OOC: Open to ALL jedi

Memories of Byblos were still fresh in his mind. He woke up multiple nights with vivid images of the limbs molded together through alchemy, the agonizing screams, the faces of the abomination hounds. How a being could be so twisted and also born in his father’s mind was incomprehensible. However, Ezra came out of the ordeal stronger than ever, and he felt his connection to the Light that much more powerful.

Ezra Thorne never imagined himself beginning to call gatherings for the Jedi or to guide anyone on what to do, but that was precisely what happened. His schooling became secondary and the crisis in the Core Worlds took up most of his time. He looked slightly less polished than usual, his normally trimmed stubble a bit thicker. His eyes betrayed his exhaustion, but fire burned in the silver pools nonetheless.

Today he called the others into a large chamber within Starlight station. He knew some Jedi were still in the Core, but it was essential they all came together as a group to discuss what they witnessed and where to go from here. On top of the abominations, the tabloids and media frenzy about the Sith ruling the Empire also distressed the galaxy at large.

“Byblos is on the mend,” Ezra would announce as the first Jedi began to appear, “We’ve discovered that purging the Dark Nexuses that fuel the abominations quickly weakens them. We were then able to work with the locals to take down the abominations,” Tendy, Orlan, Millie and the others from Byblos all came together to start clearing out the remnant abominations and Ezra felt fully confident when he and Vanya left the planet, “It’s clear our presence is very much needed on these planets, but we still don’t fully understand how Raze creates them. On Byblos, Vanya (@Phoenix ) and I learned that Raze has…followers that create on his behalf,” It was a terrifying thought, the fact that Raze was slowly building a support base. But he was confident the Jedi could overcome this and ultimately defeat him.

In a galaxy of darkness, the Jedi would always be the unwavering Light.

Today was different from the others. T'vani had been informed that she was being transported to a different temple, not for training but because of a gathering. She didn't have the opportunity to learn the exact details in the Jedi's haste to get her ready, but she was perceptive enough to understand something was wrong. Even as she was loaded into the starship to depart, T'vani could sense the unease and tension in the air. This wasn't going to be a trip for fun.

Screenshot_3.png
At the very least, she was becoming more accustomed to travel through space. The normally queasy feelings were less profound as the ship landed and T'vani offboarded. The only downside was that since she didn't have the feeling of sickness, she was left to focus on the heavy air surrounding everybody else.

Screenshot_3.png
T'vani was corralled into a room with numerous other Jedi, though she failed to see anyone as young as she was. These all looked like experienced people much older than her. They all looked and acted like actual Jedi Knights, and she was only an Initiate, so why was she here? She didn't have long to ponder as she sat in one of the seats, and the announcements began.

Screenshot_3.png
This was not a trip for fun.

Screenshot_3.png
Dark Nexuses? Abominations? Raze? Byblos? These were all terms and names T'vani didn't know, but she could feel they were important. She was beginning to understand why she was brought here. Although she was only an Initiate, it was still crucial for her to know and learn about the things she would inevitably face one day. She needed to learn about the Sith and their machinations, which was why she was here.

Screenshot_3.png
T'vani resigned herself to silence. She was new, untrained, and needed to gain knowledge of these events. It wasn't her place to speak up, but to listen silently and learn from this situation. Her large burgundy eyes focused on the rugged-looking man making the announcements, her ears fanning flat against her head as her tail curled around her waist.

Myrell’anay stepped up next.

“Our struggle for Coruscant is still ongoing, and will be for the foreseeable future,” she admitted, though there was no trace of shame in her voice. Nobody could have expected them to solve a debacle of that magnitude in the brief time they’d been there.

“The scale of this evil is beyond imagination, but everywhere pockets of resistance fight on. We established a foothold and recovered precious data from the Grand Medical Facility, as well as secure records and biological samples which could learn us much about the kind of abominations we took to calling ‘infiltrators’, for lack of a better name,” she continued. Then a frown. “Assuming it isn’t all dark side sorcery.” Which at this point was anything but a given.

Kane sauntered through the corridors and halls of the Starlight Beacon. Fresh from the horrors of Coruscant. A bit of scruff had grown along his chin and lips, his black hair just slightly longer. Bags of stress weighed on his dark brown eyes, making them seem even darker. Coruscant, and the fight against the abominations both big and small had changed him- humbled him. The nightmares made sure he'd never forget the lessons he learned on that Force forsaken planet.

