city appeared on the ground between the two. A small red light flashed in one of the small squares indicating the pair's location. “To be honest, I have no fucking clue. The only details I could get are old and just led us to the planet and this little hell hole, nothing beyond that.” Looking up and around the desolate place, he struggled to imagine it full of life and wonder. “I mean according to the recordings, this place is full of life and a great trading city. I doubt anyone has been here in what, twenty years?”

His eyes turned back to the map, there were a few more clearing further towards the centre, also a number of large buildings in what he expected was the older part of the city. “Your magic senses tingling at all?” He asked.

While he studied the map, Caerllion also paid close attention to what the Firrerreo was telling him. “If the recordings say that this place was a great trading city, then they aren’t updated for at least a century.” there is no way that this place could have any importance for trade. “Whatever happened, people completely abandoned it.

After you sent the probes, I used it to scan the place. Beyond some animals, there is no sign of sentient life.” he said, answering Wodan’s question about his magick. “But, it feel really happy being at this place. The dark presence here is so strong that it reminds me of Korriban.” by this point the Firrerreo would have noticed that too, any Force user would have felt that.

Even if they were Sith and Darkness was part of their way, Caerllion thought that they still needed to be careful in a place so full of it. He still remembers Vex’s lessons about not letting himself be consumed by it. This could cause more problems than bring any benefit.

Changing topic for a moment. What did you do after that party on the yacht? I heard that you are going to become a Champion.” it was probably strange to make a small conversation in the middle of an abandoned city, but he rarely had time to talk with Wodan about things that weren’t related to a mission.

Have you been with Arla these days?” he asked, curious and jealous about the answer. After all he still remembers that the Firrerreo slept with her during that time on the yacht.

Wodan looked up and gave the Annfyn a worrying look. “It was updated thirty years ago.” All of this decay and destruction had happened in such a short time, it was unnatural to say the least. The thick taste of the Dark Side all around them gave Wodan an idea of what helped speed along the desolation. “Which is concerning, I have felt as if we have been watched ever since we stepped off the shuttle.” As he spoke he turned on the spot looking up into the windows of the surrounding buildings. They were all dark and void of life, but Wodan was sure they were not alone.

A smile reached his lips when he mentioned the Dathmorian. “I haven’t had the chance to see her since, though I have tried, we both seem to always be on the other side of the galaxy to each other. Perhaps after this hell hole, we might finally be in the same sector for more than a minute.” Pressing a button on the holo projector the small map disappeared from view, darkening the ground around their feet. Placing the instrument back inside his cloak, he pulled out a small flask unfastening the top he took a swig before passing it to the Annfyn.

“Black Alley Rum, help keep the cold off.” He informed Carellion, if he took it he would continue talking, otherwise he would just shrug and put it away. “News travels fast in the Empire, I am just waiting for the final confirmation from the Order itself, but yea moving up in the world it seems. How about yourself, you should be catching up soon?”

Thirty years?” he said in disbelief. The place looked like it had been abandoned longer than that. It was like the people simply became smoke and disappeared in thin air. “I have the same feeling. If I hadn't used my magick, I would have thought that the probes were wrong.” he stared at the window to where Wodan was also looking. There was nothing here.

Caerllion noticed the smile that appeared at Wodan’s lips when he mentioned Arla. The Acolyte felt the jealousy growing inside him. It was stupid from his part to feel this way, since he had nothing with the Champion beside doing some missions together. “I went with her on a mission to Collumex. She is amazing! I hope to see her again someday.

Do you know? Maybe the three of us could work together. I think that we could do some good things by joining our Forces. Arla’s knowledge in the arcane, my diplomatic skills and your pretty face!” he said playfully, while giving the Firrerreo a wink. “We would be an incredible trio! Maybe even Darth Raze could be impressed.” the Acolyte doubted that anything could impress the Sith Lord, but it added more fun to his joke.

