In the last few weeks and months, Elenath had felt more and more guilty spending his time in meditation and study in near-solitude on the Starlight Beacon. The Jedi, now more than ever, needed active members of the Order who would step out and make a positive difference in the galaxy. For years now, Elenath felt as though he was held back, effectively hamstrung by his own inability to effectively grasp or control his abilities. At times, he even felt as though the Force was a curse — always flooding his mind and dreams with disjointed images, feelings, and senses he didn't and couldn't understand. Even simple, shallow interactions with Elenath's fellow Knights and Padawans brought unbidden portents to the Echani's mind, and what he saw was not always pleasant. Others learned to keep their distance, a fact that led him to seek solitude even more.
So now, despite his station as a Jedi Seer, Elenath had taken his X-wing to the cold planet of Sverend, which lay close to the Jedi world of Ithor. What prompted him to make the excursion were the words of his old teacher, Master Ivoriel. "Embrace these visions, Elenath," he remembered from many years ago. "If you are to be a seer, an oracle of the Light, then you mustn't shut out what you sense. Find what gives you clarity; then pursue it." At the time, the knight interpreted this to delve into the archives and study as much as he could. While his knowledge certainly increased, his experiences did not improve.
Touching down on one of the far northernmost frozen islands of Sverend, disturbed snow whirled into the air. Elenath climbed out of his ship and Beorn ejected from the astromech port, extruding his all-terrain spikes from his spherical housing. Wrapping his scarf close around his neck, the indigo-skinned Echani shivered and looked upwards to the mountain he intended on climbing. "They say that the auroras and starscape of Sverend are second to none," he said half to himself and half to his BB pal. "Let's go see for ourselves, shall we? Oh, and keep your scanners up for any life forms...we don't know what's out there, little one."
