Summary
A dark, indigo-skinned Thyrisian Echani with platinum hair and lithe build of 5’9”, Elenath is a serene yet timid individual. Most would describe him as overcautious, trying too much to please everyone and always walking on eggshells. He dresses in light coloured robes that match his hair and accent his purple eyes. However, once one gets to know Elenath, they will find he is deeply connected to everyone and everything around him. His skill lies in reading people both physically and metaphysically, though he often simply prefers the company of his droid B-RN while staring out across the stars. Elenath is bound by a strong moral compass and wishes to do good in the Galaxy, perhaps enough to make a real and lasting difference. However, his greatest enemy is himself, as his lack of confidence in his own abilities keeps him at bay.
Biography
Elenath was born in hyperspace on his family’s starship, calling no planet nor system his own. His parents Amarthan and Silivren Guldur were spacebound scrappers and salvagers, seeking their fortunes among the stars. The first thing the indigo-skinned Echani laid eyes on were the stars and blue lights wheeling past the viewport of the Intrepid, his family’s craft. Never settling in one place, Elenath was on the move all his life. It slowly became apparent over the years that the young boy was Force-Sensitive, though often in bizarre moments of foresight and precognition. By the time Elenath was in his early teens, he was having vivid dreams and experiencing almost uncontrollable visions simply by touching objects and people. For his own good, Elenath’s parents decided to send the boy to the Jedi Order so he could be properly trained in the ways of the Force. Thus his life on the Starlight Beacon began.
Even under the training and guidance of Master Ivoriel, the young Echani was difficult to teach. He found himself struggling with the more physical manifestations of the force, such as telekinesis, speed, and tutaminis, and he always had a lackluster build for combat. Where Elenath excelled was in the more esoteric areas of the Force — psychometry, sensing, and precognition. In his combat training, he fared better by anticipating and avoiding blaster bolts and lightsaber strikes rather than attempting to block or redirect. Despite taking longer than most padawans to progress, Elenath eventually passed his trials to become a knight while on Starlight Beacon.
Skills and Possessions
Never placing high among his peers in hand to hand or lightsaber combat, Elenath still took well to the Niman form to accentuate his saberstaff and Force-heavy fighting style. Having been raised on a family-owned light freighter, he is a decent pilot and is capable of making quick, improvised patch jobs to keep him from becoming stranded. Elenath is also remarkably at ease and able to maneuver well in zero-g.