The Annfyn accepted the flask that Wodan offered to him and drank some of it. He ended up coughing a bit due to it. “It’s pretty strong.” he gave it back to the Firrerreo. “Yes, I also signed up for a promotion. Hopefully I’ll be your fellow Champion in some months.

“I will be down in the Southern Reaches after this, so if you two care to join me down there. Then I would be more than happy to have you both with me.” He said, distracted for a moment as he looked around the ruined city, before getting the cheeky hint. Turning to the Annfyn he smirked. “I am sure we could find something that will suit all of our talents. Though I doubt the old bastard is impressed by anything these days.” Wodan’s hate of the man still remained but he was trying to channel it into something more than just desire for his murder.

Taking back the flask he took another swig himself, before the lid back on and hid it under his cloak. Wodan was genuinely pleased that Carellion had applied for the promotion to Champion as well. Patting him on the shoulder, he sounded genuinely pleased as he congratulated the man. “The Galaxy will soon be our oyster.”

The happy moment was quickly washed away by a feeling of dread, it washed over the small clearing like a wave. Wodan’s eyes and body was drawn to the epicentre of the crashing Darkness, slowly crawling its way into the clearing was a dark thing, Wodan struggled to even make sense of the mound of flesh, what was it? Or what had it been? All he knew is that the malice that flowed from the thing was directed at the pair. No matter what happened next it would result in the death of either the pair or the ‘thing’.

Wodan pushed back his cloak and grabbed hold of his lightsaber, igniting the red blade.

I’ll be there!” he answered, while wondering why Wodan was going to operate on this part of the Galaxy. The only explanation was that he wanted to bring it for the Empire. “I could also use some help. As soon as I become a Champion, I plan to set some things in motion in my homeworld. Perhaps you could give me a hand.

Yes, our oyster.” he agreed with Wodan, a smile appearing at his lips. While the Galaxy could be the oyster, Caerllion already knew that Annwfyn was going to be the pearl that he wanted. “Who knows, maybe I’ll give some support in the next invasion that you lead. But don’t take it as a promise, my battlefield is in diplomacy!

Like the Firrereo, Caerllion was also hit by the sudden wave of dread and Darkness. This time his magick didn’t feel pleased, but felt the anticipation of a battle. He turned to look at where it was coming from and saw a bizarre creature, which seemed to be a mount of flesh with several arms.

What in all hells is this thing?” he didn’t expect that Wodan was going to have an answer, but the question escaped his lips before he could think much about it. Whatever it was, didn’t seem to be a friend. The Annfyn could feel the malice coming from it. Without any doubt the thing wanted to kill the two.

Rather than picking his lightsaber, the Acolyte stretched his hands toward the creature. After murmuring an enchantment in Ancient Sith, he sent a powerful blast of red energy against it. If it worked, the energy would collide against the thing and make it explode.

“I would assume it's part of the reason his place is abandoned.” He replied, spinning the saber in his hand relaxing tense muscles as he began approaching the creature. Wodan could feel the energies of The Force condense around the Annfyn, he didn’t look back but he assumed he was tapping into the Magicks his Master had taught him.

His assumption was confirmed a second later when a powerful ball of red energy shot past his shoulder crashing into the side of the creature. The Magick exploded into a violent torrent of flame as it washed over the creature, it let out a piercing scream which echoed around the plaza. Wodan paused in his step, had Carellion resolved this in one shot?

As the flames dissipated however the creature was still there, moving towards the pair. A large part of it was missing where Caelian hit it, black ooze pouring from the wound, steaming as the night's rain came into contact. As Wodan got closer, the creature began to speed up, but it was clearly not interested in the Firrerrian, its white eyes locked onto the Annfyn. A thin boney arm shot out at Wodan as it passed, a wicked knife clutched in its hand, spinning his blade to the left he was able to deflect the blow. But he was now behind the creature as he charged towards his friend.

“Fuck.” He shouted, before setting into his own run. He was able to quickly catch up to the thing, his lightsaber dancing out to slice through its back set of legs, serving one through the bone.