He rounded a corner into the chamber the Jedi had been called to gather in. There weren't too many in attendance yet. Somehow Kane had beaten them there despite his slow pace through the halls. A part of him wondered is Mako (@Arcangel ) would be there, or if they'd holo in. Coruscant was going to be a slog of a fight. Kane himself would still be there if he hadn't recognized a need for self-reflection and training in himself.

The bottom of his crimson tunic billowed against his black trousers as he made his way to an empty seat next to a particularly young individual (@Remileah). He'd never seen her kind before, but that wasn't very surprising. Galaxy was a big place. He sat down, leaning back to fold his black sleeved arms across his chest.

Kane wasn't well versed with the man who spoke, but a small smile crept onto his lips when Myrell'anay (@Volene) spoke up. They had seen hell, and made it back. Made him wonder all the more about Mako, and if Myrell'anay was having the same kind of nightmares that Kane was. He'd have to ask her after the meeting.

They had told her that her first trip to Starlight Beacon would be educational. This meeting wasn't quite what Alienor had in mind. She'd heard about 'Raze' in passing, from whispered mentions around the Takodana temple and headlines on the Holonet that were best avoided. Linny must have had the very good fortune to be protected, coddled and hidden from the horrors of the Galaxy.

Clearly, that time was ending.

The very word 'abominations' sent a shiver of fear down Linny's spine. Some of the older initiates and padawans had spoken about them, swapping rumours of twisted bodies, splattered with gore and ichor, fused together through hideous, dark rituals. Tired, resolute Knights gave focused updates on what had happened and where the fight continued. Trying to imagine what they had faced in the last few weeks was beyond Linny's comprehension.

She stood at the back of the hall, listening. Her eyes going wider with each passing moment as she took it all in. As the Twi'lek knight spoke, Linny's face drained of colour. Her ears twitched with undisguised anxiety. It had become very clear that becoming a Jedi would not just be about introspective meditation and esoteric training. It would mean standing up and facing the most violent of horrors and abject of evils.

It had also become very clear that little Linny had a very short amount of time to grow up and deal with it.

Of course, Vanya was here. She had taken a bit of time to get used to the idea that she was a Jedi now, but she had fought and bled alongside these people now, and in many ways that counted for far more than even shared ideology.

She had taken her seat among the others, and looked at those who were gathered. She could tell others had been in the fray as well. Although some of those who had come were still bright eyed, most now cared a weariness in them that was the clear sign of sleepless nights and trauma that would remain with them - with her - forever.

The things she had witnessed on Byblos were things that people wouldn't understand. If you hadn't been there and seen them, how could you explain that to someone? How would they understand pushing through that? How would they be able to know the cost? They wouldn't.

For now she said nothing since she had traveled with Ezra and he gave report on the Byblos situation. For the moment, she simply listened to what others had experienced. They were all in it together now.

Rahman still was perplexed that each time he had ventured into the canteen and attempted to make friends with the staff there that he'd receive noodles shortly after introducing himself. Not that he complained, each time it was a tasty treat that would hit the spot just right.

Making his way toward the gathering, the Orcolan and his hulking seven-foot stature met eyes with Ezra @Sreeya who was perhaps one of the few Jedi who could almost make his eye line. The update was quite chilling, but still filled with rays of hope. If the Jedi could work together well, they could still overcome the worst evil the Galaxy had seen in some time. "What of the animals? Or can they only turn sentient creatures?" His question was close to heart and full of genuine concern.

There were many a manner of critter and creature that could fall victim to the harshest of sorceries, but Rahman had yet to hear if this particular Dark Lord had been targeting any specifically. This was all very new to the Knight, but the more they knew before engaging the better.

R'ashtaro followed the assembly call, made by the Jedi who had been dealing with the crisis in the Core, to the Starlight Beacon. He had only been to the station a couple of times, all short visits, and had not had the opportunity to learn the layout of its interior. The station was busy, as any Jedi temple or base of operations would be. But there was something different about the atmosphere of the place. R'ashtaro's nose twitched, sending his whiskers bouncing. He could swear even the smell was off. The gravity of issues facing the galactic community had not fallen on deaf ears amongst the Jedi.

R'ashtaro asked a passing padawan for directions. He thanked them, exposing his fanged teeth in a smile. The padawan's eyes widened as they mumbled a stuttered "you're welcome." R'ashtaro chuckled to himself as he moved on. Such youth. Sheltered and with many corners, nooks, and crannies of the Galaxy still to be seen. A couple of years into knighthood, the strange and unfamiliar began to feel less frightening and curious. Faces such as his own rarely made a grown Jedi's heart(s) miss a beat.

