Caduceus Ramage was rather tall for a Harch, standing at just six feet tall. He had an impressive coat of white hair surrounding his exoskeleton, a rarity among his species which came from his northern heritage. This also extended to his eyes which, instead of being blood red, were an icey blue. His build is stocky and slightly hunched much like the rest of his species. Beyond the odd fur and eye color along with his height, he honestly is a very basic Harch.

His upbringing too was rather average. He was born into a slightly more affluent Harch nest on Secundus Ando built in one of the many caverns near the northern pole of the planet. He learned early on to be the best of the best or else he would be left behind which forced him to quickly excel at a young age. He rapidly consumed any piece of knowledge about other cultures: from their music, to their art, to their behaviors. This allowed him to more easily understand his future opponents and give him an advantage when knowing what to expect from them. During his studies he found iut two major aspects of his self; he actually quite enjoyed the fine arts beyond the useage he had initially for it and he felt the Sith Empire would be the best of the majorngovernments to suit his brutal nature. They were militarily the strongest and already were known for brutality, so an aspiring Harch should fit right in.

Ramage enlisted to the Navy as soon as he found transport off world and quickly felt right at home. He found himself studying to be an officer, reading over records and strategies the great tacticians like Thrawn, Yularen, Ackbar, and Trench. He was known as one of the brightest students in his class but certainly the most brutal. Even during simulations he was aggressive, sometimes completely overwhelming his opponents before they could address his movements. His physical training was less successful, not to say he was weak it was just due to his species build he was not quite as fast on his feet as his classmates. He excelled when it came to strength, endurance, and obviously climbing, it's just that his species' legs are not designed to combat something that's rather quick. He graduated with top marks and quickly was positioned to the Night Veil, a Pugio-class Frigate, as first mate.

As most Harch are, Ramage started out abrasive, cold, distant, and very strict. He pressed those under him as hard as he could and most broke under his pressure atleast once. But what they saw is that when they broke, they finally were able to reach the heights Ramage pushed them to. He made his team as efficient as possible with the material he had, yet the reslitively high turnover rate of men under his command worried him. His standards were still high but as he led he learned to listen to his men more and more. He began to treat them less like tools and more like living beings.

He still kept the pressure on them as high as he could, but he began to teach instead of just bashing them. He himself learned how not to just be a war machine and how to enjoy some things. He started painting and writing music to start, and it seemed he and his crew bonded over the art he created. So his interests grew and began to envelop model building, sculpting, and even conducting. A few of the crew already knew how to play instruments and many more were interested in learning so Ramage decided to start up a small group orchestra. Of course this was all done on their leisure time, but seeing as he required little sleep he had to fill the scheduled sleep time with something that's not just work (which somehow be still managed to do). Soon the crew grew to love the rather massive arachnid, which assisted in making them only a better team.

Through battle after raid after skirmish after patrol, the Night Veil was one of the most efficient craft in its region. The captain knew he would retire soon, so he differed more and more decisions to Ramage. Eventually he was given command during several combat encounters which allowed the insectoid mind to work at what it was best at. Of course he cared for the beings that were with him, atleast as much as he could as an arachnid, yet he became a cold hearted machine when he commanded. He was calculating, rapidly adapting, and shockingly clever. He brought the ship to its limits as much as he had with the crew as he used every last drop of their potential. And after one battle where he managed to trick a light cruiser into being destroyed by an oncoming meteor shower, the captain decided to finally offer Ramage up for promotion to Lieutenant under recognition of his command and, as soon as the promotion was confirmed, retired. As a final gift, Ramage was awarded a gold lined ER-1120 Blaster Pistol from his old captain and was given command of the ship he knew like the back of his clawed hand.