Caerllion watched with satisfaction while his blast of magick collided against the creature. The following explosion and the thing’s screams made the Acolyte smile. It seemed that he had solved the problem. “It was easier than I thought that it was going to be.

By this point, Caerllion should have learned that nothing in his missions were going to be easy. As soon as the flames disappeared, the creature ran toward the two Acolytes. While his attack had been enough to cause a large wound, the thing was still prepared to kill them. The Annfyn could also feel how it became even more furious.

The Annfyn watched Wodan run toward the creature, but it seemed to be more interested in him than in the Firrerreo. His fellow Acolyte used his lightsaber to avoid the knife, but the thing barely stopped and continued to move at Caerllion’s direction. Obviously his use of magick had turned him into a target.

Before the creature could reach him, Caerllion used his magick to jump over it. His body became surrounded by the red aura and he could feel the darkness enveloping it. It allowed him to levitate for some meters over the creature, then he landed in a safe distance. His apparent disappearance confused it.

With the creature confused, Caerllion summoned from the ground around it, strings of red energy. Like chains, they bound the thing’s arms and legs. The Annfyn’s hands were covered with his magick, while he struggled to maintain the monster immobilized. “Wodan, go and kill it! I don’t know how long I can maintain the spell.

Carellion’s jump over the creature was majestic, the Annfyn floating through the air twisting as he went. Wodan couldn’t help but pull his eyes away from the disgusting creature to watch as he landed just to the side of the Firrerrian. Turning his eyes back to the ‘thing’ it seemed to have a momentary point of confusion as it tried to seek out Caerllion, its head swivelling back and forth trying to locate the Acolyte.

Wodan was already approaching the creature, when once again the Annfyn’s Magicks came into play, deep red chains appeared from the earth, latching onto every exposed limb of the creature pinning it in place. The ‘thing’ resisted with all its might, each limb moving a few inches before being smashed back to the ground, over and over it went as the Firrerrian advanced in for the killing blow.

Two quick swipes left and right removed its foremost arms, the ones armed with vicious looking blades. Then with a twirl of the wrist he moved the blade into a stabbing action, with both hands on the hilt he pushed forward, the red blade plunging deep into the creatures skull, passing through skin, flesh and bone pushing deep inside destroying whatever it had of a brain and back into the spine beyond.

Another deep below, was let out as it fell to the ground, Wodan’s blade exiting through the top of the creature as it fell to the ground. Concerned it wasn’t one hundred percent dead, the Firrerrian gave it another stab in what he expected was the heart/lungs region. But nothing else came from the lump of flesh.

Deactivating the saber, he placed it back on his belt. In the commotion of the fight, Wodan’s hood was pushed back and the constant rain had soaked the Acolytes head and face. Running his hands through his hair to squeeze some of the water free he then pulled the hood back up as he looked down on the creature.

“Never seen anything like it, it's like an oglomantion of various things.” He said out loud to what he thought was an approaching Caerllion, as he pushed the thing over with his foot revealing more of the disgusting thing.

The creature continued struggling against Caerllion’s spell. While he doubted that the thing had enough strength to break the strings, the Annfyn feared that he would not be strong enough to maintain the enchantment for a long time. Such things used to be exhaustive and consume much of his energy if used for a long time.

Thankfully, Wodan didn't delay in killing the creature. Caerllion watched the Firrerreo approach the struggling beast and use his lightsaber to perforate its skull. The thing screamed with pain and struggled more fiercely against the magick chains. The Annfyn strengthened his hold. Now that it was so close to dying, the Acolyte wasn’t going to let go.

When the creature finally fell to the ground without moving, Caerllion ended the spell. The red aura that was surrounding his hands and eyes disappeared. He took a deep breath, before walking close to Wodan and the corpse. He had been so focused in maintaining it immobilized that the Annfyn didn’t even notice that his hood had fallen down when he jumped. Now that the rain had become stronger, he put it back on the place.