All the more reason to not underestimate the issues at hand, he thought as he came up on the meeting room. What the Jedi working in the Core had witnessed there - what they had fought against - had sent tremors through the Order. It was vital now that all capable thereof took measures accordingly.

His ears twitched as he entered the gathering. Discussions were already underway. He ran his gaze over the assembled Jedi, seeing many faces he did not recognize. One that stood out, however, was a fellow Fiani (@Remileah) whose acquaintance R'ashtaro had recently made on Takodana. She wasn't the only young face in the crowd, however. Good, he thought. They would benefit from acquainting themselves with Raze's horrors early on. It was important to know one's enemy.

R'ashtaro settled against a pillar in the back wall of the room. He would chime in when the discussion opened up. Until then, he would listen to what the Jedi who had fought in the Core had to say.

It had not been too since Agailia had been on Starlight beacon it was under better circumstances, but the work of the order was never complete. The reports coming from the core were past troubling, monsters running through the streets attacking the innocent could not be ignored. The Temple on Takodana seemed to have been spared the horror of these beasts now, but the Sith promise to obliterate all Jedi worlds was made, the order would need to address this head-on for their sake and of their allies.

Agailia arrived at the location of the meeting to see the chamber already filling with many young and old from the order, the room busted with side conversations until Thorne @Sreeya began to speak. The Knight spoke of abominations and Dark Nexuses that fueled them. The fact they made some headway in weakening them was promising, but it still felt like more needed to be discovered if the order were to fully handle this threat.

Thorne very clearly made a call to action in the core, the Jedi had made many promises, and this was only a step in the right direction. The threat of Darth Tempest and an empire being controlled from the shadows also loomed over this council. Tempest made open threats against the order, reaffirming the old promise of destruction, considering the Sith have achieved this like a child skipping rocks in the past, Agailia felt the order needed a plan of action for this also. “Has there been a way to identify where these nexuses are located? Any symbology or calling cards that these followers leave?” If they could devise a way to track these outbreaks then perhaps enough information could be collected to better understand it and stamp it out.

Harald was present at the gathering. It was a large gathering. Truth be told, the newly minted Knight was out of his element in regards to the talk with abominations and Darth Raze, right now he's trying to help Jedi diplomatically in the galaxy.

In regards to the matter at hand, was a good relief that the Jedi have been making great strides against the creatures. Despite the sheer killing power of the abominations, they do weaknesses and the Jedi possess the means to defeat them. There is still much to be learn though still it seems.

The diplomat didn't say anything yet. He didn't have any inquiries of his own at the moment, so he will be a good listener. However, if there is something Harald can do in regards to Raze and his horrors, he will step up to the plate.

The past month and a half had been a whirlwind. Everything had changed. The council was still silent. The Grandmaster was missing and the galaxy was on fire. Luckily, there was a group of Jedi that refused to be silent in the face of adversity. Baudelaire was dressed in his usual mission attire and it would be obvious from his clothes condition that he’d been busy.

Where Ezra and several others had decided to address the monsters in the Core. Leon turned his attention to the war effort. Raze needed to be their top priority, but the Empire couldn’t be ignored. The issue was the Jedi weren’t an army. They didn’t even have karking leaders right now. Well, they did, they were just unofficial, which made everything a pain in the ass. Fucking bureaucracy. Thankfully, those were hurdles they could work around.

From the information Leon had gathered, he was sure they could, at the very least, give the Empire pause. The hard part would be finding dependable fighters. He needed people willing to bend the rules a little in order to carry out the will of the Light.

Leon entered the chamber as Ezra was just getting started. The Adumarian gave his buddy a nod in greeting, and paid Vanya the same respect. Anyone who looked at him would be greeted. He wasn't known for being a dick, but he wasn’t the smiling cinnamon roll most had come to expect right now either. They didn’t have time to dick around with pleasantries and to his great surprise most people kept their mouths shut and listened. That was a good sign.

Everyone here was serious. They were invested. They were real Jedi.

Baudelaire leaned against the wall and crossed his arms over his chest. He was interested in hearing the answers to the questions asked. So, he stuck to the back of the room and kept his mouth shut until it was needed.

