Rish chuckled for a moment. The thought of seeing his student trying to kill this beast with a vibroblade would be a sight indeed. But Rish had found some trust within his acolyte. Rish then extended his arm with the lightsaber loosely gripped in his hand.

"You will use my lightsaber. Although I will be very displeased if you lose it."

Rish laughed a bit but he was being quite serious. But he was not going to be alone when this happend. Rish would aid him.

"You're joking, right?" Al was shocked. How was he going to kill this hideous, yet humongus beast. Well atleast he would get to use a lightsaber. He had used lightsabers only a handful of times at the temple on Ando Prime, but those were only practice lightsabers. Hopefully, there wouldn't be to much of a difference.

Al started thinking how he would kill the rancor. The belly of the beast would probably be the weakest point, so if Al could get under it and maybe cut open the stomach, the rancor would have a hard time fighting. Then, he could cut a few trees down onto the beast, trapping it, and finally, go in for the kill. The plan was almost perfect as long as Al executed it correctly.

He grabbed his master's lightsaber and jumped to the ground silently. He landed softly and charged the monster quietly. The rancor didn't see him! His plan was going to work!

((Do you want to control the rancor? It would probably be better if you did.))

((Alright I shall rp the Rancor.)

Rumuging through the bones of his fallen meals, the rancor cocked his head and sniffed the air for a moment and made a slight grunting noise.
He could smell a morsel approaching yet he wasint sure of where it was.
Then suddenly the Rancor found a fresh Felucian who was killed by some other beast while he must of been poaching him. The Rancor picked it up by its legs and took a rather large bite out of him leaving only the torso left hanging outside of his mouth as he closed it....

((Sorry I haven't posted lately. Been busy))

Good. The beast didn't see him. He was busy chewing on the corpse of a dead Felucian. Disgusting.

Al hit the ground when he was about three yards away from the rancor. He was sliding in the blood filled mud. He ignited Rish's lightsaber and slid under the rancor, cutting open its stomach the whole way. Guts poured out onto the ground. And Al. He was covered in sweat, blood, guts, and mud. He felt like he was going to be sick, but he kept moving. He emerged on the other side of the rancor still sliding. He came up running towards the trees.

Roaring in pain the rancor flung its claws around himself, ripping up the soil and whatever layed ontop of it. Quickly the Rancor discovered what had done this act to him. Immediately he went into a spirit of rage as his prey ran for the trees. Rocks and bones cluttered his way as he ran torwards al.
Smacking away at each piece they flew, crashing into huge trees toppling them at the point of impact.

((Really sorry I haven't posted in forever. Hope we can continue.))

Al dodged the falling trees that the rancor was knocking down in his rage. The beast was screaming loudly in pain. Al couldn't here him because of the mud, guts, and blood that coated his body, had also clogged his ears, but he could tell because thousands of tropical birds were fleeing the trees. Al would have to unclog his ears, but he didn't have the time. He had to keep moving.

Al wasn't sure what his next move would be. Hopefully the beast would be exhausted and loose consciousness. Then Al could slit the rancor's throat and complete the mission.

Moving closer and closer the Rancor could feel the pain getting worse and worse. Picking up a large boulder the Rancor threw it at Al in his furry of rage and malice.

Al dodged the boulder using the force to propel himself behind a tree with a back flip. If he had been a more experienced Bogan user, he could have sent the giant rock flying back at the rancor's head, possibly killing the violent beast. Unfortunately, Al was not a more experienced Bogan user and all he could do was dodge the flying missile.

Al dodge in and out of the trees, making sure the rancor couldn't tell where he where he was. Al was going to cut out the rancor's legs from out under him. Or at least one of them. He reached the rancor and hacked at the back of it's knee. He only cut into the knee about half way, but then used force to push the leg in, giving the rancor the sensation that his leg was being kicked out from other him.

Falling down on its knees, the Rancor roared in pain once more. Now it thrashed its claws around in a mad sense of rage at anything that moved.

Yes! Al could go in for the kill! He'd have to be careful though. The rancor was flailing everywhere. He moved in towards the neck. He dodged the claw of the beast several times and was about to plunge his master's lightsaber in the neck of the rancor when the claw clipped his arm. His arm spouted blood. The cut was deep. Al plunged the lightsaber into the rancor's neck and then lost consciousness.

The Rancor let out one final roar of pain as his wound became ever more critical. Falling to the ground, the ground shook on impact. Rish then walked over to the now dead Rancor and gave small clap to his acolyte.

"Good my acolyte. This was a great test of strength. As for that saber within your hands that would be yours now. I rather left mine at the temple."

Rish then sat on the now unclenched claw of the Rancor and used one of its fingers as a arm rest.

"Tell me, do you know the code of the Bogan? The code in which guides our orders and gives us the means in which we may direct our paths?"

Al was regaining consciousness. His master, Rish, sat upon the rancor's hand like it was an arm chair. Rish has asked him about some code...the Bogan Code...Lets see if he could remember...

"Ugh...um...No peace...only suffering...No knowledge...only...instinct...No serenity...only passion...No...harmony...only...chaos...No...life...only death." Al was breathing hard. His arm was screaming with pain. His blood mixed with mud and rancor blood and guts. The red crimson liquid poured out of his arm, and through his fingers as he grasped his deep wound. "Help...me...master...heal me..."

He lost consciousness for the second time.

Rish merely stood up and walked over to his acolytes limp body and picked him up and threw him over his back. Finding a near cave, Rish laid his body down upon some soft bushes. Rish then laid pitch black robes beside him. These robes were some what of signal that his acolyte was getting close to the end.

Al drifted in and out of consciousness. He believed he was in a cave, but he wasn't sure. He might have just confused his dreams with reality. He dreamed about his mother. And the hermit. And then the Academy. He dreamed about the different duels he had there. He dreamed about fighting the rancor. And he dreamed about his future. Finally, he gained enough energy to stay awake. He managed to walk over to his master who sat at the front of the cave. He collapsed next to his master and started meditating.

"You tend to thrash around like the Rancor you slayed. Tell me what did you dream, my acolyte?"
Rish merely sat with his legs tucked in and looked out into the jungle thatl iad before them. The life on this planet was always in a struggle with one another. Death on this planet was an everyday thing. It was magnifescent.

"My mother mostly" Al answered. "But also the different duels I fought in at the temple and my fight with the rancor. I guess those are what maybe thrash around. I'm not sure though."

"She was a kind woman, from what I remember. She was beautiful, too. She couldn't afford to keep me when my father died. She asked an old hermit who was once a Jedi to take me to Coruscant to be cared for and trained as a Jedi, as she knew I was force sensitive. Instead the Dark Jedi took me in and I haven't heard of her since. I hope one day...I may go visit her, but my duty is to the Bogan."

"Perhaps you will and perhaps you wont. And this is my own belief so do not speak of this to other members. Your duty should be to yourself. The order comes first for me but that is only because I have nothing at the moment to follow."
Rish then took out a knife once more and began to sharpen his tusks once more.

"Here me out my acolyte, there are many paths within this realm we call the Galaxy. Now why is it that you chose a darker one?"

Al pondered this for a moment. He then spoke: "Well master, there wasn't much of a choice. The hermit was killed on his way to Coruscant by Dark Jedi and they brought me to Ando Prime to be trained in the ways of the Bogan. I was only four. I just went along with everything."