Indeed. This thing doesn't seem to be natural. It reminds me of…” he trailed off, having a bad feeling about this possibility. He kneeled down next to the thing, before moving his right hand until it was hovering over the dead creature. Muttering some words in Ancient Sith, Caerllion watched blue sparks spread across the corpse.

It’s infested with some type of arcane energy that I don’t recognize.” he explained, while getting up. “Its appearance reminds me of alchemical experiments made by a Sith Lord from centuries ago. Do you have any idea of why something like that could be on a planet like this one?” Caerllion expected to see it in Korriban or one of the Sith Worlds, not in a place like this one.

His eyes danced across the remains of the creature everywhere he looked he saw something where it shouldn’t be in correlation to the last item. Shoulders were knees should be, hands on feet and feet on hands. A twisted almost corkscrew spine, it was almost stomach churning just to look at. Wodan watched as Carellion knelt down next to the creature once again the Annfyn’s Magicks flew into action, a small incantation preceded blue sparks which told him something.

Wodan stiffened slightly at Caerllion’s question, the Firrerrian had purposefully kept the reasoning the pair were in this forgotten world a secret. He had told him that they were searching for something an artefact linking back to Sith of old but not exactly. “Yes and it's the reason we are here.”

Reaching back beneath his cloak he pulled out a small piece of what appeared to be parchment, it didn’t look ancient or decrepit if anything it looked pretty clean and neat. It was at most sixty years old, but the people Wodan got this from were not ones for technology and holo-pads. Passing over the parchment to Caerllion. “My guess it is the unnatural corruption of the Dark Side which caused this mutilation. Somewhere in this city is part of one of the strongest instruments of the Dark Side this Galaxy has ever seen.”

Wodan turned away from the carcass and fixed his gaze back towards the centre of the city. “I would expect that’s not the last creature we will see today. Are you still with me Caerllion? I wouldn’t hold it against you if you wanted to leave, this wasn’t what you signed up for.”

Caerllion raised an eyebrow when Wodan said that this thing was the reason why they were on the planet. “Please, elaborate.” he asked, expecting the other to explain exactly what it was about. When he had accepted participation on this little adventure, the Annfyn thought that they were only going to hunt some sort of artifact, not fight the refuse of a Sith experiment gone wrong.

The Annfyn picked the parchment that his fellow Acolyte gave to him. While he read it, Caerllion frowned. What the Firrerreo wanted to find went beyond a simple artifact. It could be even considered a weapon of sorts. “It can be the strongest object ever made, but it’s also very capable of corrupting others.” he pointed at the ‘thing’.

You should have told me what we were going to face before dragging me half way through the Galaxy. I think that I have the right to choose if I want to end as a ball of flesh.” Caerllion wasn’t amused with how the Firrerreo hid from him the details of their exploration. However, he couldn’t deny that he was curious to see the object with his own eyes.

While I’m pissed with it, I’ll continue helping you.” he said, giving the parchment back to Wodan. “I want to see it and you’ll need some help to not end like it. Someone needs to protect your pretty.” he winked playfully at the Firrerreo, before becoming serious again. “But being serious, if I end like this, I’m going to kill you.

With that settled, Caerllion turned to look at the horizon. With the rain continuing to fall, the night was getting darker. “Do you want to continue or should we find a place to rest? I don’t want to fight another of those without any visibility.

Wodan didn’t hide the discomfort in his face as Carellion’s reaction. He should have told the young Annfyn, there was trust there, built up over their shared experiences. But Wodan was being especially careful around this object, hundreds more Sith, dozens more powerful than him would kill to get their hands on this object. He couldn’t let any knowledge he was looking for it slip less he get beaten to it, or worse ambushed upon his return.

Wodan still had little strength behind him, both personally and with the support of others, if a Master wanted his stuff they could take it with ease. “I am sorry, I should have said something. But our friends have beady eyes, I couldn’t chance the wrong people overhearing.” He said guilt evident in the Firrerrian’s voice. Though he quickly chuckled as Carellion turned the serious moment round into a joke.