It was difficult to keep track of everything that occurred over the past few weeks. Despite their frequent stagnation, the Jedi mobilized into full force - driven by the multitude of crisis’ that plagued the Galaxy at once. Steady progress was being made against the Forces of Raze, while a pause in Hapan attacks offered them some breathing room. Of course, none of it came without setbacks. The loss of Bastion had opened their northern territories to constant attack, without the resources or allies to defend them.

And then.. There was the Grandmaster. Whether Alexandria had perished or simply gone into exile, their leader of decades had been defeated by the Dark Lord of the Sith. Perhaps Alexandria had not been the active leader they needed.. But she was a paragon of the Light. A symbol they all looked towards as a source of strength, and her loss was felt profoundly by all.

Ferrin had seen little free time since the last gathering of the Jedi. His own assignments took him into the Outer Rim, disrupting the movement of weapons and other supplies into the hands of Raze. It took him to Tirahn, in an effort to heal its comatose Senator and earn their Order an important ally.

The Pantoran was late by a few minutes of his peers - arms casually tucked into his pockets as he strolled into the chamber. He was dressed in his more ceremonial and ornate robes - trimmed with and accents of silver metal. It was the closest he ever came to traditional, unwilling to compromise on his own sense of style.

Without a word, Ferrin came to stand alongside Leon - giving his long-time friend a silent nudge with his shoulder, his lips tugging up towards a smile. They’d both survived the past few weeks, and it was something he’d always be grateful for.

His gaze quickly found its way to Ezra - that smile expanding ever-so-slightly. It was perhaps the first time he’d seen the Thorne less than polished to perfection, rugged and worn from the conflicts they faced, and Ferrin couldn’t help the way his gaze lingered on the prominent stubble and fire beyond those silver eyes. The Thorne had rapidly grown into a leader amongst his peers, and Ferrin couldn’t deny feeling some pride swell within his chest. Even if he didn’t envy the spotlight and responsibilities that Ezra now carried.

For the moment, the Pantoran kept quiet - listening to what the others had to add. Ferrin had his own opinions and plans he wanted to suggest to their assembly. A course of action he believed necessary if they were not only going to survive, but win. But he would allow those more experience with Raze and his abominations to converse first.

Ezra was pleased to see people trickling in. He didn’t need to lean on his friends as much this time when he was speaking, and he felt confident standing where he was. Most chose to listen, but a few asked questions and engaged. The part Sephi turned to the elder twi’lek (@Volene ), thinking about the question asked by the orcolan Jedi (@Xorism ), “Infiltrators? What do you mean by that?” Ezra asked the woman, slightly alarmed. Any abomination he had seen were limbs thrown together by twisted alchemy or manufactured beasts. Did the Coruscant crew uncover something even more horrific?

While there was a pause to allow her to answer, Ezra next turned to Agialia (@Darius ) to address her question, “It appears that these nexuses get created as a byproduct of the initial massacres that occur,” Ezra explained, “A dark nexus forms in a place of great trauma. That’s why anywhere Raze strikes is so drastic and large scale. The action creates the nexus, which in turn fuels the monsters. Our presence and creating Light side nexuses would counter that,” It was a theory so far, “Abominations are severely weakened around Light side presence…the challenge is most of the Core is still very suspicious of Jedi.”

He looked out to the broader group. He didn’t bring everyone here to stand on stage and talk at them. The Jedi Order needed all hands on deck, “Any suggestions on what we do next?” He asked of them all, "Remember, anyone can contribute.." He said as he looked especially to the padawans and initiates.

Vanya gave a slight smile as she saw Leon (@Zay). He was one of the first members of the Order to make her feel that perhaps she wasn't out of place here. To explain to her what it actually meant to be a Jedi.

Animals, too, although it seems like those created from sentient beings tend to be more intelligent. Most abominations seem to retain some of the strengths they had in life, she said, addressing the question of the Orcolan Jedi (@Xorism).

Vanya didn't like the sound of "infiltrators" but it would certainly... explain some things. Coruscant's defenses in particular were those of a major Core World. It wouldn't be breeched on a whim unless something deeper were at work. Initially she had thought that it was simply the Forgemasters who had made it through, but now... she wasn't so sure.

We need to find a way to track the artifacts these Forgemasters are using. It may not stop the creation of abominations outright, but it would slow production considerably. Each one that's destroyed is countless people saved, she proposed for a path forward (@Sreeya), no exaggeration in the words. There was no counting how many people each of these underlings had indirectly killed.

