Cairo was born on the road. His mother, the "Prophetess" Kisufi, used to say that he was a surprise; she was piloting a ship, totally unaware of her pregnancy, when out he came. A blessing, she called it, but also a curse. The Prophetess was was a con artist; she posed as a Sith witch, selling fake baubles and bunk medicines to small colonies across the Outer Rim before she was, inevitably, chased out of town.

They moved constantly. He became a part of the act; sometimes, her young Acolyte, learning the secrets of Sith Magicks. Other times, he played a skeptical child in the audience. The role mattered little; it was the bond between mother and son that carried the performance, always. When his natural Force ability was revealed, it only added to the mystique. He used parlor tricks and a mask of charm to help convince those doubters that their fake wares were, indeed, magical.

This life of wheeling and dealing was brought to an end when they tried their act on a real Sith. It took a brief demonstration of her power to know that she was no mere swindler. Though, she had seen the boy's talent in the Force and sensed potential. An exchange was made - the boy would be taken back to Dromuund Kaas for training, and the Prophetess would keep her life.

There, he honed his skills to the point where he could be a proper Acolyte. Although he made many close friends and enduring bonds in the Sith Order, he hated the reality and cruel excesses of the Sith, and abandoned the order shortly before the coup d'etat against the Sith. Spending a decade wandering the galaxy aimlessly, he has returned to the Empire to enlist in the Imperial Knights.