The night was getting darker, thick clouds blocking out the moon’s rays, but Wodan wasn’t content to spend the night any place close to where this thing appeared. “I would rather move on a bit, we don’t know if its screams attracted any friends.” He replied, if Carellion was in agreement he would head on further into the city.

The rain continued to beat down endlessly for the next hour as the night slowly darkened. Before the last of the moon’s light was taken away from them, he found a building slightly less decrepit than the rest and darted inside. Its roof was at least mostly water tight and there was some old furniture which would be better than sleeping on the stone floor. “Sofa or armchair?”

I understand. We are the lowest part of the Imperial food chain, anyone can take it from you if they know what you are trying to find.” with backstabbing being a natural part of the Sith, Caerllion could understand why Wodan wanted to maintain it as a secret.

“It’s exactly because of us having a low rank that I think that we should have at least a degree of trust. Even if the Sith Order is by nature selfish and petty, it would not have gone so far without people working together.” without any doubt the Empire would have never been formed if they tried to make everything alone.

As beginners in the Empire, we should stay together. This way we are stronger.” there were times that the Sith worked together for a common goal, perhaps the two could do that now. He would let Wodan think about it. Caerllion could have an answer later.

Caerllion nodded in agreement to Wodan’s comment. Another of these creatures could come to investigate the sound of the one that they killed. “I agree. Let’s move some more.” he said, before conjuring a small ball of bright red energy over his left hand. With the night getting darker, the Acolyte wasn't able to see anything on his path. At least it would give some light.

While the rain continued to fall, they would continue walking. When they were at a good distance from where they killed the thing, the two Sith decided to stop. The place that they chose was an old building. Caerllion followed Wodan inside, noticing how the place was dilapted. It was very different from his bedroom in Annwfyn. However, the lack of water falling from the roof turned the place into a paradise.

Sofa, please.” he said, without even thinking twice. Caerllion was a tall person and he needed a large place to sleep. The Acolyte removed his coat and sat in his soon to be bed. Only now he noticed how tired he was feeling. It was the effect of flying halfway through the Galaxy and fighting against a Sith abomination.

So, what do you do when you aren’t doing Sithy things?” the Acolyte asked, while he removed his boots. The two had already participated in other missions together, but Caerllion came to the conclusion that he barely knew the other. The opposite was also true. Perhaps they could change that today.

Wodan let the Annfyn’s words sink in as they walked, he was right they should have some level of trust. But at this moment in time, Wodan was doing too much which could get him killed if the wrong people overheard. So he was being careful, if not a little paranoid with his actions.

“I should have guessed.” He chuckled as Carellion took the sofa, as much as they were both Nobles, the Firrerrian had spent the last half decade living without much of that privilege. Perhaps if he had still been living in that state of luxury he wouldn’t have even given Carellion the privilege of choice.

Closing the door behind him, Wodan had to give it a few slams before the latch held firm against the wind. Looking around he moved a small piece of furniture in front of the creaking door just encase the lock gave out again. Taking off his cloak he gave the thick wool a shake, a small wave of water washing off onto the ground, a few iron hooks in the wall made up the old coat rack and he placed his own on a hook allowing some of the soaked up water to drip away as they rested.

Slumping down onto his chair, he lent down to untie his boots, unlike the Annfyn he kept them on. The sight of the creature earlier still sent chills down his spine and the last thing he wanted to do was fight another barefoot. The release of pressure as he undid the claps done some good a rush of blood pumping into his ankles and feet.

Taking out the flask from earlier he took another drink as Carellion asked his question. “Sleep mostly.” He replied with a smile. “Hobby wise, I don’t really know, nothing has ever really taken my fancy. Perhaps once I have a little more time something might peak my interest. What about you? I assume its something prim and proper, sowing perhaps?” He finished with a cheeky smirk.