Agailia blinked quickly as she took in Ezra’s response, Monsters that fed off the trauma in the area would be hard to combat as there was so much of it across the galaxy. Raze was like fertilizer to the problem, anywhere she struck, an outbreak would not be far behind. As Ezra continued to explain that the source of the monsters could be countered with a light nexus, this at least gave some hope, all the force was balanced for better or for worse.

“Perhaps we can use this as a way to build a bit of that back, create light nexuses on worlds that may have a higher likelihood of being targets, and on worlds already affected,” @Sreeya she said looking around at the rest of the order. “If this does indeed weaken these creatures, we can use that opportunity to capture specimens, and have the opportunity to learn more about our enemy.” She said looking back to Ezra.

Agailia was troubled by Vanya’s words, animals on a world could be infected purely for the sake of numbers, which could lead to Jedi deployed being overrun The Jedi would have to lean heavily into the idea that the light was a full counter an idea that was likely but to Ezra’s words was still now only a theory. “Are we able to feel these artifacts in the force, the light force nexuses could be used to pinpoint their location?” @Phoenix Agailia said looking over at Vanya, “It's worth a try at least if we are already on the planet.”

The gathering filled in with more and more Jedi, asking and answering various questions. Linny shirked towards the edges with little to say or add, absorbing every grim detail that added to the pile. Still early in her training, Linny had little to offer the discussions on Light side nexuses, other than that they were clearly necessary. Fighting abominations was out of her league.

As the discussion continued and the handsome Knight Thorne (@Sreeya) continued, she wondered what her family would make of this. What would they say if they knew their little Linny was present in a discussion of massacres and great evils. That was when something clicked in her mind. What would her family do?

Linny raised her hand, as if she was in the middle of a class. When it became clear that no, there'd be no instructor or teacher calling on her, she stepped forwards a little. With a blush on her cheeks, she started to speak. "If the people of the Core planets are suspicious, we have to be their champions in everything, from the bottom up." Her lilt sounded so soft and quiet in the expanse of the hall, amongst all these confident and brave Jedi. She couldn't give up now though.

"And I mean more than just diplomatic contact and negotiating. I mean like, there on the worlds. Helping, providing. Food and health and... and... everything! My family stands for the commonfolk on my homeworld and not even our Queen dares stand against them. If we make ourselves as valuable as we can to the people, then all the tabloid reporters and lying politicians in the Galaxy couldn't break through that."

How did that relate to the current situation? "And.. uh.. then we're building support. Worlds that'll come to support our stuff. Unite to like... warn and contain the threat." What direct applications there were, well... it was quite clear that Linny wasn't sure. It had to be worth a shot though. That was when she noticed she'd kept her hand raised through the whole spiel, and quietly lowered her arm with a mortified look on her face.

She didn't want to be back on the Starlight Beacon, but when she heard Ezra had returned from Blybos, she felt excitement to be ready to pick up on her training with him. However, when she found it was to give a status report on the abominations instead, she felt her heart sink some. She had watched other padawans with their masters, they went wherever their teachers would go, though there were a good number of them that didn't go directly into the heart of the darkness like Ezzie. There was an understanding from the padawan it would have been too dangerous, she had heard stories about padawans being easily tempted to join the dark path and would fall into a spiral of chaos and destruction. It sounded horrible to her, but even while joining other Knights on their assignments, it didn't feel the same.

On top of it all, the restlessness that buzzed in her chest was still there. Her mom wasn't answering messages, which wasn't usual, especially if she was out on some remote worlds, but there was a feeling. It reminded her of the cold, it was hollow where she should have felt a joy, peace, and safety. She didn't understand it, and tried not to give meaning where no meaning was needed. She turned to perhaps she was overthinking it since she was keeping herself overly busy with other Jedi things, nothing of the matter, if something was wrong, her mom would reach out.

She had watched as others as they gathered into the hall where Ezra was meeting everyone. She didn't stand beside him like last time, she didn't think it would look right given the attention on him and didn't want to be a distraction or say something that would embarrass him. He asked for ideas on what they should do next, and Theia listened, her own ideas not coming right away but hoped something would be said to spark something in her. Another padawan suggested to return to the basics and silently she agreed.

“The young one is right,” Myrell chimed in (@Charndley). “At least in theory. If there were enough Jedi in the galaxy to assign a handful to every planet and assist with small matters, we would. But being spread so thin means picking our battles carefully. And as abominations ravage Core worlds, the Empire wages war on our allies and the Sith lie ever in waiting, it borders on indefensible to have Jedi permanently tasked with helping the elderly cross airspeeder lanes on unaffected worlds. We cannot hold the galaxy by the hand. There is more good to do elsewhere.” Besides, as unfortunate as tabloid libel was, standing against something as unequivocally evil as Raze’s army was bound to improve the public’s opinion of the Jedi Order in itself.