Hey, I’m a very tall person! If I end up sleeping in that small armchair, my body will be completely broken when I wake up.” he defended himself, while gesturing to himself. Due to his adoption of the Emryc Thorne Workout Routine, Caerllion was also getting more buff. It didn’t help him fitting in a small space like the armchair. The Annfyn already thought that was going to fall from the sofa.

Caerllion turned to look at Wodan when he answered his question. “Why? Do you want to learn how to sow? Or are you seeking a partner that has a talent for agriculture?” he said, while smirking at the Firrerreo. “I usually do political things, some administration of my family assets, participate in meetings of the parliament and taste carnal pleasures before finally finding my true love. What type of partner do you like? Girls? Boys? Or both?” he winked at the Firrerreo after saying the last part.

I also spend most of my free time taking care of my young Arkanian dragon. She is very spoiled at the moment.” since she hatched some weeks ago, Shergess had become like a baby. The dragon would sleep and cry for food most of the time, then she would wake him up wanting to play. He was starting to think he should have a child.

Do you have a family?” he asked, curious to know more about the past of his friend. He knew that he was affected by the glassing of Firrerre, but wondered if he still had parents or siblings. “I used to live with my father, step-mother and half-brother in Annwfyn. Now I have some properties of my own. I spend most of my time here alone.

Wodan relaxed back sinking into the surprising soft armchair, his eyes closed a small release of pleasure rushing across his face as he did so. God he was tired, the travel had been long and the walk in the rain had chilled him to the bone, all he wanted to do was sleep. He didn’t really here the first part of Caerllion’s reply, so lost in the pleasure of a moment’s rest but he did catch the second part. “At the moment women. At the moment.” A glint of his fangs could be seen as he repeated himself.

“It seems that Dragons are a popular item at the moment.” He said off the cuff, he couldn’t deny that he wanted one himself, but he had heard of a dozen or so of his fellow Sith on the hunt for such a creature. His mood soured a bit when he mentioned family, Wodan was still hurt and angry for what happened to them, but ever since Corsin, he was trying to be a little more one dimensional than just an angry teen.

So he took a deep breath before he replied. “Just my mother left. My father and siblings all died on Firrerre.” He said emptiness was clear in his voice. Wodan had to concentrate to not fall into that pit, as the faded images of his family flooded into his mind.

I like experiencing what seems more interesting at the moment.” he remembered his night with Alex in that yacht party. The Annfyn hoped that it would not be the last time that he had such an experience. “My species believe in true love. When we find one, our eyes will only see them. We’ll live the rest of our lives longing for them, even if they die.

While he understood the cultural importance of true love for his people, the Acolyte had started to doubt if he ever wanted to experience such deep feelings. Caerllion thought about his father and his constant suffering after his mother’s death. He even ignored his new wife, barely fulfilling his obligations as a husband.

The Annfyn noticed the change in Wodan’s demeanor when family was mentioned in their conversation. Caerllion remained in silence, even after the Firrerreo said what had happened with his father and siblings. He wondered how the other dealt with the fact that he was part of the same Order that caused the destruction of his homeworld.

Of course, this destruction was by the orders of the Eternal and they were dead, but Caerllion contemplated if Wodan still had some grudge or internal conflict about it. The Annfyn doubted that he would have forgiven the loss of the members of his family.

My mother died when I was three years old. My parents and I were doing a trail, but we ended up being attacked by a damhán alla. They are giant spiders of Annwfyn.” Caerllion felt that the other Sith deserved to know that the Annfyn understood him, or at least partially. “She was killed protecting me. I watched the whole thing, it wasn’t nice.” he said, his voice being very low. Here was the birth of his Arachnofobia. “It was always considered a strange case. These creatures were nocturnal and the guard that should be protecting us disappeared. Probably ended up being eaten. In the end it was classified as an unfortunate accident.

Caerllion yawned, he was starting to feel the tiredness of having used his magick early. “I think that we should try to sleep a bit. Tomorrow is going to be a long day.