“Now, infiltrators,” she continued (@Sreeya). “I cannot take credit for coining the term, which goes to our very own Knight Mako Krim (@Arcangel). Through summary examination of records from the Grand Medical Facility, certain observations drew our attention. I would read the entries to all gathered if I had them before my eyes, but the crux of it is that certain monsters may have the capacity to take a humanoid form,” the healer said gravely.

“We believe the one we fought had that capacity. Further analysis is underway, but it is suspected they entered the Grand Medical Facility as a human patient feigning illness, then revealed their true form and killed everyone inside. The biological samples I mentioned will serve to test that hypothesis.”

Mako was tired. No, scratch that. Mako was exhausted. He had spent weeks on Coruscant, living day by day, night by night. There was just so much that needed to be done on the force-forsaken ecumenopolis. The Jedi had done the best that they could, spread as thin as they were. Moving people out of the upper levels, shuttling people off world. Protecting those unable or unwilling to flee. The fact of the matter was that Coruscant was just too big, with too many people. For every life they saved there was no doubt a dozen more lost to the abominations... or made to be abominations.

Mako had made it off the planet for this meeting. Barely. He had gotten to Starlight Station with just enough time for a good solid shake in the sonic shower. Enough time to discard his old clothing that were most certainly not able to be saved. Enough time to don a pair of generic Jedi robes that were freely available on the station.

He had arrived at the meeting as early as possible, caught all that had been said so far. He lingered, tucked away as he listed wearily, leaning against a wall. He had no hair nor scrubble to grow, but his eyes looked tired. The lines of his face were deeply creased, and his blue colorations was off... light and pale from lack of sleep. He watched and waited as Myrell'anay started the explanation about the Infiltrators before stepping forwards.

"I am Mako Krim, and I can speak on the 'Infiltrators'... Though I am not sure that the name is entirely accurate based on what little we know." Mako said as he stepped forwards to follow his fellow Jedi's words. Those who knew him would see how drained he was, how little he looked like himself after weeks upon weeks in the field. His usual flashy dress and grand manner was no more. He wore simple robes and his persona was almost deflated.

"Tested samples from the Grand Medical Facility indicate a level of genetic corruption in one patient that was there during the time leading up to the crisis. However, we cannot be certain the two are linked, and science has no way of detecting the influence of the Force on genetic material from either the Light or the Dark." He said before taking a breath. By the Force he was tired.

"Further evidence from the field suggests that the circumstances leading to this hypothesis has been mimicked at least once. A safe zone was completely destroyed during my time on Coruscant. I investigated and found no evidence of an attack from outside of the safe zone. The few survivors corroborated this conclusion, reporting no outside attack but rather the sudden appearance of one of the Abominations within the zone." He shuddered visibly for a moment at the thought as he recalled the scene that he had came upon during his investigation. Bodies, torn to shreds. Clumps of flesh strewn about near the exits as people had run from whatever chased them inside. He blanched visibly, his already too pale flesh going even lighter. He took a deep breath before continuing.

"Honestly, we have no idea what to make of it. My current guess at best is perhaps our enemy has discovered a way to delay the transformation of an individual in order to conceal them long enough to move them into place for optimal... carnage." He hesitated at that as he thought of it. The mindset of such a monster was beyond him and to even try to place himself in that thought process for even a moment went against every fiber of his being.

"That is the best that we have come up with... Our knowledge of these abominations and the methods through which they are produced is virtually non existent. If it weren't for the necessity to know our enemy, I would honestly prefer that it stayed that way." He said with sorrow in his voice before stepping back to let others take the floor.

Listening to the two jedi he was with on Coruscant speak of the infiltrators sent a shiver up Kane's spine, a shiver that became visible as his entire body shook. Remembering that thing. Durasteel, duracrete, nothing held it back. It ripped floors and walls, bacta tanks out of sockets, and it used everything it could get it's man-sized claws on as weapons. It didn't help that it was the size of a rancor. If Kane never had to face another one of those things again he'd be happy, but he was a Jedi Knight; Jedi led a life of sacrifice and duty, so it was only a matter of time before he'd see one again.

He stayed quiet for the moment, leaning back in his chair. It took everything he had not to keep thinking about the abomination, or Coruscant in general.
